WFWF World Heavyweight Championship Fatal Four Way
Trace Demon vs. Jayson Garrett vs. Drakz vs. Dex
Well, well, well what do we have here? For weeks the four men in this match have had separate problems; the current champion Dex has been fending off Trace Demon and his Final Revolutionaries whilst Drakz has been trying to teach Jayson Garrett a lesson in humility. Both feuds came to a head last week at Up the Garden Path with Trace Demon high tailing it with Dex's belt and Drakz defeating Garrett in extra time to earn himself a spot in this main event.
Now two problems have become one as all four men clash over the grandest prize in the business, the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship.
Trace Demon is looking for retribution having lost the title without having ever been pinned. He feels if Shawn Malakai were to vacate the belt as he did then surely it should fall back to him, as oppose to the up and comer Dex. This combined with what he feels are terrible business decisions has prompted the start of this revolution against Lila Sleater and anyone who stands with her. The King of Demons wants to remove Sleater from her position of authority and the best way to do that is to go right through the current Heavyweight Champion.
Dex on the other hand feels he is more than capable of growing into the position of champ, and now he's backed by The Sovereignty he wants to put an end to Trace Demon's talk and prove that he really is champion material. This will be his first title defence and with the addition of two more men the odds are stacking against him. Questions are starting to arise as to wether Lila Sleater has Dex's best interests at heart. Needless to say a victory here, under these conditions, will surely cement him in the history books as the fastest rising champion of our generation.
He's regaled as one of the best there's ever been but it's been nearly 6 years since Drakz has held the top prize in the WFWF. After his earth shaking encounter with Phillip Schneider at Superbrawl he thought it was about time he changed that fact and demanded a title shot. He was however denied and so he set about trying to school the rest of the roster to pass the time. This has lead to some fantastic matches along the way with Joshua Dean, Cameron Stone and most recently his main point of focus, Jayson Garrett. Now in what can only be described as a back up plan by Lila Sleater his original request has been granted and he finds himself fighting for gold once again.
The piece that doesn't fit quite as comfortably into all of this is a golden one. Last week Jayson Garrett came very close to defeating Drakz on a number of occasions and, whilst Garrett took Drakz into extra time, he couldn't quite score a victory. Drakz feels he deserved another chance though but he wasn't going to give up on a title shot to do so. Now Garrett finds himself catapulted into the championship match as well and it's not a territory he's used to. Will The Golden Boy shock the world and walk out not just with the victory he wanted over Drakz, but also as the World Heavyweight Champion? This is his time to shine.
Four men.
One Championship Belt.
One fall to a finish.
I Respect You!
Joshua Dean vs. Phillip Schneider
This match has really got the fans talking ever since it was announced. Joshua Dean took it upon himself to demand an explanation for Phillip Schneider's lack of sportsmanship after his match with Drakz at Superbrawl. Refusing a hand shake after such a battle seemingly is not the way Dean does business and he feels Schneider needs to be taught about respect. Dean, since starting this mission has taken on Drakz himself and the two men learned a lot about one another, whilst Schneider has been awol for the most part since Superbrawl. These two men did in fact have a match of sorts only a few weeks ago, however Dean had no idea the man behind the Dead Idol mask was in fact Schneider. Since then Schneider has had Percy talk on his behalf, infuriating Dean, and then going as far as interfering in Joshua Dean's match with close friend Dave Demento, using fire and knives as weapons and generally being Phillip Schneider.
Whilst Dean might be a man of honour he is willing to put all of that on the line to get Schneider to say three simple words; I Respect You. This match is no holds barred and the referee won't stop it until one of these men utters that statement. Dean has taken a big risk, coming into The King of Gore's territory, but it only goes to show just how much sportsmanship, class and integrity really mean to him.
There will be blood.
