As expected, former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio appeared during Sunday night’s AAA’s TripleMania pay-per-view in Mexico. Del Rio appeared in the opening segment and used his new ring name – El Patron. Del Rio’s father Dos Caras Sr. was also with him in the ring. Del Rio cut a promo and claimed that WWE was racist and said that although he’s no longer working there, he still has pride and dignity. Konnan and his heel stable came out and tried to take out Del Rio but he took them all out.
Rey Mysterio also appeared via video package at the very end of the AAA pay-per-view saying he would be seeing the AAA fans “soon”: That basically confirms that he’s leaving WWE as soon as he’s able to.

wow, kind of a shocker. Rey has been a WWE guy for the past 12 years. I wonder if Rey is actually going to wrestle again in AAA, or just be there in some other capacity?

How do we see this? What happened to the no compete clause?

How do we see this? What happened to the no compete clause? It's Mexico, they don't give a crap about laws and contracts.

How do we see this? What happened to the no compete clause? He's not allowed to work for a promotion in the US that runs television, AAA doesn't compete with WWE right now. Once AAA starts running shows on readily available American television it'd get into the realm of breaching no compete clauses. As for the Rey Mysterio deal though... Not sure how he got away with that one.

Could this be a show of support for Del Rio? I would bet he wasn't happy with the way WWE handled that incident.

While it's not surprising to me that Mysterio is likely on the way out, I am surprised he'd take a gig elsewhere. I honestly thought he was just going to hang it up. The guy is falling apart and he's just tarnishing his legacy at this point.

Pretty disappointing reaction from the fans and in general for Rey. Never gave any less than 100%, was a great worker for years and rolemodel to younger fans. Now is the time though.

Rey does not have the wellness policy or the WWE doctors to hold him back in AAA, he will look great upon his debut, as will Del Rio

Rey's better days are long behind him. To be expected from a guy with his style and moveset.

Kalisto > Mysterio. Don't believe just watch. What kind of comparison is that Kyle? Mysterio is 37, having faced many knee injuries, of course he doesn't stack up to a kid who is ten years younger. I don't think he's going to compete in the ring anymore, I for one just don't want to see him. He's a legend and a future hall of famer. I like that he's going back to Mexico for his final run.
