WWE 2014 A New Attitude
World Wrestling Entertainment has become stagnant. The launch of the WWE network was nowhere near as successful as had been hoped, the midcard is in a state of disarray and numerous talents are being wasted. But things can be better. NXT is a beacon with plenty of impressive talent and more being brought in every week. The WWE roster is loaded with potential and the stage to let it shine. WWE can be great again, it just needs one thing.
A whole new attitude.

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW 21st July 2014
- Monday Night RAW kicks off with a video package highlighting the events of Battleground, focusing heavily on the main event that saw John Cena successfully defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and Kane. The video ends with a graphic that reveals that tonight, Triple H reveals “plan C”.
- The familiar theme of The Game Triple H kicks off RAW properly as the COO hits the ring. He talks about the events of Battleground, revealing that John Cena isn’t in the building tonight, joking that he’s probably off “recording some piece of crap rap album”. He says this is why John Cena can’t be the face of the WWE anymore, his moment has passed and his mind isn’t in the game anymore. He talks about plan A and plan B failing last night and seems set to announce plan C when he’s interrupted by Randy Orton. Orton tells Triple H that he doesn’t need a plan C when plan A, the most effective plan, is standing right in the centre of the ring with them. Triple H says he doesn’t see anyone fitting that description, telling Orton that he had his chance and that until he can prove himself again that he won’t be getting another one. Orton is about to argue when another familiar theme hits and the crowd go crazy… Roman Reigns is here.
Reigns hits the ring showing no fear of the two Authority members standing already in it. Roman snatches the microphone out of Orton’s hand and makes it very clear that since he was the only one not pinned last night he still deserves a shot at the title. Reigns says that if he got Cena one on one then he’d be champion already. Orton gets in Reigns’ face but Triple H surprises everyone when he points out that at least when Roman Reigns says something, he usually backs it up. He tells Randy Orton that he’s had chance after chance and that maybe it’s somebody else’s turn, announcing that later tonight Roman Reigns will go one on one with Kane! The crowd pop and Triple H tells Reigns to “impress me” before directing a furious Randy Orton backstage leaving Roman Reigns in the ring, soaking up the adulation of the crowd.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- We head to the office of COO Triple H and catch the tail end of an argument between The Game and Randy Orton. Triple H offers Orton the same offer he gave Reigns – “impress me and maybe you’ll get another shot”. Orton storms out, passing Cesaro in the doorway. Triple H tells Cesaro that he’s tired of dealing with people’s problems tonight but Cesaro tells him he isn’t here with a problem, he’s here to solve one of Triple H’s. Cesaro offers to deal with Dean Ambrose later tonight, saying that once he takes out “that crazy American” then maybe he can deal with John Cena next. Triple H likes the sound of that and gives Cesaro his match, telling him “go out and there and impre- you know what, just kick his ass.” Cesaro says it’s done and heads out of the office as we return to ringside.
1.) The Uso’s Defeated Rybaxel when Jey Uso pinned Axel following the diving splash. A fast paced contest that saw The Uso’s continue their hot streak with a victory. There was a notable amount of support for Ryback during the contest and he seemed disappointed in Axel when he realized he’d lost the match for them.
- We get a graphic reminding us that later tonight Flo Rida will be performing live on Monday Night RAW!
- We go backstage where Flo Rida is talking with his entourage, probably about b*tches and ho’s. They’re interrupted by Heath Slater, the One Man Rock Band getting in Flo Rida’s face, asking him how dare he show his face at “his gig” after the last time. Flo Rida has absolutely no idea who Slater is and he just goes off on one, screaming “are you kidding me!” over and over much to the humorous delight of the crowd. Slater screams that he’s sick of being disrespected, he’s the real star around here and then storms out. Flo Rida looks shell shocked, simply joking that “the Wendy’s girl got crazy” as we cut away.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- We head to the backstage area where a single camera is pointed on Dean Ambrose, the Lunatic Fringe looking as crazed as ever. Ambrose promises that it doesn’t matter who The Authority send after him he’s going to run through them. Nobody can stop him getting his hands on Seth Rollins and once he does he’s going to squeeze so hard that those beady little traitorous eyes are going to pop right out of his head. He promises that as long as he’s around Seth will never get to cash in that Money in the Bank briefcase and if he gets his way he won’t even have a career left.
2.) Alicia Fox, Eva Marie & Rosa Mendez Defeated Nikki Bella when Alicia hit the scissors kick. Stephanie McMahon was on commentary to ‘assess’ the Diva’s division but this was clearly just another mugging set up by the principle owner of the WWE. Nikki didn’t stand a chance here and was quickly put down for the three.
- Following the match Alecia, Eva and Rosa quickly head to the back, satisfied with their handiwork. Stephanie is about to do the same having seen enough when Nikki, struggling all the while, rolls out of the ring and grabs a microphone. She gets right in Stephanie’s face screaming that she is sick of being punished for something that Brie didn’t even do. Nikki calls Stephanie a vindictive cow and tells her that she feels sorry for her daughter for having a mother like her. That’s a step too far for Stephanie and the principle owner delivers a slap for the ages! Nikki Bella looks shocked at first but then tells Stephanie that she’s going to be sorry she did that and throws the microphone right at her, Nikki walking off leaving Stephanie McMahon looking shell shocked at what just happened.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- We return to RAW and to a quick recap of what just went down with Stephanie McMahon and Nikki, Stephanie slapping Nikki and being promised that she was going to regret it.
- We head to the locker room of Nikki Bella who is shown speaking to someone on her phone. She’s clearly talking about Stephanie McMahon saying that she just crossed the line and she wants her to pay. She tells whoever she is speaking to to “draw the papers up” and asks if they can get them to her before the show ends. She seems pleased by the answer, hanging up with a smile as we’re left wondering what exactly does Nikki Bella have planned?
- Prior to our first hour main event we get a quick glimpse of a car backstage having just pulled up. Paul Heyman steps out of one side of the car and is seen talking to someone in the seat next to him. Heyman asks him if he’s ready for this and continues with “of course you’re ready, time for them to meet plan C”. Paul Heyman unveils plan C to the WWE Universe… tonight!
3.) Dean Ambrose Defeated Cesaro via disqualification when Seth Rollins interfered. This was possibly one of the best matches on RAW in recent months, Ambrose and Cesaro just going all out and absolutely wailing on each other inside the ring and out. Just when it looked like Dean was setting up for Dirty Deeds he was jumped from behind by Seth Rollins right in front of the referee, drawing the obvious disqualification.
