sometimes i truly believe the WWE does this kind of thing to "rib" its fans
because they can
and they know that by mentioning the network it's going to set off all the buttholes on twitter and forums who are sooooooo mad that they are mentioning the network, the irony of it is hilarious.

I missed Raw Monday because basically I got caught up with a tech trying to fix our computer that I forgot it was Monday. It wasn't until I received a text from heroesandmartyrs saying $9.99 that I knew it was on. I asked what that meant has he said Triple H pushing the Network like an infomercial. Now personally I wished I would have seen that because I sure it was 100x better than sitting through anything with Paige involved in it.

IMO instead of mentioning it 41 times for very brief intervals in the hopes that they can catch whatever new viewers may have missed the announcement earlier...they could just put a little graphic in the corner of the screen "WWE Network/9.99". It's always there, it's not annoying anyone by calling attention to it during the show and everyone sees it

Absolutely pathetic, hope the network goes under and they realize not everyone is going to pay for garbage.

41 seems low. It felt like over 100. Ha ha I think that's because they said "9.99" over 100 times. I'm pretty sure they were throwing around "9.99" a lot more than "wwe network". That's what I was expecting this video to be counting down before I watched it lol. And honestly it felt like one of those instances where people keep jumping onto an inside joke and then run it completely into the ground. It was laughable at first when Triple H had the crowd finishing his sentence and saying 9.99 but the joke was completely flatlined by the time JBL was holding up a piece of paper with 9.99 written on it and not letting Cole even finish his sentences so he could make more 9.99 jokes.

They need subscribers. People are literally losing their jobs. It really is an awesome deal. Just a business trying hard to make sales. I think people are bitching too much. This /thread

I think Paige has been much less terrible the last few weeks compared to how awful she was for like five months before that. But Stephanie, Triple H and his friend Mark are generally the highlights of the show these days.

A bad look to whom? A bunch of whiny internet fans? Nobody is going to stop watching Raw because they were plugging the Network. Nobody is going to not buy the Network because they were plugging the Network, assuming they wanted it prior to last night. This is something to talk about for a week, and then we'll all move onto b*tching about Lesnar being champion and never showing up on TV. WWE has been slinging their own goods for years and they have a 3 hour TV program to do it. If they sold one Network subscription last night then it was worth it to them. Also, I'm fairly certain Vince and Triple H were taking the piss out of the internet last night. We're an extremely easy target, obviously. you can say it's whiny internet fandom, but I agree with the person that said it's a bad look for the company...one of desperation (even if they use humor to make light of the repetition) everyone reacts to marketing differently, but there is a line for each person at which they will say 'enough' & turn against it......the issue is, even after you buy this product, you're still having it shoved down your throat & that's a dangerous thing to do -- you can't treat every single consumer like a first timer the success of the company is now based on network numbers; which means that raw is 3 hours of self-promotion from now until forever --- so, regardless of if someone is a "new, returning, or lifer" and regardless of if you're paying $9.99 a month, you have to have your "free" product (RAW) interrupted with countless in-house ads when they've just come back from commercial I am a 'free viewer' & don't have the network...but now, there's not a chance I'd ever buy it & that's simply the way I react to over advertisements (if I see a commercial 4 times in a 30 min. span - I have officially boycotted whatever it was)...just how I am. Will I stop watching Raw because of the endless plugging? It's very possible if I have to sit through another Raw like Monday....it may mean that I'll see results & watch matches that look entertaining, or just fast forward through half the program on my DVR, or not watch at all. Whatever I do, I cannot handle another Raw with Cole talking that much about the stupid Network. You can't be a free viewer. You pay for some type of service which allows you to watch Raw which somewhere along the line pays WWE.

It happens to be on a channel that is part of a cable package & not an extra charge for me to see Raw beyond my normal expenses. If I watch highlights on youtube, it's part of my internet bill that's lumped in with the cable & I'm not forced to pay extra for it. If they monitor my tv viewing habits, sure...I'd create ad revenue for USA Network that'll allow for a larger WWE television contract, but I'm not paying for the WWE Network or solo PPV's - in their eyes, I'm watching for free.

Maybe it's just me but... I can not fathom why someone would want WWE Network to fail all because they mentioned the price too much. Really? Is it any different than the 35 Coors light commercials we see during a football game? Nope, but I don't see anyone wishing finical hardships on Coors light or the desire to see their employees loose their jobs.
Whether you subscribe or not, as a true fan you should want to see WWE prosper in all aspects. Not wish they crash and burn so you can act cool online. Just saying.
