Because the market for Tully Blanchard figures was about a hundred people. They already knew the line was a flop and they were onto a loser so it wasn't worth producing thousands and thousands of figures nobody wants. Then, like the elite ring, people suddenly decided they wanted it because it became hard to find. The tag belts didn't hurt. But the secondary market for Tully is going to drop right out after they do a new figure with a classic tag title. The market must have been a lot bigger than 100 people Yeah, probably the audience was huge. That's why we're still getting new MattyCollector Legends figures every few months.

I bet we would be getting Legends every other month on Matty if people weren't so cheap. I know on the board there weren't many of us who were willing to pay the shipping with each release. God knows how many times I read on here something along the line of "$10 shipping is insane I'll wait until a few are released and order them together." Then the same people would complain when the next was released but they missed on the previous who would finally sell out. If everyone had ordered them on their release day the line would still be going on Matty. But because figures didn't sell out within 3 days (top) Mattel considered it a failure.
I ordered and have 3 Arn, 2 Tully, 2 Andre, 1 DDP and 1 Bundy. And 2 set of Rocker, but I got them from Mattel shop when they listed them by mistake.

You're making this sound like it's all our fault. Mattel are the ones who sold the figures with big jacked up shipping prices and all of their online toy lines (DCU, WWE, Ghostbusters, Voltron, etc) have died except MOTU. And next year will be its last. There is a demand for WWE Legends figures, but I can't blame anyone for not wanting to buy them from the Matty site. I bought all the Legends figures they sold but was not happy about the prices. So I have a Tully and I thought he was overpriced when I bought him. Now he's crazily overpriced.

Hell, being from the UK, the Legends on MattyCollector were cheaper for me than any other Legends I bought (except for a few that I got cheap on WWEShop). $30 including postage, when normally I was paying more than that per figure anyway. Elites cost the equivalent of $30 here now. I thought that was a great deal for a limited-run exclusive. I didn't buy Arn, Tully or Bundy though because I had no interest in them. In retrospect, I wish I had got them, but it's not something I kick myself over.

Well, we are partly to blame. They were $28 shipped. I see ppl drop that on pre-orders for flashbacks. Granted, Digital River was a horrible shipping service.....there wasn't much advertising for the Legends......and for $28 i should have at least gotten jackets w/ Arn & Tully. DDP's orange beard, Bundys legs and singlet that didn't fit right.....Liz's awful head. It wasn't without its problems. but if they had sold, that would be 6 extra flashbacks per year. We wouldn't have to wait for Doink or JYD in the Elite wave. Because we would have already gotten them. Yall pissed that we don't have Anvil? I bet we would already have him if the Matty Legends survived. if Matty can sell some randon Green Lantern figure i've never heard of.........or a made up figure from the She-Ra cartoon for 30 bux. We sure as heck could've bit the bullet. The chances of us getting someone like a Don Muraco are slim and none, without a subscription service

Not all our fault with Matty, because they did a horrible job of promoting WWE, DCUC and JLU on Matty. If you didn't already know about MattyCollector then you would have missed everything. There should have been some sort of advertising for all those lines on their mass retail packaging. A flyer or something, but they didn't so that also killed their sales. But for the people who know about Matty and voted for them didn't support it once it went on Matty. I voted for Arn & Tully and purchased multiples of each. Bundy while I wanted he wasn't one of my 5 picks un the vote. And I certainly didn't vote for DDP, but still purchased him. But there were plenty who did vote for him (multiple times) and didn't even buy him because they didn't like the shipping cost. And I have said this on these boards hundreds of times with Mattel and RSC shipping rates...being someone who was a driver for UPS for almost 10 years before I got injured it's the carrier companies (UPS/FedEx/USPS) that set the shipping rates not the shippers. It is the rates that the carriers offered them for their contracts with the carriers.

It is the rates that the carriers offered them for their contracts with the carriers. There are, unfortunately, a LOT of people who have no clue about USPS and UPS shipping costs. "Free shipping" has become such a widely used marketing gimmick among online vendors, big and small, which has only further skewed this. Bigger vendors obviously get better shipping rates, but they still pay something. In a lot of areas, margins are already slim on certain items; it's unfair to expect the seller to also take the hit on shipping.

I got all but Bundy from the Mattycollector website. To me it wasn't so much the $28 shipped that pissed me off but the fact that they'd take Andre down when DDP went up, so you couldn't save on the combined shipping. Then later Andre was back up. They did that a couple more times with the other releases. ing garbage. They hurt themselves badly trying to milk those extra couple bucks out of people. And like others have said the advertising was nonexistent, which has me worried if the DM line stays online only.

They didnt make that many of them. They already knew by the time Arn hit that the Matty experiement failed and thats why they threw Liz in the main line and just did a few Tully's because they were obligated to do it.

They made just as many as the others all of mattes stuff is produced together look at the date stamps. Big lots probably has them stashed in dark corner of their warehouse somewhere.

I have no idea how many were produced overall but I do know one thing for sure, one of them is standing upstairs in my house next to Arn Anderson with 2 beautiful classic belts around their waists.

I don't get why Mattel never made many Tully Blanchard figures Because the market for Tully Blanchard figures was about a hundred people. Then, like the elite ring, people suddenly decided they wanted it because it became hard to find. The tag belts didn't hurt. But the secondary market for Tully is going to drop right out after they do a new figure with a classic tag title. Normally I agree with you but the amount of Tully figures (which is few) that we see on Ebay that DONT have the Tag Title with them are still freaking 3 times retail price. Im dyin to get my hands on another Tully head for a custom but I cant bring myself to paying the price for a titleless Tully. I bet we would be getting Legends every other month on Matty if people weren't so cheap. I know on the board there weren't many of us who were willing to pay the shipping with each release. God knows how many times I read on here something along the line of "$10 shipping is insane I'll wait until a few are released and order them together." I bought all the Legends figures they sold but was not happy about the prices. So I have a Tully and I thought he was overpriced when I bought him. Now he's crazily overpriced. If someone wanted the Matty figures but didnt buy them, it is their fault they didnt last and that they dont have them. I never once bought anything from Matty Collector until the Legends figures came out. On more then one occasion PJ himself came on here and said exactly how Matty worked so its not like we didnt know what was gonna happen. The same people I see saying "Figures on Matty are too expensive" are the same ones that when a new pre order comes up says "I just bought so & so, cant wait" and 9 times outta 10 that figure is more expensive then the Legends were on Matty. If $10 shipping for a MOC Exclusive figure that comes in a special white box is too much, then yes I agree with PJ, they're cheap.