- Seth Rollins begins beating down his former Shield teammate as Cesaro realizes what just happened. He doesn’t feel pleased as he gets to his feet but Rollins just shouts at him to get in on the beating, reminding him that Triple H wants impressing tonight and this is the way to do it. Cesaro nods… then grabs Rollins, throws him up into the air and knocks him clean out cold with a European Uppercut! The crowd go absolutely crazy as Cesaro hooks the legs and follows up with a ten rotation Cesaro Swing, Dean Ambrose watching on in glee! Once Cesaro is done he looks at Ambrose and simply leaves the ring, leaving the Lunatic Fringe to clock Rollins with Dirty Deeds and stand tall over his hated adversary as RAW heads to commercials.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- RAW returns to Chris Jericho hitting the ring to a big pop as we see a replay of his victory over Bray Wyatt at Battleground. Jericho plays up to the crowd for a bit in full on face mode before talking about how Wyatt gave him a hell of a fight but that there’s no topping the ayatollah of rock n’ rolla! Jericho goes on, saying he proved last night that you don’t need to be scared of the spam Wyatt Family, that they’re not monsters, just a bunch of guys who shouldn’t be allowed to dress themselves in the morning. He goes on mocking the Wyatt Family until the lights shut out and Bray Wyatt, flanked by Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, appear on the screen. Bray warns Chris that he should definitely be afraid of him because he’s both man and monster and Chris Jericho has awakened the true beast that lies beneath. Wyatt promises that Jericho’s hubris will not be tolerated and that he’s coming for him. Soon enough Chris Jericho will learn… that they’re here. The video ends with a painful blast of white noise before the lights come back on, Chris Jericho realizing that this fight is far from over.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- We return to the office of The Authority where Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are talking about Stephanie losing her temper with Nikki Bella earlier in the night, Triple H warning her that she’s got to control her temper. At that moment Nikki enters the room and Stephanie is immediately shouting at Triple H to get her out. Nikki assures them both that she’s leaving the arena, she just wanted to give them something before she goes. Nikki hands Stephanie an envelope and tells her that she’s filed workplace assault charges since Stephanie, the ‘principle owner’ slapped an employee. Nikki tells her that she’s going to take them for all their worth, even the entire company, and that there’s nothing they can do about it. Nikki leaves as Stephanie and Triple H are both speechless, as is much of the WWE Universe.
4.) Emma & Natalya Defeated AJ Lee & Paige when Emma pinned AJ with a rollup. An outstanding tag match in Diva’s terms with some great in ring action. AJ and Paige continued their ‘frenemy’ shtick up until the moment where Paige dropped off the apron and refused a tag, the distraction letting Emma roll AJ up for the surprise victory.
- AJ Lee kneels in the ring, shocked at suffering the pin but not at Paige’s deceit. Paige simply laughs on the outside of the ring as AJ rolls out of it and confronts her on the outside, demanding an explanation. She gets one, quickly. Paige nails her with a boot to the gut and immediately begins beating her down, throwing her into the steel steps, suplexing her onto the ring apron and finishing it off by delivering the Ram-Paige on the outside floor. The crowd are shocked at the brutality of the attack as Paige mocks an unconscious AJ by skipping around the ring as RAW cuts to a commercial.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- RAW returns to a video being recorded by a handheld camera outside of WWE headquarters. A familiar voice says that there’s a conspiracy inside the WWE, a conspiracy keeping the most entertaining man down and The Authority in charge. The voice says it’s okay because he’s going to reveal the conspiracy, one that goes right the way to the top. As the camera spins around he says it’s okay, because he’s got backup. The camera settles on the man recording – Brad Maddox is back, and he’s got a god damned handheld camera with him.
- We return to ringside as the new WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz hits the ring which is set up like a Hollywood celebration ceremony. He plays up the Hollywood act, making it seem like he has done the WWE a favour by winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship and adding some prestige back to it. The Miz makes it very clear what he thinks of the rest of the WWE roster claiming that they don’t walk the walk like he does and they certainly don’t talk the talk like he does. He’s the star, he’s the money maker, he’s the main attraction and now he’s got some gold back around his waist he’s going to make sure everybody knows it. He’s about to continue when he’s interrupted by some familiar music, that of the man he eliminated last to win the title last night – Dolph Ziggler.
Ziggler hits the ring and tells The Miz that it’s all well and good talking a big game but when it comes down to it The Miz hid outside the ring and took the cheap way out because that’s all he is. He isn’t a star, he’s a cheap copy and the fans want nothing more than to see the Intercontinental Championship around the waist of a man who really walks the walk, a man who every night he steps in the ring steals the show, Dolph Ziggler. The two go back and forth before a third interrupts them to a big pop – Bo Dallas. Bo tells the two that it’s great to see two men who bo-lieve in themselves so much but that they don’t have to argue, they’ve just got to settle their differences like men. Dolph thinks that’s a great idea, suggesting an Intercontinental Championship match for later tonight. The Miz, his ego bigger than ever, accepts the match and then goes to strike Dolph with the title only for Ziggler to duck underneath and dropkick him out of the ring. Dolph plays up to the fans while The Miz backs up the ramp, knowing his days as champion might be cut very short indeed. And all the while Bo Dallas stands at the top of the ramp with a big smile on his face.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- We get a replay of what just went down with The Miz, Dolph Ziggler and Bo Dallas, followed by a graphic that confirms that later tonight The Miz will defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler.
5.) Roman Reigns Defeated Kane via a spear. With Randy Orton on commentary Roman Reigns had something to prove here and he did in what was possibly his best singles match so far. The two big men really went it, throwing bombs and each other around the ring in a stiff hard hitting contest but with the crowd firmly behind him Reigns built up a head of momentum, first hitting Orton with a superman punch on the outside before delivering a vicious spear to Kane for the victory.
- The moment the bell rings Randy Orton has slid into the ring and is on Roman Reigns, taking him to the ground and unloading with right hands, Orton showing the viciousness that makes him the Viper. Reigns tries to fight back and looks moments away from doing it but is taken out from behind by Seth Rollins wielding the Money in the Bank briefcase. Kane soon joins in the three on one assault when the crowd go crazy as Dean Ambrose sprints to the ring! Dean Ambrose, steel chair in hand, slides under the bottom rope and nails Kane with a shot to the head. Orton and Rollins quickly bail as Ambrose follows up with a multiple chair shots to Kane, finished off by another spear by Roman Reigns. The crowd go crazy and Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose stand tall over a fallen Kane, staring down Randy Orton and Seth Rollins as they back up the ramp.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- We get a replay of what happened moments ago as Dean Ambrose made the save for Roman Reigns against The Authority. We come back to Ambrose and Reigns standing backstage in a promo eerily similar to that of the old Shield segments. Ambrose asks whether The Authority really thought it would be that easy? That just because they weren’t running together that the Shield was really broken for good? Ambrose makes it clear that they’re still brothers and they’ve still got each other’s backs, especially when it comes down to tearing apart The Authority. Reigns says that you can believe that they’re going to bring the fight to The Authority. Believe that, believe… in the Shield.
