Gustafsson injured... Jones Vs Cormier set for UFC 178!

I hate that for Gus because of the role he was on and the chances I thought he had in the rematch (predicted him winning by 4th round TKO). That being said I love that Cormier is getting his shot to back up the hype and talk that has surrounded this matchup since announncing the drop. I do bekieve Cormier has the best chance to beat Jones and convincingly because his wrestling is better than Jones. Unlike most of Jones previous opponents with strong wrestling (Hammil, Evans, Sonnen, Teixeria), Cormier actually uses his wrestling the way it is supposed to be used. That advantage alone means Jones will have to be on his bicycle the whole fight. I love Cormier's chances and think that he will stop Jon Jones to won the title.

This fight is going to be VERY interesting. Cormier is undefeated and has looked impressive thus far. Just what he did to Hendo still has me amazed. This will NOT be an easy fight for Bones, that's for sure. I think Cormier might have his number in this one. I think Cormier will walk away with the belt.

Yeah I just watched it on MMAJunkie. This is what happens when there is true animosity. They'll need to have more people surrounding Jones and Cormier up until the fight at any media commitments.

This injury isn't going to do JBJ any favors with his adoring public.

I was feeling pretty comfortable in the idea of Cormier taking Jones to the ground and the fight kind of taking on a life of its own from there. Pushing the fight back may play into Cormier's training schedule with his weight cut. I guess we'll see. I tend to think Cormier is the first guy Jones will face where having the longer reach may be relatively meaningless. Guy can get inside long punches, has a granite chin, and is a world class wrestler. If Jones is going to win, I think he is going to need to go the distance and just out strike him. I would be blown away if Jones can stay on his feet for five rounds against Cormier. That dudes a ing beast man and I think he's going to assert his strength on Jones.

Damn shame this got pushed back.

and a torn mensicus is no joke... just ask NFL players. boy will his knee be gingerly for that fight..he may need surgery , for some reason i see this fight being canceled ..
