LOL, I love it personally.. Robert Downey is such a smooth, charismatic human being that even when he trolls, it's adorable! This was my theory on the whole situation I posted on the last page, but just for you Joker I'm gonna re-post with a few minor add-ins to see what you may think of this theory. Far-fetched, or quite possible? He could be "trolling" everyone to stir up fan feedback and use it as a negotiation tactic against Marvel Studios.. They could have possibly entered early negotiations for a fourth Iron Man film (he was real quick to recant) and Downey was pulling this stunt because he clearly has ran out of s to give.. And after the overwhelming positive feedback he could just roll in to the studio meeting and say "see, this is what the people want", then he could just name his price for a 4th film. The only reason I think this could be a strong possibility after this whole ordeal, is because of the insanely immense challenge it will be to replace Downey, Jr.. Especially after this stunt he just pulled by confirming he's totally on board for a 4th.. And in the public eye, the movie goers see Iron Man/Tony Stark as Robert Downey, Jr, and he just excited everyone by "trolling" this announcement.. And the biggest challenge Marvel Studios will ever face is replacing him.. Basically ask yourself this.. What happens when the cornerstone star and top dog of the MCU publicly confirms his want and desire to continue playing the character, only for the studio to say "nah, we're gonna recast his role after 'The Avengers 3'?.. It could sour alot of fans and really hurt future projects from Marvel....(to be continued..) I had SO much more to add that I just deleted because I'm exhausted.. Maybe I'll share it after I've had some rest, LOL.

Pics from Daredevil shown at NYCC. The black outfit is something he wore in the comics before he had his actual DD outfit. He will likely get the red suit as the series progresses. From the Q&A panel.

Yeah I'm sure this black suit is his "tryout gear" like Bruce in Batman: Year One

It's the very first thing he wore in the Frank Miller & John Romita Jr. re-telling of the Man without Fear comic. It's spot-on to what he wore.

Maybe we will end up getting the Civil War storyline. Which if the rumors of Sony and Disney pairing up to put Spider-Man in the MCU I hope it happens soon so Parker can be a part of it.

Which in the end makes that Avengers 3 rumor alittle more true. Avengers 3 having new Avengers members, with Avengers 4 having Thanos.

CIVIL WAR IS HAPPENING!!!!!!! READ! Marvel never fail to surprise us, and Variety are reporting that Robert Downey Jr. is about to sign a deal which will bring Civil War (or at least the start of it) to the big screen in Captain America 3. The site reveals that the movie will kick off a new phase for Marvel Studios and that the follow-up to Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be in addition to Downey's prior commitment to a third Avengers movie, hence why a new deal is being negotiated. According to their sources, his role was initially set to be very small - with only a few weeks of filming required - but the actor wanted to take on a larger role, something which apparently angered eccentric Marvel Entertainment Chief Ike Perlmutter, who ordered the screenwriters to write Iron Man out of the script entirely. This was soon resolved however, and kicking off Civil War here will "drive the plots of sequels and new franchises for the next seven years" as Tony Stark's actions will have huge ramifications for a FOURTH Avengers movie which will possibly see the likes of Ant-Man and Doctor Strange assemble as a new team. Downey will earn $40 million for his role here (plus backend), so it's obviously a major deal for him and should really shake things up for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The storyline of the movie? It's sticking pretty close to the comics by the sound of things as they add that, "the plot will pit Stark against Captain America’s alter-ego Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, as they feud over the Superhero Registration Act, which forces anyone with superhuman abilities to reveal their identities to the U.S. government and agree to act as a police force for the authorities. Stark supports the program, but Rogers does not, saying it threatens civil liberties, causing sides to be taken and Rogers, among others, to go on the run to avoid arrest. The moral question and battle with his Avengers teammate essentially makes Stark a villain of sorts in “Captain America 3,” providing Downey with a meaty role he could play out into future Marvel films, including a fourth “Avengers.”" Could this be why there's all that talk of Spider-Man being rented out to Marvel? Will 2016 see movies called Batman v Superman AND Captain America v Iron Man in theaters? How do you guys feel about this news? Be sure to share your thoughts below. Read more at www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=109212#wBXhL6E9p3zEjmXV.99Hot on the heels of news that Robert Downey Jr. will be joining Captain America 3 to finally kick off the Civil War storyline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Badass Digest has dropped some additional details as well as major spoilers for next year's Avengers: Age of Ultron. You've been warned! In addition to hearing that Civil War and Fallen Son are being considered for the Marvel threequel's subtitle, the site reports that Downey's scenes will require 30 or 40 days of filming. As for Age of Ultron, there will apparently be lots of destruction and a huge fallout. So huge in fact Tony Stark will be retiring not only from the team, but possibly also from being Iron Man, all due to him feeling responsible for Ultron's actions. Furthermore, it was previously revealed that Steve Rogers will be leading a new team by the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Badass Digest now reveals hearing that "the team is Falcon, War Machine, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Black Widow, as well as probably The Vision... [but] I have been told Black Widow will not be much of a presence in Cap 3." However, despite Age of Ultron being in post-production for months now, the scene in which Cap's new team is revealed hasn't filmed yet, so that roster could change. Moving along, the site insists that Chris Evans' Super Soldier will NOT be in Avengers 3 because "the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be in a tough, dark place, with the heroes scattered and defeated" by the end of Captain America 3, and that will carry over to Avengers 3. Will Cap meet his end in his fifth outing? Possibly, especially if Fallen Son really is the Cap 3 subtitle. Anyhow, Badass Digest goes on to drop one last bombshell: Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo are apparently in talks to continue and flesh out their Civil War storyline in Avengers 3 by taking over directing duties from Joss Whedon. And given they are in good with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, the sibling duo is also in talks to helm the fourth Avengers movie, which the mad titan Thanos may or may not be the main villain of. What do you think? Captain America 3 releases on May 6, 2016, while Avengers 3 is expected to hit in 2018. Soo this pretty much confirms that the original Avengers crew will not be facing Thanos in The Avengers 3, and the new Avengers crew will face Thanos in The Avengers 4. This is bullsh*t.. This isn't a surprise, this a a giant ing let down.

