Jason's mother (Mrs. Voorhees) was the killer in the first Friday the 13th, he didn't show up til the second one. Christ. Its been a while. Friday the 13th is my least favorite horror series so I'm not surprised I forgot.... Friday the 13th is second to my all-time favorite horror series - Halloween. I can only watch the first four Friday the 13ths as well as the remake from 2009 before they got incredibly stupid (fake Jason, brought back to life with lightning, battle with a telekinetic teenager, takes Manhattan, goes to Hell, goes to space)...I liked Freddy vs. Jason though.

F13 3 and 4 Jason X (for craps and giggles) Freddy vs. Jason F13 2009 Those are the only ones I can watch. Halloween is my favorite series as well. I wouldn't be surprised if I watch one of those a week.

There are two good documentaries you should check out. The Man That Would be Polka King which is about Jan Lewan, the polka king from Hazleton, PA who ran a Ponzi scheme and ripped off many people in different states. Another good documentary is Kids For Cash which is about two corrupt PA judges in Luzerne County who sent kids to a for profit detention center while getting kickbacks

Thanks for the suggestions. Even though I have heard of the events before, it will be hard to watch the latter; seeing society hurt one another like that is very depressing. VPV

VPV My mom couldn't watch Kids For Cash because she thought it was too depressing

Is there anyone that would like to discuss Card Subject To Change, Hardcore Forever, The Backyard, or another wrestling doc? I figured they would be heavy points of interests for folks.

To be honest I only get into docs about:
Wrestling Movies I'm a fan of Abnormal Crimes Heinous Crimes Unsolved Crimes Terrorism
I basically got into docs because horror movies suck and don't scare me anymore. Then I watched Paradise Lost and got the same feeling I used to get from horror movies and that was that.
I really enjoyed the documentary on HBO about capturing Bin Laden. I believe it was called Manhunt.

Also check out The Imposter, and A Nightmare in Las Cruces; both brilliant and confounding. @3nwpro I never did check out American Grindhouse. I know it would be fresh for people that like the history behind Grindhouse, and such. There are approx. 3 more I can think of along the same topic, that may interest you. People V Lucas was quite good. Watching those kids wait for ep 1 was so great. Jedi Junkies was a nice pair to it. VPV

This may sound odd but I'm not quite sure how to put it. I just get this weird thrill from docs about murders and things like that. It gives me a rush and puts a damper of fear in me that I honestly enjoy. I feel for the victims and think the crimes are horrible but I love that feeling of being scared and looking out of my windows when I get up to get a drink at night lol. Like I said I basically used docs to fill the void of not being scared by horror movies anymore. Don't judge me I'll definitely check out the ones you recommended if I can find them anywhere.

Ps. Any parkour, or the Paul Walker flick "Brick Mansions", out there should check out District B13 and District 13-Ultimatum. Enjoy. VPV

VPV Yes, the French parkour films I saw - liked the first one moreso though. That's the kind of Asian cinema I'm talking about, as well as wushu films from China, and assorted J-horror films from Japan; Kairo and Ring, as well as Ju-On: The Grudge. Nicely done VPV

Not a bio but Truman Capote's In Cold Blood is kind of fits this. I could go on and on but that just came to mind first. There are some good bios on other non-fiction crimes and stuff- some in particular I'd recommend if I had more time on my hands, but you can't go wrong with the Capote novel...
