So tough to pick in this round, 3 really strong contenders.
3. Brutus Beefcake - jacket, shears that move, and a bow-tie along with a great outfit and scan make this a winner.
2. Volkoff - sweater and cap, and a burly body and spot on angry ugly scan make this a strong #2.
1. Orndorf - what can I say other than this figure is truly wonderful? Love the robe, and the white attire, head is spot on and the body is appropriately ripped.

This had to be maybe to me top 3 sets of the whole classic superstars series. I mean you can say each one of these figures are as close to perfect as can be. I voted for Mr. Wonderful due to what I believe is the perfect head scan for him. But you could really vote for each one of them.

Mr #1 derful by a ton !!! Sheik #2 and 3rd Funk the rest are pretty rough or average Beefcake good torso but horrible mullet , Bundy is lacking all types of weird crap going on and Mr Volkoff was jobbed and should have been easy horrible face and body and no blue stripe on trunks  But I will still rise and respect the singing of the Soviet National Anthem  |

While I was a huge Orndorff fan and I love the Mr Wonderful figure. (my friends used to call me Mr Wonderful back in the 80's-90's)
I always felt the Jakks scan was kind of feminine in the jaw line.

Funk for me. However, I  ing hate this set. A local toy store I worked at had Edge as a signing in 2005 as this set came out. We had had really good sales on classics 1-4 up until this point, and they saw dollar signs. In their infinite wisdom, management ordered in 100 cases of this set (which did not contain edge) for the signing. Distributors wouldn't take them back, leading to my store not ordering in classics for the next 3 years until series 18 owing to a massive backlog of Brutus ing Beefcake. Boo. Rant over |

Bundy could be improved by removing the hair and eyebrows, but the overall size was too big, did lot like the scan either, there has only been 1 spot on Bundy scan and WWF/E did not even make it, it was that legend of the ring line that totally nailed his scan and body type.
The sheik used the wrong torso
- Really like Funk, wish he would've come with a poncho and branding iron.

Tough call, had to pick Brutus the Barber Beefcake. My first wrestling figure was an LJN Brutus before I even knew who he was. If not him, then Orndorf or Funk. I wish I could just say all, as all were such great releases.

Can we call you Mr #1derful ?  The jakks works and the robe is great but the chest needed more bulk and The Mattel Head is a bit more spot on |

Bundy version without the eyebrows was horrible and looked like curly of the stooges with the hair stubble , wooh wooh wooh hey Moe hey Larry  |
