Well we are getting Sting, Razor Ramon, and Hulk Hogan all 3 big names and they will add historical value to the line. But who else could add even more value.
So far Mattel has given us the following:
Bruno Sammartino Andre the Giant Hulk Hogan "Macho Man" Randy Savage The Ultimate Warrior "Nature Boy" Ric Flair "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat "HBK" Shawn Michaels Bret "the Hitman" Hart Diesel Razor Ramon "Stone Cold" Steve Austin The Rock Triple H The Undertaker Brock Lesnar John Cena CM Punk Randy Orton
all major stars of their respective eras... but who else could add sizzle into an already impressive line
I say Mattel needs to push the limit and take chances on guys like Gorgeous George and Lou Thesz men who earned a figure and men who paved the way for the mentioned above.
Also Mattel could make history in being the first line to make all of the WWE Heavyweight Champions; JAKKS came close but Mattel can get this done. Picture having "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers, "The Russian Nightmare" Ivan Koloff, Pedro Morales, "Superstar" Billy Graham, Stan "the Man" Stasiak alongside your championship section of your collection it would look amazing.
So should Mattel roll the dice and make older stars or slowly debut them to the masses. Hopefully at the SDCC 2015 I'll see my Gorgeous George staring at me through the protective case.

I think Billy Graham is a very very viable figure out of all of those listed. Gorgeous George would be incredible, too. I'll go ahead and add Barry Windham to that list so we have the original Four Horsemen.

If Mattel makes a gorgeous george I'll tape myself running around naked. Don't bother quoting me on this

Bruno was a pretty special case because 1. he signed a merchandising contract and 2. he went into the Hall of Fame while the line was active. I don't see Mattel going out of the way to work out deals with any of those guys, so unless WWE works one out with them/their estate, it ain't going to happen.

"Superstar" is a maybe, but the other ones are too far off. If Mattel says they find it hard to market and sell 80's stars besides Hogan, Warrior and Savage, which is why Flashbacks are shortpacked, imagine 70's stars that would only appeal to a smaller niche fanbase. They won't risk it.

The only way Mattel could sell any of these guys is if they gave them accessories like the attitude era belt and maybe include a full announcer's table or something. And even then people would just steal the accessories

If you say Billy Graham, then toss in Jesse the Body. I think if they do decide to go with other figures in older eras, they will have had to had a great gimmick, no matter if they were champ or not. Have we got an elite Piper? Legends BP and Entrance great. ROWDY ROWDY PIPER

I love the history of wrestling more than most people, but I'd rather get Hercules and Adrian Adonis than everyone you named.

I won't buy any 70's figs. I would definitely get a "superstar" billy graham fig. I passed on Bruno. I would love more 80's wrestlers and managers however

I would LOVE if they made Ivan and Nikita Koloff, Baron Von Rashcke, Bruiser Brody, Abdullah the Butcher, and finally released Magnum TA.

Backlund and Graham, while probably still longshots, have the best chances of happening from the classic WWWF Champion era. Even then, Backlund would probably have a better shot than Graham as i believe hes no longer under any type of Legends deal with Vince. But of course, there are plenty 80s/90s guys left to cull from. I'd personally love to see a Backlund or a Harley Race (King or otherwise), but i dont know how well they would sell to others on here. We all have preferences that differ on various guys getting made over others, but i think most of us could agree that as for big time main eventers that are still missing, Goldberg, Sid, in a different capacity the Heenans and Jimmy Harts are probably up there on the list pretty high now. Of course theres still some guys that just need to be made no matter their placement on the card. Having only half the original Hart Foundation is probably the best example of that. There needs to be an Anvil at some point.

As cool as a Gorgeous George, George Hackenschmidt, and Frank Gotch figures would be I don't think they would sell the best in todays market.

I've been pushing hard to complete the WWE champ roster for a while. It's one of the big reasons I keep collecting, in hopes if having a complete collection.
Best case scenario I could see for guys like Koloff or Rogers would be as exclusive basics or in two packs with better known WWE champs.
On the plus side, they wouldn't need much work put into them, just new heads on plain bodies.
C'mon Mattel, you're so close:
Buddy Rogers Stan Stasiak Ivan Koloff Pedro Morales Billy Graham Bob Backlund Sid Kurt Angle Jeff Hardy

I like to take these pictures every now and then after we get someone new, but I haven't taken one since we got RVD. I'll probably wait until Hulk comes out until I take another.