- As RAW returns to ringside we get the live performance courtesy of Flo Rida. I’m not going to pretend that I care about Flo Rida enough to write any of that out so I won’t. Thankfully, about a song and a half in Flo is interrupted by Heath Slater, the One Man Rock Band having heard enough and, by the sound of the fans, he isn’t the only one. Slater starts shouting about how this isn’t real music and tells the live band to start playing his number one hit. As you’d expect none of them knows it and Flo Rida tells Slater to shut his mouth. Slater tells him how about he shuts his and suddenly Flo Rida is taken out by a big boot courtesy of Titus O’Neil who comes from behind the curtain. A confused crowd aren’t sure whether to cheer or boo as Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil start taunting a downed Flo Rida but one thing’s for certain – the concert is over.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Prior to the WWE Intercontinental Championship match Bo Dallas makes his entrance as the crowd continue to give him a warm welcome. Dallas thanks everybody for coming out tonight and says that one day they can all be like him if only they bo-lieve! Bo tells them he’s going to go and do a bo-riffic job on commentary right now so that they can all enjoy the match just that little bit more.
6. WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH) The Miz © Defeated Dolph Ziggler with a Skull Crushing Finale after a distraction by Bo Dallas. Dolph Ziggler continues to tear it up in the ring and he really worked his ass of here pulling The Miz to what was possibly his best in ring performance in god knows how long. Bo Dallas was a particular highlight on commentary and ended up trying to spur Dolph on from ringside, telling him to bo-lieve. This only served to distract Dolph though and gave The Miz the opening to hit the Skull Crushing Finale and retain the Intercontinental Championship.
- Bo Dallas looks surprised at accidentally costing Dolph Ziggler the match but shrugs his shoulders and just says oops as The Miz celebrates his victory as if he just won an Oscar.
- We go backstage to the office of The Authority where the entire group is arguing about the events of the night, notably Nikki Bella issuing Stephanie with a lawsuit and Ambrose and Reigns teaming up to fight them off. Triple H has just about had enough and roars at them all to shut up. He tells them that he’s going to solve everything, starting with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It’s now that Paul Heyman appears in the doorway, asking if Triple H is ready. Triple H nods, tells the Authority to get their acts together and heads out of the office, ready to announce Plan C.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
- Triple H’s music hits as the COO heads to the ring for the second time tonight. He says that earlier tonight he was interrupted but if anybody comes out here right now they’ll be suspended on the spot because this is too important. He says that John Cena’s time as the face of this company is over but getting that title off of him has always proved a challenge. Randy Orton failed, Kane failed, even the new golden boy Roman Reigns failed and with Dean Ambrose sticking his face where it doesn’t belong the future of the company Seth Rollins has been unable to step up. So it comes to this, to Plan C. Triple H says that this is his last resort and that he went to the one man he never thought he’d have to, a man that he’s had plenty of problems with in the past but a man he knows will get this job done and put the title back around the waist of somebody who can represent this company the right way. That man is Paul Heyman!
Paul Heyman makes his way out to a chorus of boos but makes it clear that he doesn’t care. He doesn’t care because Triple H has finally seen sense to do the right thing. Paul Heyman says that Triple H is actually right for once because John Cena shouldn’t be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, his client should. His client is stronger, faster and a better all-round athlete in every way and has run through everyone in his way, because his client is the one… the one in twenty one and one, the man who broke the streak at WrestleMania Brock Lesnar! The crowd erupt as Brock Lesnar emerges onto the ramp, intimidating just in his walk to the ring. He goes eye to eye with Triple H and the Game offers his hand, Lesnar taking it and gripping tight. Paul Heyman says that at Summerslam John Cena will face the beast incarnate and he will be crushed beneath the fists of a superior wrestler, a superior athlete and a superior champion. At Summerslam Brock Lesnar becomes the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and there is nothing anybody can do to stop him. He’ll end Cena’s reign as easily as he ended The Undertaker’s precious streak.
RAW comes to an iconic end as Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman and Triple H stand united in their goal of ending John Cena’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign. And with Lesnar’s track history of ending things, it might just happen.

Had a reply typed to this earlier but Firefox crashed and I lost it. Very segment heavy RAW, but that's fairly accurate and the segments were well written and nicely detailed. The McMahon/Bella stuff is interesting, not sure I'd want to carry over that aspect of programming but that's part of the baggage I suppose. Glad you kept Brock as Plan C and I hope SummerSlam goes the same in this as it did in real life, at least as far as Cena vs. Lesnar is concerned.

| THIS WEEK IN WWE WWE MAIN EVENT; WWE NXT; WWE SMACKDOWN 23rd July 2014 – 27th July
| THE HEADLINES | - The new number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Brock Lesnar might not have appeared on SmackDown but his advocate Paul Heyman decided to swing by and reiterate his statements from RAW. Most notably that Brock Lesnar is a beast and the one in twenty one and one and is about to become the one who conquers John Cena and becomes the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Of course when a man like Paul Heyman promises that John Cena isn’t going to make it out of Summerslam the same man he went in it’s very hard not to believe him.
- Cesaro kicked off SmackDown by making it very clear that he didn’t attack Seth Rollins because he’s sick of The Authority, he attacked Seth Rollins because from now on if somebody does something he doesn’t like he’s going to spin them until their head comes off, and he wanted to do it again as he called out Rollins, challenging him to the main event on SmackDown. Cesaro didn’t get Rollins, but he did get Kane, the Authorities Big Red Monster warning Cesaro that The Authority didn’t like his attack on Rollins and his punishment was a match with Kane later on in the night.
The match didn’t go as planned for Kane. After fifteen minutes of hard hitting action things sprawled to the outside and the two men brawled around the ring to the count of ten, ending the match in a draw. That didn’t stop Cesaro from suplexing Kane on the ring apron, throwing him back in and proceeding to deliver a twenty rotation Cesaro Swing that left the Kane lying and Cesaro standing tall to end SmackDown. He might have got the crowd on his side but one thing’s for certain, Cesaro probably hasn’t seen the end of The Authorities lack of forgiveness.
| BEST OF THE REST | - Dolph Ziggler is not a Bo-liever. After Bo Dallas ‘accidentally’ cost Dolph a match on RAW the Showoff interrupted Bo at the top of WWE Main Event as he was trying to deliver a motivational speech to the WWE Universe. Ziggler didn’t believe Bo’s pleas that he didn’t mean to distract him and challenged him to a match later in the night, Bo accepting the challenge on the ‘urging’ of all his Bo-lievers. In the end a back and forth main event, on Main Event, ended with Bo rolling Dolph up and holding the tights to pick up the victory and go seventeen and Bo. However based on the Zig-Zag that Dolph delivered following the match it doesn’t look like things are over between the pair just yet.
