Hats off to Cena last night. No other champion in the history of WWE would have agreed to that beating. Could you imagine the ego maniacs like Bret Hart? Shawn Michaels? Austin, the Rock or Hogan agreeing to get their ass whooped the way Cena did? Not a chance, and thats what makes Cena the best. Im certainly not his biggest fan but fair dues to the guy for putting Brock over like that.

We'll never see a big main event like that ever again. And if we do, it won't be as shocking as the first time. Cena deserves a medal for agreeing to take that beating, and whoever came up with the idea deserves one as well. Wasn't a big fan of the match itself, but very impressed with how much commitment Cena and WWE (and Brock) put into that story.

That was awesome, intense, and shocking. What an end to a crazy PPV.

Unlike most in the IWC or at the Staple Center, I would've been quite happy if Cena scored a victory over Brock Lesnar. I wish the match would have been more competitive BUT I totally love the story the Brock & Cena told. I don't know who can be considered a legit challenger to Brock. But anyone that puts up a fight versus Brock will be elevated.

Hat's off to him, he took some really nasty looking suplexes in that match. I might be sick of dude on my TV but he's tougher than this entire board combined to take the two absolute outright unadulterated ass kickings he's taken from Brock and for that, I respect him.

After Summerslam went off the air, the crowd booed Cena out of the building and serenaded him with the goodbye song. Either everyone is tired of Cena, or Brock is just that awesome. In celebration of this awesome day, here's a nice little shot of the Beast.

In fairness to Cena, it probably made him look better by being absolutely dominated by Lesnar, than it would for him to of had a standard back and forward Match and being beaten clean just coming up short. The way it went down, all the focus went on Lesnar and how dominant he is, rather than Cena being weak.

I know what you mean. I had posted that I wished Lesnar would break his neck and I was chastised by the mods. Hats off to Cena for agreeing to take those bumps! Know what I don't understand?
He comes back faces
Cena & Cena gets dominated at ER 2012
VS Triple H in 3 matches which were all pretty much back & forth
VS Punk in an awesome back & forth edge of your seat match
VS Taker at mania in another back & forth
Then VS Cena again & Cena gets destroyed....
How come all the other guys atleast put up a fight, but Cena is just Brock's b*tch

Taker hit his big moves in what retrospectively looks like it was out of desperation. Beyond the Chokeslam and the tombstone that match was almost all Brock. Not in the fashion that this match was but it was still pretty one sided. The earlier matches could be cited as still recovering from Diverticulitis while his match from the Taker one onward would be Brock at 100%

Why wouldn't Brock Lesnar do that to John Cena?

I agree that it was a spectacle to see that beating.
But...
Cena getting destroyed still doesn't come close to the awe and shock of Undertaker getting his shoulders pinned to the mat 1-2-3 at WrestleMania. Regardless of part time and his age, Cena, and other main eventers to come, can take a decisive beating as such. But the streak can only end once, and if it weren't for that 1, then the Cena and Lesnar match wouldn't have meant what it did.
I applaud Cena for doing the job. By getting his ass beat decisively. But it all started with Taker. I 100% want Brock to demolish everyone and hold the titles for A VERY LONG TIME and when he loses, I expect a classic, very electric atmosphere and match-up.

I was happy to finally see John Cena take a beating, but I posted in my blog review of the show that I have to commend him. I can't think of another top guy who would've agreed to that. You know that Hulk Hogan's ego was too big to agree to that and the same goes for Triple H, 90's HBK and others. He knew that he HAD to take a beating and he did. Kudos.

Betcha Hogan would never have lost like that in his prime. Or Austin in his.

I'll give respect where it's due to John Cena. He took a heck of a beating last night. But please people, let's not fool ourselves into thinking this was anything but another way to make John Cena the most awesomest, bestest person who ever did live. Last night was nothing but a way to make it seem like Cena can't beat Brock and thus "Shock The World" when he "Overcomes The Odds" and beats Lesnar in the rematch (which will probably happen at Hell In A Cell) to regain HIS title. Lesnar's not going to hold it until WrestleMania. Lesnar's not going to work a bunch of extra dates between now and then. And WWE's not going to make a brand new mega star out of whoever beats Lesnar for the strap. It'll go back to Cena the same way it always has and always will until he retires and WWE is forced to find someone else.
I desperately hope I'm wrong. I'm begging WWE to have it be anyone... ANYONE, except John Cena who takes the title from Lesnar. But I'm ready for the inevitable and I suggest you all prepare yourselves for it too.

Still can't believe the main event went down like that. I expected Lesnar to win, but not in that manner. Holy wow...

I don't think Lesnar's contracted to work Hell in a Cell though, so #16 might happen at Night of Champions.
