Who's your least favorite kind of person you see at the gym? Mine are the people that do all their workouts in the mirror and bathing in the glory of how good-looking they are. How bout you?

People who try to needlessly distract others. During an athletics class I used to have they took us to a weight room, and as I'm trying to better myself there is always some jackass screwing around and distracting people.

Those "hip" guys who wear knit caps while working out.
When someone drops the weights on the floor on purpose.
Anyone on the track in jeans.
Campers on the machine I want to use.
And those who don't spray and clean when they are done.

I hate the super buff guys that work with the big weights and scream like maniacs. Once I was working out and this really jacked guy walks in with these mini shorts on. He walks over to a bench, paces around it for like a minute, sits down, and starts breathing really heavy. After like 5 minutes, he walks over to the dumbbells, grabs 2 100lb dumbbells, and throws them on the floor. He then proceeds to kick the weights over to the bench. He sits down and starts breathing for another 5 minutes, lays down and starts lifting. He does 5 reps and screams at the top of his lungs on each rep. He throws the weights back on the floor, kicks them back over to the rack, puts them away, and leaves.
I also don't like the guys who feel the need to come over to you and tell you how to work out. I'm just trying to stay active, you're bodybuilding. I don't need to be following your workout routine.

Just the people who don't wipe down the equipment.

The morons who act like they're working out, but really visit the gym to talk on the phone and check out the women.

I actually get the looking in the mirror thing...it's sort of a mental distraction for some - I know that's not everybody though & there are extremely vein people there but if I'm alone, I do it

People who slam down the weights. It scares the hell outta me when I'm running on the treadmill.

If you're doing a workout with piercing ease, it's normally that weight is too light or your form is horrid and needs a slight modification. Working out is a gradual learning experience, and to essentially increase the effectiveness of your workouts on a specific muscle group, it's great to try new methods every now and then.

Guys who drop their weights hella hard.
Guys who use a bench or machine I want to use, but take 4-8 mins between sets.
Guys that are in far inferior shape to me but insist on giving me tips.

I have a weight system at home so I don't go to the gym. Since I have a high metabolism I only workout for 30 min everyday and just eat food. The hard part is eating because there is usually not much to eat at my house. >.<

i also just work out at home so it avoids the whole issue - but in general with discussions about it people that annoy me are steroid supporters that don't respect a non user's stance, non steroid users that don't respect a user's stance, people that mistake appearance for actual fitness/health, and people who don't understand the difference between individuals expectations and performance levels and expect the same from others as themselves/vice versa.

People who have clue what they're doing. Pisses me off when I see some chubby, skinny or just average weight person walking around the gym and just using machines that all target different parts of the body. I was doing chest one day, and some dickhead had been using the leg and back machines on tiny ass weights and was taking ages on them, I needed to use the chest press machine to finish my workout and halfway through my last set on Dumbell Bench press this dickhead goes over and starts using that. Once again, tiny weights and he takes a heap of time. I ended up just doing another 4 sets of close grip bench press and I was finished before he was. Also people who don't re-rack weights.
They're really the only people who annoy me, I don't mind the grunting or weights being dropped as I normally have my music in and more focused on me than others.

I once saw someone sitting on a cycle eating from a 48 oz bag of Skittles.
Then they proceeded to leave and left their 48 oz bag of Skittles there.
It was recockulous.

Yeah, screw those skinny, chubby, average people trying to workout and using a machine that you wanted to use. I mean, why should those lowly people get to work on on the same machines as someone as super buff and awesome as you, even though they were at the machine first and obviously knew that you had dibs on that machine even though you weren't using it. Stupid chubby, skinny, average idiots don't even know they aren't allowed to work out their whole body and must separate upper and lower otherwise their whole workout is invalid and they might as well be at home eating ice cream like the chubby, skinny, average plebeians they are. Totally with you bro!

Lift at home crew checking in. Plenty of university gym experiences, though. -People who don't re-rack their damn weights properly. Holy all I want is a five-pounder but I have to remove three 45s to get it because it's all the way in the back holy . -People who see you squatting 135 lbs 45 seconds after you get to the squat rack, ask how many sets you have left (no problem with that usually), and then get pissed off when you say "about eight." -My second-to-last year, before the Crossfitters got their own Crossfit room, a group of them would hog, like, five barbells and two of the four squatting stations to do their workouts for over an hour. Now, not crap-talking Crossfit (as the book of Massthew says, "Thou shalt not declare yours the one and only True Path to Strength"), but those guys often did their high-rep technical lifts and dropped the bar on every rep (like the clean and press). It was loud as fudge. People who have clue what they're doing. God forbid that somebody new visits a gym! Hulking monsters like you don't need all these noobs around you. You were new once. No need to be a jerk. I don't really have any problems at the gym other than people that don't wipe the equipment and people that throw the weights down reaaaallllly hard. Those are the only types of people that bug me. But it's nothing major. I don't even visit the gym that much though since I got my own equipment last year.

Those morons that are a few years older than me and try to intimidate me and show off by using ridiculous amounts of weights and then not even getting the job done. Like this one guy walks up to me mocking how much weight I used and stacks up and then only gets 4 or 5 done while screaming like he's getting murdered. Just leave me in peace, I'll do however much I want and you do however much you want. Is that so hard?
