I'd say Ryan Reynolds is pretty much everything but officially announced for the 'Deadpool' movie.

Just finished watching Days of Future Past, and it was surprisingly good. Although the ending of that film lends perfectly to continuing with the modern day X-Men. I have no idea why they're going down the past X-Men for Apocalypse. Berry and Famke look old as the hills man......they really do. I know they needn't include them but The studio(correctly IMO) wants to pursue Fassbender as Magneto instead of the frankly ancient McKellan. Now I know they needn't use Magneto either.......BUT they seem reluctant not to.

Fassbender is a great Magneto, but the rest of the "main" First Class cast are so much worse than their older counterparts. IMO the best parts of First Class were the fighting bits with Ice Man, Bishop, Colossus, Sunspot etc. There's an awesome movie waiting to be focused on that younger cast with a few of the older cast. Having another movie based on Young Charles, Young Beast and Young Mystique is a huge turn off, when none of them really portray their characters well at all (Charles is alright for how they are portraying him, he's a good actor but he doesn't feel like Charles... Like at all). Havok was barely in DOFP, and they killed off Banshee off-screen for whatever reason.

I believe FK was touched up with CGI for that appearance.....she has aged incredibly badly compared to Marsden. I was REALLY disappointed that Emma Frost & Banshee were killed offscreen. Azazel and Salvadore I didn't mind but these two bugged me. January Jones was being a bitch during 1st Class filming but I wanted Emma to return in the form of Alice Eve. I also love Lawrence as Mystique so Im glad of that direction. Hoult is inferior as Beast-no doubt but I'm hopeful about the new cast etc. We should be finding out who they are very soon

And to be honest I wouldn't really want her to be a heavy role in the x-men films moving forward, a cameo/small role would suit her fine after being in the first few very heavily. Marsden was barely in the 2nd and 3rd X-films, and he's a pretty damn good Cyclops so I really want to see him with a sizeable role again. I know Jennifer Lawrence is a popular actress. But to me she's no where near as good as Rebecca Romijn was as Mystique. Something about her doesn't embody the character as she should. Romijn looked kinda bad a couple years ago, but she's been looking better recently. I thought January was a perfect Emma, when he said about her being killed too I was pretty mad, as she was a highlight of First Class to me. She nailed the role 100%. Apparantly some of the original cast will have roles in Apocalypse so it'll be interesting to see who. The Kelsey Beast cameo was the icing on the cake in DOFP lol.

I have heard that Patrick Stewart may be in XM:Apocalypse.....although I'm confused as to how that will work. After DOFP's success I doubt Fox will interfere with Singer now and he will be able to do whatever he wants.

I've seen every X-Men movie in theaters and aside from XM3 and the first Wolverine movie, I enjoyed them in theaters. However, once I re-watch they all go to sh*t for me. It's taken the steam out of any future releases.

Just watched TWS; I had forgotten how good it is.
I also never realized that the content of Cap's notebook from the beginning of the film is different for every country, really cool little detail.

I noticed that too the first time I seen it.....I reckoned it had to be different area to area. Although it doesn't make much sense when you think about it. Still......a VERY minor nitpick in an EXCELLENT movie.

I see that GOTG has an estimated December 9th release date in Ireland & the UK......I really hope this one is true. Also I wonder will there be a one shot on the Blu?
Fox has also lightened the burden on my pocket by revealing(oldish news) that DOFP will have an extended cut coming next year.....so no need to buy the Blu this November!!

It has been confirmed that Bryan Singer will return to direct X-Men: Apocalypse, the 2016 follow-up (May 27th to be precise) to the hugely successful X-Men: Days of Future Past. While his involvement was expected, there was some doubt due to some serious allegations which were made about the filmmaker. Regardless, the deal has now closed according to Deadline and a variety of other reliable sites. Simon Kinberg will be back to write the movie, based on a story from Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. The site also have the first plot details, and the synopsis of sorts reads as follows: "Apocalypse takes place a decade after Days of Future Past and is a seamless next step in the story. The altering of time has unleashed a new and uniquely powerful enemy. Charles (James McAvoy), Erik/Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) are joined by young Cyclops, Storm, Jean and others as the X-Men must fight their most formidable foe yet – an ancient unrelenting force determined to cause an apocalypse unlike any in human history." There's already speculation that we'll see Channing Tatum's Gambit introduced in this movie, while the introduction of some familiar faces like Cyclops and Jean Grey is sure to be welcomed by fans. The fact that they're making the ramifications of the altered timeline the reason for Apocalypse's emergence is very interesting too. IM very much looking forward to X-Men:Apocalypse.
I look forward to his intro & backstory & am intrigued by DOFP being the trigger for his awakening.
Im also interested to hear Fan Bing Bing will be back as Blink....& that Singer will be using a younger Nightcrawler.

Also using a young Storm, Jean Grey, and Cyclops.
I'm not worried about anything other than how they use Apocalypse.

Ditto man....Apocalypse is a fave of mine and Im pleased Singer has been throwing around the Avengers when it comes to the scale of the action..... BUT I do worry about Apocalypse in terms of portrayal both visually and in how he is used. The DOFP post credit scene could have benefited hugely from En Sabah Nur having his distinctive mouth...which is pre modifications because he was born with it..... Apocalypse in the modern day has to be in his armored form folks. Also heaps of people(elsewhere)moaning about how Nightcrawler & Gambit will fit.ages of Scott etc. Like JJs Trek....DOFP reset everything....Prof X got shook in DOFP...maybe his recruitment plan is more Proactive now that he seen one possible dystopia?

Yeah, I truly don't understand the confusion or dislike for DOFP. It literally fixed everything that went wrong with the X-Men Franchise. You can still go back and enjoy X1, X2, etc.. But only First Class and DOFP are relevant after DOFP. Past Charles had a talk with future Charles. That's the game changer, he saw everything that could go wrong. And who knows what else past Charles got to look at during that conversation.. Considering we're getting Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Storm, etc.. He quite possibly knows exactly who he needs to bring in.. The cool thing about DOFP is that no matter what happens with the First Class crew from here on out, the end result is Wolverine waking up and walking into Professor X's office.. Poor Wolverine is the only one that has to remember all those sh*tty sequels, lol.. But I do think we more than likely saw the original X cast in DOFP for the last time.. Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Daniel Cudmore, Kelsey Grammer, and even Sir Ian McKellen. Unless Singer is planning a gigantic 3 hour Age of Apocalypse type blockbuster here, other than Patrick Stewart possibly showing up, the rest are probably done with the X-Men franchise.. I can understand the age thing, I get that.. But Apocalypse is probably going to take place quite a few years after the events of DOFP. With rumors of McAvoy going bald and the likes of Storm and Cyclops coming in, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a late 80's early 90's era.. Remember people, X-Men 1 came out in 2000.. So mid to late 80's even will be perfect for the age concern. But who knows really.... To round about to our beginning topic.. Apocalypse can not be a slender blue mutant from Egypt with extraordinary powers throughout the movie, and I think Singer is aware.. I'm excited for the story, I'm excited for the cast.. But if we aren't dealing with gigantic, armored, unstoppable, Apocalypse in this movie, I'm going to be extremely let down. Extremely let down doesn't even describe my true disappointment for it actually. Apocalypse isn't a one off character either.. You do not defeat Apocalypse in one movie.. Apocalypse is the X-Men's Thanos.. Or should I say that Apocalypse is Fox's Thanos. They need to take complete advantage of his character... We should get to see Archangel tho, so that's nice.
