I have made a decision about Jakks vs Mattel.......

i hope not, Jakks; in the later years, were being VERY stingy by saving colors for the TNA line and we the collectors know that's low down BS

I am a fan of Jakks still, but their best work was from the neck up, and even then they had their failures on that like any other line, Mattel included.

I can see the argument for preferring bigger exaggerated proportions on your figures, sure. But Jakks did that poorly. The anatomy is absolutely terrible, especially on the torso they used on guys like Jericho as well as many others. If you want to see well sculpted muscles on an exaggerated physique then look no further than the Masters of the Universe Classics line. They are tremendously ripped but the muscles look real. Jakks sculptors look like they guessed at what muscles look like. The two exceptions in the ruthless line were the two torsos they added to the end for Orton/Cena etc. And the Batista torso. Those are pretty realistic. But then they took giant leaps backwards from that with the awful anatomy of the deluxe figures.

I side with wanting slimmer figures that look more realistic but that's my two cents.

And for what it's worth, I still have a special place in my heart for Jakks and will still always love them.

My main issue with Jakks was always the scale. Mattel is certainly better with that. Jakks has Mattel beat with the number of classics they did, and I wish Mattel would go after some people instead of just going with WWE contracts. Imagine Mattel making a Bruiser Brody and an Abdullah the Butcher lile Jakks did....

The Jakks bodies were better...? Seriously? And what about the scaling? Were you fine with Paul Bearer towering over The Undertaker? (to name one example).

And the Mattel Ric Flair head is better than the constant flow of Jakks "Wooooo!" heads. Just saying...

I'd say your in the minority. Especially when posting this to the Mattel board. Your argument is extremely subjective and really it comes down to preference. To me, it's really not close. Mattel has knocked out of the park on so many of their designs that I doubt many people actually want to see Jakks get the contract back. Plus it'll be at least another 5 years before Mattel has anything to worry about contract wise sand I couldn't be happier with the work Mattel does.

Jakks were great for their time, which a lot of people seem to forget or deny, but that time has clearly passed.

Jakks beats Mattel in range of roster. I also believe they did a better job of fan interaction (Jeremy is/was the man back in the day - he was the boss so he could MoSTLY answer the question) While MDT only chimes in rarely on this board. I also think they let too much stuff leak. And I find the interviews to be a little bit too much "I want to, but bosses tell me what I can and can't do". I want the boss to answer the question!
When it comes to product though. Mattel is better, have u actually seen Elitle figures, they are simply stunning.
I do miss classic superstars, sadly it had its run(still the greatest wrestling line ever created), but I disagree with u. Mattels product is simply better, and I believe even Jakks would admit this, while Mattel would tell u Jakks did a roster of superstars they can only dream of.
