Depends when it is; but usually if it's at night I consider that an early night and catch up on sleep.

Use my laptop until it dies, sit outside and watch the storm. Smoke a lot more than usual. I also have like 6 mobile power banks so my phone doesn't die when I go to music festivals n' shit, so I never have to worry about my battery dying on me. Oh, I'm too tech reliant.

Since the electrical system in my house is crap, I usually panic like a mother er, because I don't know whether it'll actually come back on. Outside of that, I'll usually just go out, or listen to GN'R for hours on end.

We had pretty bad storms over here just recently which lead to our power being cut. It was out for around 15 hours, mostly of it occurred during the night but at the time it felt like days. -Fired up the BBQ. -Angry Birds. -Went for a drive (which was highly advised against) to check for any damage caused. -And making a lot of shadows on the roof in the candle light with my daughter. None of those last too long, I think we called it a night around 8pm. Also, three Axl signatures in a row

I'd probably pick up my acoustic guitar and jam a little something.

I freaked out last time it happened because it was pitch black (besides my phone).
Thankfully it was only out for like 10 minutes otherwise Idk what I would have done..
I guess if it was really out for a long time I could go to a relative or friend's house but I'm just going to pray it never happens.

If its at night I'll light a candle in every room so I can see and more than likely go to sleep or be on my phone but if its in the day I'll go find something to do outside the house

The last few times the power went out was during Raw, and in the middle of the final mission on GTA V. Needless to say I was very upset. I usually just read or something when it goes out.

Power outages don't bother my dad at all. He just relaxes with some candles set out. I, on the other hand, hate them. I can't sleep through them, I get horribly bored, and honestly, I grew up in the 2000's. Technology is a big part of my life. I always try to talk my dad into getting one of those big box chargeable generators, but they are pretty costly and he thinks it's a big waste of money.

Amish stuff. Sew quilts, churn butter, make cheese and pies. Is that what the kids today call it *nudge nudge wink wink* As for me, break out the candles or battery lamp and reread my Walking Dead collection. A power outage is the perfect time to get creeped out while reading a zombie apocalypse story.

I angrily call LIPA, who have a lawful monopoly over power on Long Island. Then I go through the 5 stages of grief. I was lucky that during hurricane Sandy I didn't lose my power while the people 10 min away from me lost it for a week. When I lost power due to Sandy, I knew it was going to happen about an hour prior. After I saw what happened to Far Rockaway and the Rockaway Peninsula, I was in holy **** mode. I won't ever forget riding the shuttle buses from Howard Beach to Far Rockaway. When I lost power due to the Northeast Blackout of 2003, I just went on with my business. I listened to 110 WINS, took short walks, cook, eat, and just killed time till power was restored. When I lost power due to Hurricane Sandy, I just used my laptop, copyrighted my photos, listened to music, and just deal with the fact I lost power. During that time, I saw a bunch of intellectually- disabled hipsters learning how to use a payphone. I eventually stood at my uncle's house for three nights. When power was restored to my area, I began to place things back in my room. A few days after both incidents, I acted like nothing happened. I lost power for a week and a half after Sandy, that sucked. I would bring my phone with me to work and charge it there and use it until it died once I got home and repeated the cycle every day. You never realize how dependent we are on technology until the power goes out, it's kind of scary.
