I'm 30 and from PH. I've been a member here before but stopped posting since Jakks. I never stop collecting and have some Mattel figures which are mostly classics characters. I decided to get back here in the forum because of the recent Mattel releases and upcoming figures. It's just crazy! Thank you MDT! I'm back! First post by the way on this new account. Thanks mods!

I'm 27, in 1996 me and my brother were at the toys isle at Wal-Mart and saw BCA Series 1 and were in shock. My mom bought 2 of them and put the rest on layaway, which was really cool of her, and I was hooked. Any spare money I had always went to BCAs and that's all I did all day was play with my figures from the time I got home from school to the time I had to go to bed. I made a friend who also collected and everyday after school and on the weekends we'd go to each other's house to play. That friend gave me all of his Hasbro's and that became my introduction to Hasbro's. I grew out of them with the introduction of the TTL. I got back into wrestling in 2006 and decided to recollect all my old BCA's MOC, which I'm still working on by the way. Never really got into any other type of Jakks but if I saw one I liked I'd pick it up, the same went for Mattel's (I still regret not picking up Elite 7 when I saw them at retail, I thought if I changed my mind I could always go back for them, man was I wrong). When I saw the pictures of Elite 28 after they were announced I was in awe. I started looking at all the previous Mattel's online and on this forum and now I'm hooked. I'm very selective over who I collect because money is really tight for me and Mattel hasn't made that part of my life any easier lol.

I'm 31 and been collecting since 2011. I moved to a new city in the fall of '11 for my wife's career and didn't have a job over the winter. I'm a golf pro so my career is seasonal, even though I still work over the winter. I just didn;t have anything lined up until Spring of 2012. So I was bored. It started with me selling all my Hasbros' from when I was a kid. I always collected sports memorabilia and thought a couple figs of my favorites, Rock, Mr Perfect, etc, would look good on my shelves. Well all I really knew was Jakks. It's what my brother had growing up. I'd always stop in the aisle just to look at them if I was shopping at TRU, Walmart, Target, etc. I always loved action figures and was curious as to what they were doing these days. I always saw Legends at Kroger and stuff. As a matter of fact I remember a L5 Macho shelfwarming forever.
Well it's 2011 and I'm hooked on wrestling again. Thanks mostly to the return of the Rock to host mania. I didn't watch from 2005 to 2010. But my friends and I would get together and watch Rumble and mania no matter what during those years.
I joined this board in Oct 2012 and my hobby/addiction took off. Just before that is when I discovered Mattel had the license since 2010. I bought E16 Diesel at Meijer, and 20-0 Taker at TRU my first day on this board.....and the rest is history. My wife is pretty supportive and thinks its pretty cool. Mainly because I keep my displays very classy and neat. She buys figs all the time. Some people bust chops but it ends there. I'm slowly allowing some friends know about it. But since I live in another state now, not all my close friends have seen my room if they haven't visited. I'm a grown adult now and it wouldn't affect me like it would've in say, high school. I got bigger things to worry about and don't care what people think. Because if you stop and think about it for a second......it's a pretty adult hobby.

I'm almost 42 years old and too old to be collecting but whatever! I started with LJNs in the 80s and a couple of Remcos. Fast forward to The Jakks era. I never collected them but was always interested but never purchased them. I almost pulled the trigger on getting the WM2 ring when I saw it at TRU though!
When Mattels came out, my son was interested in them so I purchased a few for him. He eventually wanted a ring but I just hated the ones that were available due to being so small so I decided to build him one. After many versions, I thought that down the road I could possible make and sell custom rings for people. I am almost there and you can see them at "Custom Wrestling Rings" on Facebook (shameless plug).
Anyway, when WM30 Brett Hart came out I became interested in collecting again and purchased him, WM30 Shawn Michaels, Elite 26 Warrior, and Elite 26 Road Dogg. I'm a Flashback and Legends guy and want Ric Flair and Ted DiBiase next!

I'm 27. I've been collecting since 1997 with a break from 2002-2012. I had a very strong collection of 200+ figures that I paid for with a paper route + every birthday/christmas present for 5 years. Having got back into this last year, I try to limit myself to 1 figure per week but I gotta catch up, you know? That Elite 4 Finlay is too rad to pass up.
Fun fact: To this day, I've never owned a Kevin Nash or Scott Hall figure despite them being two of my absolute favorites. I missed the BCA, hated WCW Figures and didn't get back into it in time to pick up the Elite Diesel/Nash.
Favorite BCA Figures: The Godwinns and Billy Gunn Least Favorite BCA Figure: Savio Vega (WTH is with those legs?) Favorite ECW Figure: Shane Douglas Least Favorite ECW Figure: Tommy Dreamer Favorite Mattel Basic: Superstar Entrances Cody Rhodes Favorite Mattel Elite: Antonio Cesaro

I'm Stephen Ryan from Colorado, and I'm father of a beautiful seven year old daughter and two year old son. I am 26 and I have ALWAYS been a wrestling fan and collector. I started collecting Mattel when they first took over the license in 2010. Took a pretty good break from 2011 up to March of 2014 and have consistently managed to purchase figures every week. I don't tell anyone that I collect unless they ask but I don't keep it a secret either. It's what I love to do. I have a job doing low voltage electricity and that's how I support my habit ha ha. I make pretty decent money.

