Honestly, I think if they release it at the right time, like during the summer, it could help them sell come consoles. I just don't get people acting like they were deceived or backstabbed by this happening. It is hilarious over-reaction and silly. Of course people acting like Mirosoft is this evil rich company, and Sony is some kind of mom and pop operation that isn't just as evil and rich is also hilarious. Everyone seems to forget that Sony has ever made mistakes now that they are on top. NeoGAF is absolutely horrible with praising Sony and bashing Microsoft any chance they get. This game is coming next Holiday though, so probably October or November. I am guessing this along with Halo 5 will be the big games they push for that period.

Some members are decent, but the majority of community over there come across as dicks.

It's all about entitlement now. Resolution, framerate, etc. Nothing is ever good enough anymore.

Well, hopefully it will be cheaper then if I get it 6 months after XB1 users... right? Haha.

Sucks for PS fans, but doesn't phase me as I'm an Xbox guy.

Everyone should watch this video. So many great points made here: Honestly I found most of that video sad and pathetic. It was like watching a little kid throwing a temper tantrum. That and he can't articulate any points without screaming and cursing like a lunatic. No kidding it was about money. All video games are created to make money. If you remove profit from the industry, see what kind of crap is left. I don't get how people are so shocked, angry, and full of hypocritical blind rage over this. If someone loves Tomb Raider enough to make a 15 minute temper tantrum video rant about it, then surely they can either find a way to get the XB1 to play it, or they can wait until it is available on the PS4 later. WAH! I can't play it on release day. Jesus Christ! I wanted to punch that guy. Yeah I can understand what you mean about his delivery. That's just his gimmick. His name is Angry Joe, after all. I think he does make some great points if you actually listen to what he says though. If this franchise was already exclusive to one system then this wouldn't be a big deal at all. However, to take a multi-platform franchise and suddenly make it exclusive to one system really is a slap in the face to customers and fans. This would be like suddenly announcing WWE2K15 is only available on Xbox systems from here on out. We understand Gears of War, Uncharted, Mario Kart, etc. are system exclusive games...and they have been from the very beginning. That's perfectly acceptable. However, they are making an incredibly poor decision here which is clearly going to bite them in the ass if it hasn't already.

Sony sold a crap ton of their Square's shares. Square wants financial stability. This partnership with Microsoft grants them stability and Microsoft gets a big exclusive title. It's a win win for both parties involved.

Releasing the game on Xbox, PS4 and PC means people who own all three systems can now purchase and play the game. By making it Xbox exclusive, only 1/3 of their potential customers can now play. This would be like WWE suddenly saying "we are only going to hold live events on the East coast of the United States. Sorry Midwest and West coast fans." I understand Microsoft paid them a good amount of money to make this exclusive. Business is business. I get it. However, it's still a poor business decision in the long run. Sure, they get a chunk of change from Microsoft right off the bat but when the game comes out and sale numbers suck they will regret this decision. PS4 has been outselling Xbox 3 to 1. This is a fact. That means three times as many people own a PS4 compared to Xbox. That's three times as many customers they could have purchasing their game. This isn't about Microsoft vs. Sony either. It's about simple economics and good business decisions.

Because with the money they get from Microsoft for this deal, they will make more money selling exclusively to XB1 owners for 6-12 months, then releasing it on PS4 (which is what is going to happen), than they would if they got no money from MS and released it on all platforms.

Well if they do make it a "timed exclusive" and eventually release it on PS4 then I see your point. However, if it remains an Xbox only title then I'll stand by my concerns.

It's already been admitted that it is a timed exclusive.

It's a win win for both parties involved. I would say it's a win for SE and not Microsoft. I think it's a poor use of the money by Microsoft for what is probably going to amount to a 4-6 month exclusive. They could have used that money for something else such as a new IP. Plus, I don't think many people with a PS4 are going to buy an XB1 for this game when Uncharted 4 will be releasing in that window.

I think it's wrong to take a multi-system franchise game and suddenly make it a single system exclusive title. Doesn't matter if it's Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Sega or Atari. If shoe was on the other foot I'd feel terrible for the Xbox guys.