- As announced during WWE Main Event WWE United States Champion Sheamus would defend his title against the super-athlete Rusev on SmackDown. With Lana promising that Rusev would take the title back to Russia with them the hopes of the WWE Universe laid in Sheamus’s hands but despite going in as strong as ever Sheamus just couldn’t put Rusev down. The Bulgarian even managed to kick out of a Brogue Kick en-route to hitting the thrust kick and locking in the Accolade to pick up not only a shocking victory but the United States Championship in the process! Following the match Rusev would unleash a vicious attack on Sheamus that left the fighting Irishman injured and it could have been a lot worse if not for the intervention of Jack Swagger who rushed the ring, Rusev and Lana deciding to flee in the face of their recent American enemy… but with the United States Championship now in their Russian grasp.
- Paige was entirely unapologetic over her vicious assault on AJ as she arrived on SmackDown. First off she showed off that same vicious streak as she picked up a swift victory over Naomi before cutting a vitriolic promo on the Diva’s Champion. Paige claimed she attacked AJ because she is “just like every other pathetic Diva” in the WWE and that the only woman who deserves that title is Paige herself. The self-proclaimed anti-diva announced that she has already had her match with AJ confirmed for Summerslam and that at the biggest party of the summer AJ’s party is going to be ended once and for all.
- Big E and Kofi Kingston teamed up on WWE Main Event in a losing effort to Rybaxel but what was more notable was what went down after the match. Xavier Woods, sporting a fresh white suit, came out and berated the way people like himself, Big E and Kofi are being held down in the WWE. He claimed that every single person knows what’s happening but that they pretend they don’t because they want to pretend their part of the problem. Xavier pledged to ‘solve’ the problem and offered Big E and Kofi an opportunity to be part of his movement. The pair, clearly disheartened by their loss and recognising Xavier’s problems, seemed to join him as the trio left together.
| NOT FORGETTING
| - Mark Henry made his return to the WWE after some notable time off, answering Alberto Del Rio’s open challenge on SmackDown and running right through the Mexican Aristocrat. After the match Henry promised that the Hall of Pain hasn’t closed it’s doors just yet and that’s he’s got plenty of pain left to dish out.
- Fandango showed off a new ruthless streak in a clash with Adam Rose as he attacked one of Rose’s rosebuds on the outside, distracting Rose and using his anger to lay him out on the outside for a count out victory. In a WWE App exclusive Rose promised that nobody hurts a rosebud, especially not a lemon like Fandango.
- After interrupting Flo’ Rida’s concert on RAW Heath Slater & Titus O’Neil, dubbing themselves Slater-Gator, used Main Event to explain that they’re sick of being held down and are the real stars of the WWE. They backed their words up with Slater picking up an O’Neil assisted victory over R-Truth on Main Event and then the pair besting Zack Ryder and Damien Sandow (for some reason dressed like a Jersey Shore reject) on SmackDown.
- Goldust and Stardust continued their strange backstage vignettes as the maths suddenly all came together for Stardust who realized exactly where the ‘cosmic key’ is, and according to Stardust he’ll reveal everything… next week.
| THE NXT REPORT | - Adrian Neville’s welcome all challenges approach continues to pay off as he picked up another big win on NXT, this time over Justin Gabriel. With Tyson Kidd watching on Adrian Neville and Justin Gabriel tore the house down in a twenty minute thriller that saw Neville come out on top thanks to the Red Arrow. Kidd, who had been mocking Neville on commentary throughout, refused to step foot in the ring with the champ. Tyler Breeze however didn’t, attacking Neville from behind and laying him out with the Beauty Shot to send another message to Neville that he is gunning for the gold.
- Summer Rae finally got her NXT Diva’s Championship match against former best friend forever Charlotte and the two certainly didn’t back down from each other, putting on yet another classic Diva’s match down in NXT. In the end it was their other former ‘best friend’ Sasha Banks that proved the difference maker, catching Summer Rae's leg from the outside and letting Charlotte hit Bow Down to the Queen to retain the title. Charlotte certainly wasn’t expecting the assistance and Banks didn’t wait around to explain herself.
- The Ascension might have finally met their match in the unlikely form of Enzo and Big Cass. In a tag team bout put together after a rather interesting run in backstage, one in which Enzo accused the Ascension of being sawft in the head, the fast talking bit hitting team were put on the back foot for much of it until a running boot on Konnor led to an Enzo Amore rollup for the shock victory. As Enzo and Cass made a quick exit from the enraged Ascension one thing was finally proven – The Ascension aren’t invincible.
- NXT kicked off with a fantastic contest between number one contender Tyler Breeze and close friend to the champion Sami Zayn. Despite Breeze’s near career ending finger injury Prince Pretty managed to counter a running stomp with a low blow and followed it up with the Beauty Shot for the victory. After the match Breeze proceeded to send a message to NXT World Champion Adrian Neville, connecting with a second party shot for good measure.

| THE RAW REPORT WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW 28th July | THE HEADLINES | - If there was one message sent during Monday Night RAW worth remembering it’s that John Cena is not afraid of Brock Lesnar. Or at least that’s what he claimed in front of the Beast Incarnates advocate Paul Heyman. Throughout the night the likes of Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and the injured Bad News Barrett (stopping by just to deliver this bad news) implied, inferred and outright said that Cena was afraid of defending his WWE Championship at Summerslam against Brock Lesnar. And upon hearing that Paul Heyman himself was in the building and had spent his night talking about the ‘next WWE Champion’ John Cena had had enough and headed for the ring to make things perfectly clear.
The confrontation went as you would expect. Upon calling Paul Heyman out John Cena made it clear he was ready for the challenge that Brock Lesnar will undoubtedly bring come Summerslam and that love him or hate him everybody knew he would fight to remain champion. The reaction Cena received was… unexpected. Paul Heyman simply laughed in Cena’s face, telling him that it doesn’t matter what John says he will never convince him because he knows the truth. John Cena is afraid of Brock Lesnar and worse still he’s afraid of ending up as just another footnote in Lesnar’s illustrious career just like The Undertaker. While Cena tried to argue for once it was Heyman who would get in the last word, telling Cena that he should be afraid because at Summerslam… Brock Lesnar is going to kill him.
- RAW’s main event was announced right at the start of the show by The Authority who made it clear that they won’t stand for Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns petulant behaviour, hence the tag team main event against Randy Orton and Kane. The third man they wanted to address was Cesaro who Triple H called out. The Authority attempted to smooth over the problems between Cesaro and Seth Rollins from last week but Cesaro refused, making it very clear he isn’t anybody’s whipping boy. Just like on SmackDown Cesaro demanded a match with Rollins and just like SmackDown it was refused with Cesaro being put in a handicap match against Rybaxel, a match he promptly won by capitalising on some miscommunication between the pairing and pinning Curtis Axel with the Neautralizer.
It would be during the main event that Cesaro would again prove a difference maker as he stopped Seth Rollins from interfering, finally getting his hands on Mr. Money in the Bank and giving Reigns and Ambrose the space to prove victorious, Reigns pinning Kane following a spear. While Rollins and Orton would then manage to escape Kane suffered the full force of the Cesaro Swing once more before suffering the indignigty of the Curb Stop courtesy of a message sending Dean Ambrose, the pair standing tall alongside Roman Reigns as Rollins and Orton made a quick exit.