WFWF International Championship Steel Cage Match
Dave Demento vs. Joe Bishop
The future is bright for young Joe Bishop. Once heralded as a future World Heavyweight Champion he has found his career once more taking an upturn thanks to a newly formed alliance with Trace Demon and Jason Anders. As part of The Final Revolution Joe Bishop is looking to tear away everything that they deem unfit to be part of the WFWF. That includes a certain Dave Demento, who The Final Revolution claim was brought back simply to try and stop them from doing what has to be done. Demento, who has had a similar career trajectory to Joe Bishop in many ways, is looking to prove that he still has it in him to be a top star in the WFWF and the first step on that path is to become the WFWF International Champion. And with The Final Revolution blocked by a fifteen foot steel cage there is no better chance than now. In a match where the future of the company battles it out the question remains, will Demento halt the march before it can really begin, or is the revolution just getting started?
Can the Dragon be Slain?
Kyle Matthews vs. Tugarin Zmey
When DMK brought his Dragon to the WFWF it was clear to everyone that there would be few who could stop such a beast of a man. Fast forward to the present and that has been proven correct as Tugarin Zmey has yet to be pinned or submitted in the middle of a WFWF ring despite some tough opposition. Kyle Matthews, another of WFWF’s rising stars, seeks to make a name for himself by doing exactly that. Matthews has refused to back down despite the size, strength and fear factor of the Dragon and this has clearly infuriated DMK, the pint sized man of malice, who will undoubtedly be a factor heading into this match. Can Kyle Matthews be the first man to slay the dragon or will the midget managed monster cruise through another competitor on his way to the very top of the WFWF?
WFWF National Championship Match
Shapiro vs. Nikki Dean vs. Justin Tyger
Following the hellacious war between Phillip Schneider and Drakz the WFWF National Championship was declared vacant, and Drakz announced a tournament set up to crown the new champion. Knowing that the list of former World Champions who started out with the National title is a long one means that everybody wanted a shot at the gold but now we’re left with only three. Nikki Dean, despite receiving a bye to the finals, has proved herself to be a rising star while Shapiro, who lost to Dean in the first round, got here by defeating three other competitors in a wild card match. Both of their experience fails in comparison to Justin Tyger, the international veteran who after just a short time in the WFWF has already booked himself a chance to win gold. These three all have the chance to gain their first title in the WFWF and know a win here will put their name on the lips of every single member of the WFWF crowd. Don’t choke rooks.
Velocity Grrl vs. Giant!
Penny Shannon vs. Devilkiller
The history between Penny Shannon and Devilkiller is… well, to say the least it’s pretty short, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t heated because it sure as hell is. What, it’s the WFWF, are you surprised? Devilkiller has gone on the record and blamed the “Velocity Grrrl” for his poor performance last week, which when you think about it is really nobody’s fault but his own. Of course you can’t tell a face painted giant that and expect him to act rationally. The shots have already been fired and not one to back down Penny Shannon has called him out and demanded an official match and, being a fan of watching small women beat the hell out of big men, Lila Sleater has granted her the match. Grab a snack and sit your ass down, because this ought to be a good one!
Opening the Show
Daniel Kirkbride vs. Gabriel Black
Opening the show is a young man who has turned a lot of heads in the last couple of weeks by defeating both Penny Shannon and Nikki Dean. You can take your sexist remarks elsewhere because those two women hit hard and keep on hitting, yet still Kirkbride was able to come out the victor. A relative newbie to the business, especially here in the WFWF, Kirkbride pops his Pay Per View cherry taking on a man who, whilst new to this company, has been running the independent circuits for over 20 years. His tenure is almost as old as his opponent but Gabriel Black is far from done yet. With the frame of a mountain and all of the wiles and cunning that come with experience you have to believe Gabriel Black could well be the man to put a stop to Daniel Kirkbride's momentum before it really gets going.
Exclusively on the WFWF.COM Battle at the Garden Pre-Show!
National Championship Number One Contender Eliminator
Ante Whitner vs. Axel Thornstowe vs. Justin North
The Battle at the Garden Pre-Show looks to set the tone for the rest of the evening with a match to decide who will face our newly crowned National Champion on the following show. Ante Whitner won his debut match last week in impressive form. Can he repeat that and go on to fight for his first taste of gold within 3 matches? Justin North and Axel Thornstowe are yet to prove themselves here in the WFWF but what better way than on the precursor to one of the biggest cards the WFWF has ever put together?
Ladies and gentlemen this warm up match is going to be red hot.
