I think OSU was the right choice...despite me not being a Buckeye fan, the extra win (vs. TCU/Baylor) was just too attractive for the selection committee to pass up.

I can't contain my excitement for the Western Michigan game tonight against Air Force. It's gonna be a good one.

Glad to see Penn St pick up a W. Hope they can start to rebuild.

Wow, no means no chants from Oregon players and fans after win (referring to Jameis Winston).
I thought Oregon had a little more class than that.

Speaking of class, lets talk about FSU players walking off the field without shaking hands. Or Winston yelling as his coach. Or his coaching yelling at him to "calm the down or you're going to the bench"......The way most FSU fans act, they deserve everything they get from players, fans and the media.

I despise FSU and do agree. I thought it was hilarious watching Jimbo yelling at Jameis, he should of benched him. I am just surprised that it was Oregon to do that. Florida State was a wasted spot, it should have been TCU/Baylor.

I do think TCU was a better team though. I would argue Baylor until they lost the Cotton Bowl. Id personally go Bama, Oregon, TCU & OSU as the top 4.

i'm a little surprised Alabama lost but it appears Blake Sims showed his true colors today. Oregon vs. Ohio State should be a great game

Eh, I didnt think Bama would lose but Im not surprised either. Bama is a solid team but they're not as dominate as they were the past few years. The defense has lost A LOT of guys to the draft and Sims isnt half the QB McCarron or McElroy was.
I fully expect and hope Oregon trounces Ohio State in the Title game. Oregon under Kelly had speed and the razzel dazzle type stuff but they werent physical nor had any size. After their loss to LSU in the BCS game a few years ago, Oregon has kept their style of play but also added size and gotten considerably more physical.

Glad to see two new teams, not so much of NEW, but not won a title in a few years, in the title game. Got a buddy who's a diehard Ducks fan as he's from Oregon, and while I'm a Pitt fan I like seeing a "local" tristate area team in the title game.

He was just having some fun. Nice to see him loosen up a bit.
Ohio State wasn't supposed to beat Mich St. They weren't supposed to beat Wisconsin. They sure weren't supposed to beat Alabama. I'll wait until the game before I start worrying too much.

Was hoping for Bama vs. Oregon, but I'm also happy the SEC isn't in the title game. They don't get automatic bids to the title game just for being the SEC anymore. In fact if they were smart they'd beef up their non conference schedule instead of just relying on beating other ranked SEC teams from now on.

There was a picture I saw on FB of ESPN execs sitting at a round table and the caption was "ESPN execs actively seeking reason to cancel National Championship since no SEC team is in." I laughed.

Your SEC champion is going to be in the playoffs no matter what as long as they're not a 2-3 loss team. Just as the Pac12, Big10 etc Champions will be Why beef up your non conference schedule when your in conference schedule is better then most? I just had this dispute with someone earlier, Bama & Oregon are the two best teams in their conference. Bama played 10 winning teams out of 12 scheduled games. Of those 12, 8 of them were SEC teams. All of which had winning records. Oregon also played 12 games, 9 of which being conference games. Of those 9 conference games only 5 had winning records. Oregon played 3 out of conference games, Michigan St, Wyoming & South Dakota. Michigan St being the only team with a winning record. Alabama played 4 out of conference games, West Virginia, So Miss, Fla Atlantic and Western Carolina. West Virginia & Western Carolina both had winning records. Im not saying Bama is a better team, clearly they're not but they do play a lot harder teams then someone from the Pac12 or Big12 just by playing in conference. Its one of the main reasons Florida dropped Miami from their schedule 25 years ago. Also Alabama, LSU and Tennessee alone in the last 5 years have either scheduled to play or have played Oregon, Oklahoma, Nebraska, UCLA, USC, Virginia Tech and thats not counting rivalry games like Florida-FSU or Georgia-Ga Tech

Who did Miss State play? A few will schedule a division 1 team, sometimes that team isn't very good either and usually it's played on SEC turf. Again, 90% of the SEC is ranked at the beginning of the year which means a)they don't have to have a strong out of conference b) it helps their ranking once they beat the other ranked SEC teams. Every year most of that conference isn't what they thought it would be. Yes, the top handful are elite but the conference as a whole is super overrated. Having a playoff and a vote to determine who gets the spots will come down to strength of play. If the notion resumes with the SEC not needing need to prove themselves than certainly they will be awarded a guaranteed spot, but as the years roll on and they have years where they aren't performing well in bowls or the playoffs the opinion can shift and they'll have to start to look at playing real teams in their non conference or having so many crappy teams to pad their win total.

Miss State did play a crap schedule, but it also caught up with them as well. At the same time, a team like Stanford, who Im a big fan of also played a crappy schedule but when they played ranked teams, they lost where as Miss St still beat a few of them. Im just saying, every conference is almost exactly the same if you really dig into it, its just the SEC has had more success over the past 10 years so they're treated like they're abusing it. There really isnt a team in any conference that doesnt do what they do.