- Stephanie McMahon was clearly worried over the news that Nikki Bella is suing her on a workplace assault charge and used RAW as a way to try and settle things down, calling Nikki out and asking her to drop the lawsuit. A desperate Stephanie went as far as to offer Nikki anything she wanted. What did Nikki choose? Well two things in fact. The first was that her sister Brie Bella would get her job back, a decision that Stephanie reluctantly agreed to. The second? A match at Summerslam that would pit both of The Bella’s against Stephanie McMahon! Stephanie was insistent that the match wouldn’t happen and begged Nikki to choose something else but the Bell of the Ball wasn’t having any of it, telling Steph that if they don’t get their match then she’ll go through with the lawsuit and take everything Stephanie’s family has built.
The result? Exactly what Nikki Bella wanted, Stephanie McMahon not only agreeing to hire Brie back and give the Bella’s their match but announcing that it will all be made official next week on RAW with a contract signing. Stephanie did give Nikki one warning though, be careful what you wish for…
| BEST OF THE REST | - The feud between Chris Jericho and The Wyatt Family doesn’t look on letting up as Jericho went one on one with Erick Rowan. Before the match Bray Wyatt promised to let the whole world see the truth about Chris Jericho and it soon became apparent what he meant. After a fantastic back and forth contest that many will likely be calling the best of Erick Rowan’s career it looked set to be a loss for The Wyatt’s as Jericho locked in the Walls of Jericho. It was at this moment that Luke Harper would strike, attacking Jericho and causing the DQ. What would follow was a vicious attack that left Jericho split open after a Sister Abigail onto a steel chair. Bray Wyatt declared that he had shown the WWE Universe Jericho’s true face – “he is no saviour, he is simply a man… and men can always die.”
- Dolph Ziggler got a second shot at The Miz in a non-title match against the Intercontinental Champion but once again it was Bo Dallas who proved the difference maker. Dallas made an appearance just as Ziggler looked set to pick up the victory and began preaching about forgiving Ziggler for laying him out after their match on SmackDown because he can see that Dolph is troubled and all he needs to do is ‘bo-lieve’. A distracted Ziggler became an easy target for the Skull Crushing Finale that gave The Miz the win and from the look on Bo’s face he wasn’t all that upset by it.
- The new WWE United States Champion Rusev certainly doesn’t respect the country he now represents and he and Lana made sure everybody knows it. After spending some time talking about how Rusev destroyed Sheamus and can now show everybody in America what a real champion is they were thankfully interrupted by Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter. The Real Americans, and the WWE Universe, see it as a travesty that Rusev holds a title named after the United States and they plan on doing something about it. If the brawl that kicked off between Swagger and Rusev, a brawl that saw Swagger send Rusev packing from the ring, means anything then the United States Championship might soon be back around the waist of a Real American.
- It’s a hard time to be The Uso’s. First the WWE Tag Team Champions found themselves on the end of a shocking upset loss to the newly formed Slator-Gator thanks to a Heath Slator rollup on Jimmy Uso but then they found themselves the victim of an even more unexpected attack by Stardust & Goldust. The Dust Brothers would leave The Uso’s out cold in the ring before Stardust declared the WWE Tag Team Championships as the ‘cosmic key’ that they have been searching for. Yeah, it’s definitely not a good time to be The Uso’s.
| NOT FORGETTING | - Paige would again dedicate her conclusive and dominating victory on RAW, this time over Layla, to the “soon to be former Diva’s Champion AJ”. AJ herself would again not appear, reportedly still not having recovered from Paige’s vicious attack last week on RAW and Paige made it very clear that she intends to put AJ on the shelf permanently and take the Diva’s Championship while she’s at it.
- After a successful return on SmackDown Mark Henry made it two for two with a victory over Damien Sandow on RAW, besting the man of a thousand identities with the World’s Strongest Slam. After the match though Henry would be jumped by Alberto Del Rio who was clearly angry over the loss on SmackDown. Unfortunately for Del Rio the element of surprise didn’t really pay off as the World’s Strongest Man sent him scurrying from the ring and left him a message as he delivered one more World’s Strongest Slam to Sandow for good measure.
- The odd tail of Brad Maddox continued on RAW as Maddox, handheld camera in hand, again appeared outside of the arena. Maddox promised that he knew all of the dodgy dealings going on behind the scenes of The Authority and he was going to reveal everything when the time is right, because nobody crossed Brad Maddox and gets away with it.
| QUICK RESULTS | 1. HANDICAP MATCH) Cesaro Defeated Rybaxel 2.) Paige Defeated Layla (w/ Summer Rae) 3.) Chris Jericho Defeated Erick Rowan (w/ The Wyatt Family) by DQ 4.) Slator-Gator Defeated The Uso’s 5.) Mark Henry Defeated Damien Sandow 6.) The Miz Defeated Dolph Ziggler 7.) Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose Defeated Randy Orton & Kane (w/ Seth Rollins)

I'm not a huge fan of this format that you or Dan is running, but, I'm not completely and totally against it. To each their own, of course. Solid stuff from John Cena and the rest of everyone telling him that he is afraid. The only thing I didn't care for much was Heyman saying Lesnar would kill him. Cesaro being up against The Authority I dig, he fits with the face personality unless utilized very right as a heel. Him showing up and beating Rybaxel is nice. Choosing a handicap match with The Bella Twins versus Stephanie McMahon at Summerslam. I'd hope a match between Chris Jericho and Bray Wyatt at Summerslam could be the end of the feud, to be honest. It just never seemed to click that well, but the blood of Jericho may add into it. Dolph Ziggler and Bo Dallas having a feud is alright, but I'd like to see Ziggler get a belt sooner or later. Rusev being the United States Champion is perfect and going forth with the feud against Jack Swagger is fine. Stardust and Goldust targeting The Usos will be good as long as they become the champions eventually. Making Paige and AJ Lee's rivalry more personal is for the best, keep that going. Alberto Del Rio targeting Mark Henry is interesting, we'll see where that goes. Incorporating Brad Maddox's handheld camera stuff is cool beans. Reigns and Ambrose beating Orton and Kane in the main event is good and overall, it was a solid edition of Raw. Tough reading conditions, as I mentioned earlier.

| THIS WEEK IN WWE WWE MAIN EVENT; WWE NXT; WWE SMACKDOWN 29th July – 3rd August 2014
| THE HEADLINES | - Randy Orton kicked off Friday Night SmackDown to make it very clear what he thinks of the recent uprising against The Authority. Orton claimed that the only reason the likes of Ambrose and Reigns are fighting them is because they wish they were with them but the fact of the matter is they’re simply not good enough. Randy was about to continue on when he was interrupted by another recent enemy of The Authority – Cesaro. Cesaro told Orton that the only person not good enough around here is the Viper, a man who has forgotten the brutality that made him a champion to become the Authority’s poster boy. The two went back and forth eventually settling on a match for later on that night.
