I just hope these signings aren't for the sole purpose of getting subscriptions to the WWE Network... and they intend on having these WRESTLERS as the future of the company... I'm very doubtful, though. That's actually a very good point...

He'll be teamed with Sandow or slater. So he'll randomly get put on the main roster and thrown into a tag team that would most likely be entertaining? Is that what you're getting at? I wish. But sadly he will never get to shine.

A Japanese star, a UK star and a Canadian star... all while WWE is pushing The Network going international.
I mean, unless it's a coincidence that they announced Steen's signing that day that WWE Network debuts in Canada.

I'm glad they signed Kevin Steen. I'll admit, I thought him being overweight would diminish any chance of him getting signed, but I've seen that he lost weight since he did the tryouts months ago, so I'm so happy for him. I can see WWE asking him to lose a little more weight, which I'm sure he'll be glad to do and not refuse to do it for months. I'm sure that Triple H has big plans for Kevin Steen, for Prince Devitt, for KENTA. I doubt they would have made a huge deal about these signings if they didn't have something huge planned for them. I bet three-four months from now, these guys are gonna be some of the top guys on NXT, which means some people are gonna have to get called up around after Wrestlemania season, which they need to cut some of the guys on the main roster to make room for new call-ups. I'm curious on what they will call these three. I can't wait for these guys to debut. I honestly don't see them debut until after NXT TakeOver 2, maybe they'll do something where Triple H brings these three out or one of them out. I don't see these three debut at the same time.

I still don't get why everyone thinks he's gonna be big? He doesn't have the look which is a big part of being big in WWE. His appearance just doesn't scream "poster material"

His appearance just doesn't scream "poster material" Neither did Husky Harris. Steen has an abundance of talent in many areas that could lead him to many possibilities of success. I think the whole WWE/Vince stereotype of only big muscular guys being hired and successful can be put to rest. People said Punk would never be signed because of his tattoos and Daniel Bryan would never be signed due to his size. What happened with the constant dirt sheet reports that WWE wasn't going to hire small and/or indy guys and look at who all has been hired in the last two years.

Great news. Really hope he gets to keep his name & gimmick. I doubt he's gonna keep his name. No one from the indies other than CM Punk that have ever signed with WWE has kept their name. His gimmick might remain the same with just a few tweaks to make it their own.

I'm very doubtful, though. I never even thought about this until you mentioned it. I doubt this is just to get more subscriptions in those countries. I'm sure these guys will be the top guys on NXT for months to a year before making it to the main roster one by one.

I wish. But sadly he will never get to shine. Why wouldn't he? Wwe has always put it to any other talent that they really didn't develope. And of course there is exceptions. Hopefully he gets to shine

I had the honour of calling his last match in Ontario in July, I'm very excited and happy to see him going on to big things like this.

I've never seen a Kevin Steen match or promo but have heard good things.
Looking forward to seeing him in NXT/WWE.

NXT is about to be the best WWE show again.
Triple H will usher in the best era of professional wrestling in years if he keeps up these signings.
I also really hope theyre changing the name policy. With KENTA, Devitt and Steen all being made to look like huge signings it looks very likely.
