Why do so many people want him gone? Yes he's stale but he's the WWE's biggest money maker, if he goes there is a good chance there will be more cuts and some of your favourite wrestlers will be gone...

Whether you like Cena or not, he's a draw. And he's about the only one that WWE has. Without him? All of their indy darlings would be unemployed.

The WWE will be fine. They were fine when Hogan left, fine when Rock and Austin left, fine when Brock left, the WWE will always be fine. They are a staple of american entertainment. And they have no competition now unlike back then people like wrestling. The company has nothing to worry about other then a short down period of income. Then they'll pick themselves up and dust themselves off just like they always do. if there's such a thing as blind faith, this is it. not saying i completely agree or disagree, but it's bollocks to suggest that the wwe is an omnipotent business. anything can crash. as for the title thread, i'd like to see john cena pack up and leave as much as the next guy, but as many others suggested it simply is not a viable option for the company. hopefully they'll take reigns on a different route as a top babyface, more of a badass hopefully, but with the mass appeal they succeeded in with cena, i can see them having him as tame as tame can be eventually as well.

I think his staleness is holding the product back and keeping other talented guys down. He's the WWE's safety blanket. They obviously have no idea what to do with the title or how to build stars - they build a guy up and then lose interest after a few months and push him back down again. Cena stays on top because he's the ultimate company guy and there is no buzz about pro wrestling at all.

Cena leaving would force WWE to actually invest in different guys. He will leave in time. Cannot wrestle forever.

If he leaves I see the WWE in a "New Generation" situation where we don't have a #1 guy, but a bunch of really good #2 guys. NG had Bret, Shawn, Razor, Diesel, etc. who were steps behind Hogan's level but, all together, could keep the company up. This generation would have the likes of Bryan, Reigns, Cesaro, Wyatt, etc. all behind Cena but together could keep us afloat. That is if, and that's a massive if, Cena decides to walk away. I don't see him going to Hollywood for another decade, once he knows he's 100% done with wrestling.

I'd almost rather he didn't walk away in this way because it'd be a big celebratory nightmare every time he decides to come back like The Rock and dare I say, even worse than it usually is in terms of kissing his feet. No thanks.

Creatively they are stifled and afraid, yet the status quo has them losing money, cutting their budget and releasing talent. More people used to watch wrestling than watch now. Maybe if they shake off the staleness more would again.