That match was the main event and Cesaro and Randy Orton went all out. It was clear that Orton was trying to prove that Cesaro was wrong and that he was still as vicious as ever and that meant this was as hard hitting a main event as you’re likely to see. Cesaro surprised everyone when it looked like he was about to get the victory with the European Uppercut setting up for the Neutralizer but a distraction by Kane led to Orton hitting the RKO and getting the victory. After the match though Cesaro would strike once more as Orton and Kane attempted to teach him a lesson. Cesaro would send Orton barrelling out of the ring with a boot before taking Kane out with the Neutralizer making it very clear that Cesaro is no push over.
- Chris Jericho was too injured to appear on Friday Night SmackDown after the brutal attack on RAW and that became the focal point of Bray Wyatt’s latest sermon. Flanked by The Wyatt Family Bray repeated what he said on RAW, that he proved Chris Jericho is no saviour, he’s nothing but a man. And not just a man, but an old man trying to act like he isn’t past his prime. Bray would follow up this sermon by battling another ‘old man’ in Rob Van Dam who earlier in the night promised to teach Bray a lesson in respect for the stars that have come before him. The two put on a solid, if unspectacular, contest that ended with Bray connecting with an incredible Sister Abigail as Van Dam came flying off of the top rope to get the victory. Bray Wyatt’s message remains strong, and the fireflies show no signs of dimming.
| BEST OF THE REST | - Main Event saw a very special edition of Miz TV as The Miz hosted guest Bo Dallas. As always Miz attempted to make the show all about him, claiming that Bo keeps showing up during his matches because he’s such a big fan. Bo interrupted though, saying that The Miz used to be the WWE Champion, that he main evented WrestleMania, and that now he’s a shell of his former self. Bo claimed that The Miz could headline WrestleMania again if only he Bo-lieves! The Miz took offence to this and tried running down Bo only for Bo’s humorous expressions to throw him off, making him scream that Bo should take him seriously. Before things could come to blows Dolph Ziggler ran to the ring and tackled Bo to the ground due to their recent problems only for The Miz to pull him away and deliver a Skull Crushing Finale. Bo would surprise everyone by delivering the Bo-Dog to The Miz and standing tall with the Intercontinental Championship to close out Main Event.
- The new WWE United States Champion Rusev had an active week, first crushing Zack Ryder in a swift display of brutality on WWE Main Event before Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter made an appearance to talk about how disgusting it was that Rusev represented their proud United States, challenging Rusev to put the title on the line at Summerslam so they could show him what a Real American looks like. While Rusev and Lana refused to give an answer on Main Event they would appear on SmackDown where Rusev would not only pick up another dominant victory over Sin Cara but also accept Swagger’s challenge, Lana promising that at Summerslam everyone would recognize a real champion in the super-athlete Rusev.
- Stardust & Goldust would make a video appearance on SmackDown to show everybody the maths ‘proving’ that the WWE Tag Team Championships are the “cosmic key” that they need to unlock the truth. None of it made any sense but the crowd ate it up anyway because the Dust Brothers are gold at the creepy heel game. Stardust made it clear he won’t stop until he has the keys and while Goldust still has no idea what his brother is talking about he’s all in on winning the titles so The Uso’s better watch out.
- While it’s worth talking about Emma, Summer Rae & Layla’s impressive victory in a six Diva’s tag team match on SmackDown the real story was the reappearance of Diva’s Champion AJ Lee who demanded everyone clear the ring before talking about how Paige took her out on RAW last week. AJ made it clear that Paige has picked a fight with the wrong woman because when she’s finished there won’t be another page to be turned… her story will simply be over.
| NOT FORGETTING
| - The trio of Xavier Woods, Big E & Kofi Kingston made a big impact on WWE Main Event as Big E and Kingston overcame Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel in tag team action without uttering a word. Those words would come on SmackDown where Xavier Woods said that they were tired of being held down, that they were tired of watching “our people” being persecuted. Xavier promised that a change was coming and that it would come at the hands of The New Nation.
- With Alberto Del Rio, who was coming off of a win over R-Truth on Main Event, on commentary Mark Henry would once again put Damien Sandow in his place on SmackDown. Sandow was dressed like Ricardo Rodriguez here which got a laugh from the crowd but Sandow certainly wasn’t laughing as Henry put him down with the World’s Strongest Slam, sending yet another message to Alberto Del rio who still isn’t happy about being ‘embarrassed’ by Henry’s return last week.
- Adam Rose sought revenge on Fandango after the dangerous dancer put his hands on a rosebud last week, distracting him during a match with Diego that led to a rollup victory for the Matador. After the match Rose would follow up by laying Fandago out with the Party Foul to make it very clear you don’t ever put your hands on a rosebud.
| THE NXT REPORT | - NXT Champion Adrian Neville has seen challengers turning up from all sides but luckily he had some friends on his side tonight as he, Sami Zayn and Sin Cara took on Tyler Breeze, Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel. In the end a furious back and forth six man bout ended with Neville hitting the Red Arrow on Justin Gabriel while Zayn and Sin Cara took out Breeze and Kidd with a double suicide dive on the outside for the win. Regardless with a big announcement from Triple H regarding the next challenger for the NXT Championship promised for next week Neville won’t be resting on this win any time soon.
- Enzo & Big Cass made their case for an NXT Tag Team Championship shot even stronger this week as they bested Tye Dillinger & Jason Jordan. The pair even made a quick escape when The Ascension attempted to attack, furious over their surprising loss last week. Enzo & Big Cass made it very clear exactly what he thinks of The Ascension’s cheap tactics, they might have hard heads but they’re realy S.A.W.F.T… SAAAAWWWspamFTTT! Enzo punctuated their message by saying soon enough The Ascension will be former champs because those titles belong to a pair of bonafide G’s and from the sounds of things the crowd agrees.
- NXT Diva’s Champion Charlotte demanded an explanation from Sasha Banks after The Boss helped her defeat Summer Rae last week. Sasha mockingly said that it was obvious Charlotte needed the help since she couldn’t get the job done on her own. Charlotte wasn’t best pleased by this and the two former BFF’s quickly ended up arguing in the middle of the ring with Sasha getting the last word by promising that if Charlotte doesn’t want her “friendship” then she’ll take it away… along with the NXT Diva’s Championship.
- Meanwhile in other Diva’s Action Bayley got a victory over Alexa Bliss in an entertaining contest only brought down by Alexa’s lack of ring experience, making Bayley’s own case to be Charlotte’s next challenger even stronger.
