Real men don't need to convince chicks of anything. Finally. I've never had to convince anyone of anything with my hobby. I have a shelf of loose figures. Not a single girl has ever taken off running or even mentioned them to me. Likewise, buddy. If they can't get past something like that, they're not worth being around to begin with.

The debate of the century, it would seem. Also, as far as the opposite sex goes, my lady buying me D-Bryan is what got me back into collecting after stopping in 7th grade. F haters, male or female. They need to see the episode of Seinfeld where they get the girl drunk, so they can play with her dad's toy collection! My Wife bought me a Daniel Bryan for Christmas of 2013. The flood gates opened after that.

Keep it in your back pocket and if she ever gets fed up with your collection...you make sure and remind her that she was the one that opened this monster.

I never understood collecting MOC with the plan of re-selling later on for profit...why not buy stocks? Maybe they see figures as stocks. Sure there are peaks and valleys with their value, like stocks. Same thing goes for comic book collectors, record collectors, wine collectors, The Collector from the Marvel universe, etc.

Oh don't worry, I've screamed it at her a few times. Then she reminded me that I said I was only going to collect Daniel Bryan. Then it was updated to Daniel Bryan & CM Punk. Then it was updated to Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, and a few guys I like. Then it was updated to Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, a few guys I like, and anyone I could get my filthy mitts on.

As a grown man, I'd feel strange having a bunch of loose figures lying around. It would be harder to call them collectibles and not toys. It would be near impossible to convince people (especially chicks) that I don't sit around playing with them. You don't have that problem when they're moc. I also prefer the look of moc figures displayed. Real men don't need to convince chicks of anything. You'll have to get a chick before you know. I've been married for four years but if I suddenly opened the packages of my hundreds of wrestling figures and started playing with them, she'd leave me in a heartbeat. And I wouldn't blame her because that would just be a weird/ sad and pathetic thing for a grown man to do. I would be mortified if I had to hear her day to one of her friends, "he's down stairs playing with toys".

I don't play with them. I open them up and find a spot for them. Same way you would find a spot on your shelf, wall, whatever for your MOC figures. How does one constitute "playing" while the other doesn't. You're arranging your figures either way you slice it. Also, if that's enough for someone to pack up and leave you I would guess its safe to say you have no other endearing qualities.

The difference is that it's obviously physically impossible to play with toys that have not been removed from the package thus, nobody would even have reason to suspect that. A bunch of loose toys on a shelf would look like they've been played with and will be again as soon as nobody is looking. By the way, I'd leave her too if she started playing with my little pony dolls. She's thirty years old for Christ's sake.

So you love someone enough to marry them but that all hinges on her liking dolls? If she happened to enjoy dolls you'd move on and divorce her? Weird standards for a relationship. That's the opposite of love. Can we all go back to discussing pros & cons of MOC vs loose? This was actually a very interesting thread for a bit there.

When you are at a store and buy a figure do you pretend it's not for you? And why would you care what other people thought if they saw a loose collection? That's a shame that you are so worried about what others think of you. Do I play with them? No although I do have a few that I do change the poses on every month or so. Do I care what anyone thinks about my collection? No, because I collect for me so I couldn't care any less what anyone thinks.

And why would you need to convince chicks of anything if you're married? No wonder your wife was upset when I saw her the other night. I've never had a nemesis before. You seem like a worthy candidate. But that's because my standards are so low.

What people who've had limited experience/success with opposite sex don't realize is that it's ok to have preferences. I prefer chicks who aren't losers that play with dolls into their twenties. I'd still smash one depending on if I'm attracted to her, but I wouldn't wife one up. In response to the other poster, I absolutely do give consideration to what other people think about me. I enjoy collecting but if professing that fact conflicts with other things I enjoy liking having my pick of girls to slut out, then I'm not gonna announce it. It's the same reason I go hard in the gym. Hoes like a dude with abs so as much as I'd like to sit around eating cake or whatever it is losers are sustained by and not care about what chicks thought of my appearance, caring is what let's me have my pick of hoes. So, to get back to the topic of the thread; if you prefer the look of loose figures and genuinely don't mind being perceived as a weirdo and how that might affect other prospects, then go for it. I've had similar problems with locating figures on cards are themselves mint. My only piece of advice in that regard is to be patient.

Weird how you assume the rest of us have limited experience with women (solely based on our preference for loose figures). Looks like you're projecting again. You know nothing about the women I've been with (none of which cared that I own figures. Probably because most people wouldn't care if someone else had a hobby that wasn't their particular interest). Also because my collecting hobby doesn't define me as a person. Nor should it define anyone else, but you obviously believe otherwise since you pigeon hole some of us here as "weirdos". Also, nobody here cares how hard you go at the gym. Good luck with your "hoes" who love abs and strictly MOC wrestling figures.

Nothing for nothing but if you really care about what people think about you maybe you should think before you type because you are coming off sounding like a real winner. I'm sure your wife is very proud of your opinion of the opposite sex and how you want to slam them. Also doesn't shows much respect for her.