This is awesome. I'm so on board, with this.
RDJ in Cap 3...
Civil War...
if they do Secret Wars concurrently, that allows us to get to know the 'new' Avengers before Thanos in 4...

If the original Avengers aren't facing Thanos its an insane stupid move by MS. I cant believe for a moment that they would legitimately go through with that?
I mean surely not? Cap, IM, Thor & Hulk must face Thanos.....they MUST. let it be in Avengers 3 or 4 but these 4 must be on the team.
on the news about Cap III? If they do an abridged Civil War movie? I'm all for it.

If anything, Avengers 3 won't be with Thanos so the cast would be back for Avengers 4, with Downey extending his contract and if Capt doesn't appear in Avengers 3, then he'll be in Avengers 4.

I think Thanos will be so imposing that it'll require any and all Avengers. I say relax. They'll all be involved in the Thanos fight. Perhaps by then they'll even work Spidey into this and once they're all together...perfect set up for Secret Wars.

I am all for them doing the Secret Wars and extending the contracts of the current top actors (and giving the future team lots of screen time so we end up caring about them) but I am with a lot of the people in here when I feel that the main Avengers from the first movie need to take on Thanos whenever the final battle with him is going to go down. I don't see why they can't as well as the new people. If so then basically it makes Thanos look really bad ass because it took like two full Avenger teams to defeat him. -----------------------BTW here is an article discussing the top 6 actors in the running to play Dr. Strange now that Joaquin Phoenix declined the role (stupid decision imo): www.ign.com/articles/2014/10/15/ewan-mcgregor-rumored-for-doctor-strange-roleUPDATE: Variety reports that McGregor is just one of six actors in the mix for the role of Doctor Strange with the other five being Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey, Jake Gyllenhaal, Episode VII's Oscar Isaac, and past rumored contenders Ethan Hawke and Oscar winner Jared Leto.Marvel Studios is reportedly considering Ewan McGregor to play the title role in Doctor Strange. According to Badass Digest, Marvel Studios is “looking at him," and McGregor “has been preparing for the role – doing the usual research actors do when looking at taking on an adaptation or existing character." Marvel’s focus turned to McGregor, known for his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, after talks ended with Oscar nominee Joaquin Phoenix to play the Sorcerer Supreme. Phoenix was reportedly uncomfortable with the contractual commitment from Marvel as well as the nature of production on its visual effects-heavy movies. Doctor Strange is slated to begin filming in early 2015 with an unconfirmed summer 2016 release. ----------------------------------So if this is indeed true who do you all want to be Dr. Strange?