- Bull Dempsey showed everyone exactly why he’s the last of a dying breed in a strong victory over Kalisto. The high flying luchadore put up one hell of a fight but in the end the size and power advantage proved the difference maker as Dempsey put him away with the Bulldozer.
| QUICK RESULTS | WWE MAIN EVENT 30th July 2014 1.) Rusev (w/ Lana) Defeated Zack Ryder 2.) Big E & Kofi Kingston (w/ Xavier Woods) Defeated International Airstrike 3.) Alberto Del Rio Defeated R-Truth
WWE NXT 31st July 2014 1.) Bull Dempsey Defeated Kalisto 2.) Bayley Defeated Alexa Bliss 3.) Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady Defeated Tye Dillinger & Jason Jordan 4.) Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn & Sin Cara Defeated Tyler Breeze & International Airstrike

WWE NEWS: Brock Lesnar, NXT, Sheamus, More...- News coming out of the WWE offices this week is that Brock Lesnar has been negotiating with World Wrestling Entertainment over a new contract that would see his terms changed. Currently Lesnar is working a set number of dates and all of his matches have had to planned around these. Under the terms of any new deal WWE would be able to use Lesnar for any TV and pay per views they wanted on a pro-rata basis. Current word is that if the deal is signed Lesnar will likely make double what he made working with the WWE last year. - WWE officially announced three huge signings for NXT this week confirming that Japanese wrestling megastar KENTA will be joined by independent wrestling favorites Kevin Steen and Fergal ‘Prince’ Devitt. The three are expected to heat down to the WWE’s performance centre next week and will likely be in line for an NXT debut within the next few months. - WWE announced this week that Sheamus suffered broken ribs as a result of Rusev’s assault last week on SmackDown and that he will be out of action for four to six weeks. This is a storyline injury and Sheamus is expected to do a lot of media work during the next month before returning to feud with Rusev over the United States Championship. - As announced on WWE.COM this week Ricardo Rodriguez has been released from his contract. Rodriguez reportedly requested the release as he wants to be an active wrestler and WWE didn’t have anything for him in that role. Sandow dressing as Rodriguez on SmackDown and getting squashed by Mark Henry was reportedly a playful dig at Rodriguez. - According to reports out of Absolute Intense Wrestling WWE have signed Jock Samson to a development deal and he’ll be reporting down to the performance center in the coming weeks. This is an unusual signing for WWE as Samson’s gimmick on the independent scene is that of a wife-beating, alcohol fuelled redneck. It’s almost certain that this will be toned down if not changed completely.

Your first written Raw was the actual Raw in Miami that I attended live - and proposed to my fiancee at, afterward. I would've loved to be at your version live as well.

I like having Cesaro be a thorn in the side of The Authority, and him going up against Randy Orton in the main event of Smackdown is good showing for him - albeit in defeat. Thanks to Kane, of course. Cesaro retaliating was good for him, too. Bray Wyatt beating Rob Van Dam was good although I don't know how he could hit Sister Abigail in midair? Unless he caught him and brought him down and then in to it, of course. Either way, Bray winning was obviously for the best. Rusev vs Jack Swagger going down for the United States Championship will be good, although I feel you may have been a bit hair-trigger on him becoming United States Champion. I know you said Sheamus will be coming back in the news after, so maybe we'll see them feud for the belt (or maybe you're just pulling legs). We'll see. Star and Goldust should become tag team champions since Harper and Rowan didn't. An Alberto Del Rio vs Mark Henry feud is alright, I guess. Nothing special. I do like that you are using the New Nation of Woods, Big E and Kofi Kingston. Hopefully you go far with them. NXT, sadly, for me isn't too exciting. I don't know why. It just isn't. Maybe I just like the bigger show feel. However, there is some great talent and it is good to see you showcasing them. A solid show on Smackdown with nothing too eventful elsewhere.
Glad to see you keeping KENTA, Steen and Devitt in the fold even if I only really care for one of them. Jock Samson was an interesting grab, too. Wonder what you'll do with him.

| THE RAW REPORT WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW 4th August | THE HEADLINES | - At the very top of the night John Cena hit the ring to make it clear that he’s had enough of people telling him he’s scared of Brock Lesnar and that he’s destined to get an ass kicking at Summerslam. Cena said that he knew Lesnar was in the building tonight and that he wanted him to meet him in the ring right now! Cena did get ‘a beast’ but not the one he was expecting, instead the WWE World Heavyweight Champion was met in the ring by The Wyatt Family. Bray mocked Cena for letting the fear get to him, saying it was a joy to watch the hero of the WWE show his true colours, that of a coward. Cena got in Bray’s face but was quickly caught off guard by a boot from Harper as the Wyatt Family went on the offensive. Cena fought them off as best as he could but it wasn’t until Chris Jericho made the save that the Wyatt’s fled with Bray laughing the entire way. Laughing right into the announcement that the main event would pit John Cena and Chris Jericho against Luke Harper & Erick Rowan.
That main event turned out to be a top class contest as all four men put on a hell of a show, pulling out all the big spots you’d expect from them and then some. While the size of Harper and Rowan proved to give them an advantage the experience and fight of Cena and Jericho left them just a moment from victory as Jericho delivered a Codebreaker to Rowan only to be pulled from the ring by Bray Wyatt and to get hit by Sister Abigail on the floor for the DQ. With Jericho out the Wyatt’s surrounded Cena but quickly backed down much to Cena’s surprise… only to realize that Brock Lesnar was standing right behind him. Cena instinctively backed away as Brock just stared him down and smirked at the obvious display of fear. Paul Heyman would declare that John Cena had proved himself scared off the beast incarnate, getting a full on “Brock’s gonna kill you chant” going as Cena looked at Lesnar and the crowd, doubting himself, as RAW came to an end.
- Cesaro and Randy Orton kicked off the action in a rematch of their rough and tumble battle on SmackDown and once again didn’t disappoint the fans watching, the pair going all out to put on a top class contest. And just like on SmackDown Cesaro looked set to walk out the winner as he delivered the European uppercut and a ten rotation swing before setting up the Neautralizer… only to be rushed by Kane and Seth Rollins for the disqualification. The numbers game didn’t last long though as Rollins’ former Shield cohorts Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns made the save, running off the trio in style by including a Superman Punch to Kane. As the six men stared each other down Triple H made an appearance to say he was sick off all of this and announcing that later in the night Ambrose & Reigns would face Rollins & Kane and that they should be careful what they wish for.
Despite Rollins’ adamence that he didn’t want to step into the ring with his former Shield teammates Triple H was having none of it and the match went ahead as planned which might have been a mistake for The Authority. While Rollins’ knowledge of his former partners kept him and Kane in the match it was the bond between Ambrose and Reigns that have them a clear advantage. The two worked perfectly together and tore through The Authority, handing out beatings to Rollins particularly whenever they got the chance. In the end Seth had had enough and ended up hightailing it out of the ring as Reigns got going leaving Kane to take the Superman Punch and the Spear that led to the three count. Rollins made a quick exit the with the Money in the Bank briefcase as Ambrose screamed that he’s coming for him and that there’s nowhere he can hide. With the news that Summerslam will pit the two former Shield teammates against each other, alongside Roman Reigns facing off with Randy Orton, that declaration might well be true.
