Don't like the cast at all. Melissa McCarthy is as one-note as any actress in Hollywood today, and Kristen Wiig isn't really that far off: she has some versatility, but she is the type of actress that finds one note and tries to hit it with every scene she performs.
My assumption is that McCarthy is going to be a mix between Stantz and Spengler, and tell a lot of fart jokes, while Wiig is going to be aping Bill Murray's performance from the first movie. There's no way this ends well.

Again I don't mind an all female cast but their picks are horrible. Why not a group of ladies in their 20's who are the daughters of the originals Ghostbusters and keep it going as Ghostbusters 3?
I hate this idea Hollywood has of we're gonna take a popular franchise or a popular film remake it and have it only be similar in name not in story, characters, or whatever. (Looking at you Teen Wolf)

I know he wasn't Peter's son but it would have been cool to see Oscar raised by Peter and become a Ghostbuster and put together a new team.

Good Lord.......Im terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought by this.......an all female cast is so forced its just unreal. I haven't met ONE female fan of the original movies that thinks this is a good idea.
the original movie was bottled lightning.....it underwent SO MANY cast and storyline changes due to events unfolding outside the movie.....it can NEVER be repeated.

I'm super ing excited for this. In case people fail to realize, the cast for Ghostbusters came about the exact same way. Comedy actors, not known for versatility, but can play a part. Kate McKinnon is one of the funniest people on TV, as is Leslie Jones. If you don't think Kirsten Wiig is good go watch Bridesmaids then Skeleton Twins. Melissa McCarthy was great in St. Vincent. Paul Feig is also a fantastic writer. |

I didn't think I could have any more venom left in me after the FF trailer.....but yeah here it is for this dose of sh8t.
I think KW is a great actress(I'm a fan of hers)but she should steer clear of this.

They could tell us that the ghost of Harold Ramis haunted the set and could be seen in the movie and I wouldn't watch either...... I wonder will Janine's role be recast as "James" the slightly effeminate "Admin assistant" because yknow you cant say Secretary anymore either....... between this and Tranks "average 4 vs Blogger Doom" I'm horrified. |