I'm 34 and from Ireland.......we started to see the wonders of the WWF here in late 87/88 and I got into it in early 1989 when my Da got the cable channel Sky that carried a large amount of WWF programming.
I used to see the Hasbro WWF figs on TV all the time and wanted them....but alas they weren't at retail here yet. My Auntie Anna(who lives in the Bronx NY)came home in Summer 1990 for a holiday and I got Hogan, Savage, Jake, Rude, Warrior & Ax from series 1......man I was over the moon and a wrestling figure nut from there on out. WWF Hasbro would arrive here later that year and I would of course go nuts collecting them over the next few years playing out my favourite scenarios on top of my stairs in my Hasbro and Galoob wrestling rings.
I booked a better WCW Invasion when I was 13 with Hasbro Luger, Flair, Sid, Steiners & Gonzales than Vince did in 2001.
ah the memories......

Was just getting Into wrestling around late 2000. Mostly due to the N64 games at my cousins house, and then id always go to a friends house and HAD to play with the wrestlers lol. I remember one night me him and my brother were going out to dinner and we were all allowed to bring one wrestler. I picked the TTL HHH. Been hooked ever since
I did have a big falling out with action figures though between 2007-11 between Jakks DA flooding everywhere making me sick (still proud to say Ive never owned a DA ) then jakks losing the rights and Mattel "the Barbie hot wheel company" got them and started putting out these figures with ridiculously over exaggerated hair colors (the initial HHHs and HBKs make me sick)
I didn't want to start a whole collection over and I figured I was done with wrestling figures for life
Then I somehow got Into Mattel. My first buy was a Big Show/Edge battle pack from RSC, then new guys started coming out so I had to get ppl like sheamus, Miz, Swagger, etc. Eventually I moved to boston on short notice and had to leave my entire figure collecton behind in NJ.
So I started over brand new. Went to the walgreens down the street one day and bought the only Mattel figures they had. A basic purple Cena and the WM XX blue Orton. I became hooked. I then had to buy everyone I saw. Now I'm a full fledged COLLECTOR and have maybe 2-3x the amount of Mattels that I ever had Jakks. Thank you Mattel for allowing me to continue this hobby into my adult life. And not be embarrassed about it. How could anyone deny the work they've done as of late. I sometimes find myself staring at their figures in awe. I LOVE YOU MATTEL-WWE!

23. Loved wrestling since I can remember. My favorite wrestler is Undertaker - head and shoulders above anyone else. Sting would be after Taker. I especially love Crow Sting. He drew me to WCW for awhile over WWF at that time. I love character based wrestling when the performers are good workers. Figure wise, I had toys that were my brothers before I started getting my own. Stopped playing with them at about 11. Elimination Chamber 2010 Taker got me into Mattel figures. Elite 8 Taker amd EG Taker got me into collecting. Bought is a surplus periodically up until about series 23 and that's when I started buying what I wanted from each Elite wave. Used to only collect loose but I've recently really gotten into MOC

I am 25 and i am from indiana. I have been a life long wrestling fan and i have collected wrestling figures as long as i can remember. I sold off my first collection when i was in high school to pay for football training camp that my coach said i had to attend. Well i never played that season and it only got worse from there. After i graduated from high school i got back into collecting and never looked back. I have been told to grow up and stop collecting but i do what i want and don't care what others think. I have over 1400 wrestling videos and alot of loose an moc figures.

20, I'll be 21 in November. I've always liked wrestling figures. I remember being like 6 maybe and my friend Phil had Sting, Goldberg, Macho Man, and I think DDP, WCW figures obviously. His neighbor had like every BCA figure imaginable. So I got into it, got a few WCW guys, then TTL came out. I remember I got two 2-packs, Undertaker and Kane, and HHH and X Pac. Collected TTL's and Finishing Move series, had tons of backstage sets, rings, entrances. Obviously I played with them.
I mainly collected Ruthless Aggression style figures. Still played with them, but then started pic fedding and customizing. Which I still do on occasion, but for a while I totally stopped. Recently like a year or two ago I got back into it, still collect Ruthless Aggression and the Classic line, I do own a few Mattels now though. I still like to play with them, though I dont get a chance to much these days. Luckily I have a house with super low rent and not too many bills each month, I make more money than I know what to do with so I just buy figures off eBay a lot these days. There is an awesome toy store about an hour from my house that has loose Jakks figures for like $3, bins of them, and I'm buddies with the owner. So I'll take a trip up there every few months and buy like $100 worth of figures. Some just for parts for customs, but a lot of the time I'll get great scores. Last time I scooped up some exclusive Shawn Michaels, a really good Rock figure, bret Hart, Harley Race, along with a ton more. I sort through the bins, some of the figures are pretty beat up, but I always get the ones that are near mint.
Basically I'm a 20 year old kid that draws on people for a living and likes to play with wrestling toys.

im 15 about to be 16 in October and I live in Raleigh/Garner,NC. I started watching WWE around 2009 when my friends got be into it and started collecting figs around 2010 as well as trading cards. I am a huge diva collector and I only buy rare superstars, and don't really have a whole bunch of fig's. I can remember my first figures I got (during Christmas) was Elite Kofi Kingston, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Kelly Kelly (which was hilarious because my sister had to run and get it before some old lady got it XD) I use my allowences which is 30 dollars a week and I don't really have a lot of figures mostly because nobody really buys figs at my stores and walmarts, kmarts, and targets don't really restock but I normally save up my money and buy pre-paid cards like visa and buy off ringside lol
