Why can't we just get the app like the US, we don't have rogers where I live & and I won't switch to rogers if we did for the channel this is horrible news. I think canada could have saved the network but they just shot them selfs in the foot with this dumb idea. Any one else agree with me?, also do you think we will get the app network at a diffrent date ?

Because the CRTC won't allow the network to operate in Canada like it does in the USA. Part of Rogers deal to get the network the way we're getting it is also them submitting a sponsership to the CRTC to try to get them to approve the normal network for us, which even if it does get accepted, likely won't be taking effect for at least a year

for what it's worth, I did the same thing LK did, and I've had the network no problems since launch day.

Hey. The free preview runs for 7 days starting tomorrow, Tuesday August 12th. Does that mean we get SummerSlam for free?

Yes... only those with Rogers Cable get it of course. So pretty much the Greater Toronto Area has the WWE Network. Nobody else in Canada does. So the WWE Network isn't coming to Canada... it's coming to Rogers Cable.

Seems like no free preview.
Also it seems 512 is just the regular stream from the network. Doing some manual search i found 397 to be WWEOD on demand. So i guess that where the video on demand service is and where we can pick stuff to watch

A few ppvs. But nothing great.

^ damn that sucks... so basically all we get is the stream...with very few on demand ppvs.. totally get shafted here.. might be worth it to increase my internet cap space and just get the american one.. keep calling rogers and threaten to cancel until they give u a really good deal on your internet...then use the VPN/proxy way to get the USA version of the network

Because of the cap space. I already use netflix and I figure the wwe network would only add to my usage. All of the ppvs I either already own or have in my collection already. The ppvs and the specials( which usually air through the stream) are all I really need.

when i first heard about the launch of the network in february i wanted to get it as soon as it came out by any means but when i heard the VOD was terrible and barely anything was being uploaded i decided to wait untill it came to Canada. The only reason i sub'd to the network was the PPVs, specials and random stuff on the channel

Unblock-Us.com - Sign up for WWE Network with an american address - Pay with Paypal. Done. Yeah, thats what i did. I joined in February and working great! Canadians really got shafted on the Network here and makes me glad i kept my US subscription. I read from a source that Bell has no intention of carrying the Network so Rogers will be the only company (surprise!) to carry it. They will probably sell the rights to Shaw and Cogeco but doesn't look like Bell will have it. 24/7 (Classics on Demand) was also available only on Rogers and took like 2 years to launch here. From what i read from others opinions looks like the Canadian Network is basically an enhanced Classics on Demand with a 24/7 live channel. The irony is that this was the model WWE were looking to implement in the US back in 2011 and 2012 when promos for the Network launched but no satellite/cable provider wanted it and WWE wouldn't make too much and there would be restrictions from providers. Rogers must have dumped a truckload of money to WWE for them not to accept this offer.

Does anybody have any info regarding how often the Video On Demand will be updated?

After reading about how bad the WWE Network is for the Canada version, I am now almost glad that my cable company didn't get it. Oh how I miss the days of Classics On Demand. That was so simple and easy.

Rogers put up a FAQ regarding the WWE Network - this should haven posted before the launch instead of being sketchy with all the details. Looks like the Canadian version is just temporary until the CRTC approves the actual Network which would eventually be the same as the US, but could take time.
