I guess Manu was supposed to be in an assortment at the end of the WWE ruthless line?
There have been innumerable TNA figures that never saw the light of day. There was a wave 1 Cross the Line Booker T, yanked and replaced with Kevin Nash, a whole second wave of Legends of the Ring figures that looked amazing including Scott Steiner, Samoa Joe, Jim Cornette, AJ Styles, and someone else. There was the purple repaints of Beer Money Inc. as well as Jesse Neal and Shannon Moore, several Jeff Hardy repaints, Tara, and Andersting x at least 2, a bitchin' AJ Styles with the LOTR 1 of 3000 scan and black and gold long tights, and I'm sure many more still.
I really hate that Juvi wasn't released. That's my first time seeing Manu and that sucks he didn't come out since Mattel didn't make him either.

Manu was supposed to come in a two pack with Randy Orton but they ended up replacing him with Triple h.

Am I imagining it or was there a DA Jeff Jarrett in MMA gear proto? Or did that get released? Yeah, he's in the background here:  That's the best pic I could find of him. For me, it's certainly these two:   I keep hoping that I will find one that slipped through the cracks somewhere. |

Yeah, that McMahon scan is terrible but I do enjoy the concept. All they needed was a better scan and IMO it would have been pretty decent. There have been a few figures that we've seen a proto for and never an actual figure. Tara is one that comes to mind. Her figure looked promising...it's a shame it'll never see the light of day.  This figure would have been amazing. Arguably Tara/Victoria's best headscan, and even if the fig was outdated I really wanted them to release it. |

Just found this and my jaw dropped  Sandman was supposed to have been included in CS 21. However, it wasn't released due to licensing expiration and not other reasons. CS-wise: - Blackjack Mulligan - Arnold Skaaland - Bam Bam Bigelow (gray flames) - Brian Pillman (blue trunks) - Linda McMahon (have seen the actual prototype) - Vader (black singlet) - LJN-style Batista - LJN-style Randy Orton - Sandman (USA flag pants) - El Matador (RA-style) - Powers of Pain (red face paint - Mr. Fuji (suit, no face paint) - British Bulldogs (RA-style light blue tights) LOTR-wise: - Scott Steiner - Andre the Giant - AJ Styles - Jim Cornette - Samoa Joe These are all names that have had prototype made and pictures shown (at least I've seen them). There are many other names that were scheduled to be released but no prototypes have ever been seen/shown. |