- The reunited Bella Twins would take great joy in calling out Stephanie McMahon to sign the contract not only for Brie’s reinstatement to the WWE roster but also to confirm a handicap match pitting the Bella’s against Stephanie at Summerslam. Stephanie initially tried to talk the pair out of the match, offering them both Diva’s Championship matches instead, but the Bella’s refused, they want a piece of Stephanie and if they don’t get it then Nikki will sue Stephanie and the WWE for all their worth. A reluctant Stephanie signed the contract but threateningly told the pair that they asked for this and what happens next is their own fault.
| BEST OF THE REST | - The Miz wasn’t too happy that Bo Dallas stood tall with his Intercontinental Championship on Main Event and called out the leader of the Bo-lievers to demand some respect. Bo again said that The Miz is just a shell of his former self and the two went back and forth, Bo’s seemingly carefree nature infuriating The Miz. That was until they were interrupted by Dolph Ziggler who challenged the pair to a tag team match right there and then. The Miz and Bo, both too arrogant to turn the challenge down, faced off with Ziggler and his partner Rob Van Dam. In a fantastic tag team contest with some great action it was Ziggler who picked up the win with the Zig-Zag on The Miz while Bo hightailed it out of there relatively unharmed. But with news that Miz, Ziggler and Bo Dallas will face off in a triple threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Summerslam this certainly isn’t the final chance Ziggler will have to get his hands on the man who’s gone seventeen and Bo. - Rusev and Lana held a special “state of the union” address arguing that as their champion they’re entitled to give their opinion on the United States, and their opinion isn’t particularly nice, tearing down American’s economy, health system and education. It didn’t take long until Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter had heard enough, making their way to the ring to go toe to toe with Rusev and Lana. Zeb ran down the long list of problems with Vladamir Putin’s Russia and was kind to point out Rusev isn’t even a Russian, he’s an immigrant supporting a completely different nation he isn’t even a part of. Rusev took offence to that and attempted a cheap kick only for Swagger to catch the boot and lock in the Ankle Lock. In a shocking display Rusev was forced to tap out before managing to crawl out under the ropes to break the hold but it’s clear as they head towards a now announced clash at Summerslam that Rusev certainly isn’t unbeatable after all.
- Moments after Jimmy Uso bested Curtis Axel in singles action, a result that partner Ryback wasn’t at all happy with, The Uso’s found themselves the subject of another weird promo from Stardust & Goldust. While it’s clear Goldust just wants to be WWE Tag Team Champion again Stardust truly believes that the titles are the cosmic key he has been looking for and has promised to do whatever it takes to get it. What makes this all the more interesting? These two teams will face off next week on RAW for the WWE Tag Team Championships!
- AJ Lee and Paige would come face to face for the first time since Paige’s brutal assault on RAW. Following Paige’s victory over Emma, which in itself can be called one of the best Diva’s matches seen on RAW in some time. AJ congratulated Paige on being able to take her out but promised it won’t happen again, saying that Paige just isn’t good enough to be on her level. Paige agreed she wasn’t on AJ’s level because she’s so far above it, she’s sick and tired of people calling her a diva. She’s no diva, she’s the anti-diva, she’s a woman who’s going to kick ass and take her title back. AJ told her she’s welcome to try, just not to cry when she loses again, igniting a stare down two weeks before these two clash at Summerslam.
| NOT FORGETTING | - Alberto Del Rio has made it perfectly clear he’s had a problem with Mark Henry ever since the World’s Strongest Man defeated him upon his return and that problem grew on Monday Night RAW as the two clashed in a rematch. It was a close fought affair thanks to Del Rio’s underhanded tactics but eventually it looked like the strength of Henry would win out… that was until Del Rio brought a steel chair into play and attacked Henry with it, drawing the disqualification. Del Rio attempted to take Henry out with the chair but the World’s Strongest Man fought back and sent Del Rio running for the hills but not before declaring the message that he’ll soon be inducted into the Hall of Pain.
- Brad Maddox would appear yet again in a handheld camera recorded video, this time trying to buy a ticket for Summerslam from a receptionist at WWE Headquarters, only to find out that they’re all sold out. Maddox tried to charm her into selling him one, surprised that she didn’t know who he was. Maddox pledged to find a way into Summerslam and begin revealing the truth about The Authority.
| QUICK RESULTS | 1.) Cesaro Defeated Randy Orton via disqualificatiom. 2.) Paige Defeated Emma 3.) Jimmy Uso (w/ Jey Uso) Defeated Curtis Axel (w/ Ryback) 4.) Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns Defeated Seth Rollins & Kane 5.) Dolph Ziggler & Rob Van Dam Defeated The Miz & Bo Dallas 6.) Mark Henry Defeated Alberto Del Rio via Disqualification. 7.) John Cena & Chris Jericho Defeated Luke Harper & Erick Rowan (w/ Bray Wyatt) via disqualification.

Been reading over this at times, not fully sold on the layout you and Dan seem to be fond of but do think you are using it a little better than Dan currently.
I actually think your doing some good work which is going a little un noticed. Like the Cena fears Brock twist makes sense and the visual and crowd reaction at the end of Raw was mint.
The little Brad Maddox teases have me intrigued. Maddox has a lot of potential in my mind.
Cesaro being a face is cool. Authority story is stale to me would like to see you move on from that as soon as possible.
Overall this has a lot of potential very early stages but I'll be keeping my eyes on it.

Monday Night Raw, August 14th. A good main event set up via the opening promo with John Cena teaming with Chris Jericho against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Brock Lesnar scaring John Cena? Maybe Cena is going to poop himself. Seriously. Ambrose and Reigns versus Rollins and Kane is fine, but not making it a six man tag!? Boo, I say. Best call to have Reigns pin Kane, though. The Bella Twins are a bore to me, I wouldn't mind if they just blew up out of nowhere in to millions of pieces. I'd imagine Nikki in to a billion of pieces with those fake things on her chest. Dolph Ziggler vs Bo Dallas vs The Miz will be an interesting match. Would like to see Ziggler win the belt, honestly. Rusev tapping out!? Bah gawd that is unbelieveable. Too bad for Swagger he'll get wrecked at Summerslam. I hope Ryback turns on Axel and Star/Goldust win the belts. I hope AJ wins. I don't like the flip flopping of the titles. Alberto Del Rio and Mark Henry seems like something just completely thrown together, yeah? Oh well. The Brad Maddox stuff is interesting to be put on television and I'm intrigued by what you do with it. A solid show, looking forward to Summerslam.
