Attorneys for CM Punk reportedly sent a 22-page letter to WWE over royalties and use of his likeness, specifically him being featured in the WWE 2K15 video game.
The belief is WWE stopped sending Punk royalty money over their claim that he breached his contract when he walked out on the company at the beginning of the year.
As far as Punk’s inclusion in the new WWE video game, apparently the roster for the game was put together before he quit the promotion, even though it was just announced two weeks ago.

If this is true, it shows more than ever that he won't be coming back.

Punk is a little bitch, the company is functioning just as well without him as it did with him.
He needs to get over himself.

Pretty sure WWE is in the wrong here. They use his likeness, whether he walked out or not, they owe him royalties.

WWE will more than likely counter sue and win. It's his own fault he took his ball & went home...you didn't see Austin trying to sue when he did the same thing back in '02.
I just wish him and his little wife would go away altogether.

Funnily enough, if they make a huge deal about this, I could see 2K delaying the release of the game, just so they can delete the Punk-Cena rivalry from the game mode.

I like Punk, but seriously? You walk out on a company you have a contract with, and you forfeit rights to any money after that. At least that's the way one would think legal contracts work.

He's making a very dumb decision here. He breached a contract............I love Punk but he just punched his ticket to the blacklist and for no good reason considering he legally made a worse move and now financially may have.

Assuming this isn't BS, something seems a little off. I can't honestly see Punk suing the WWE when he knows they could easily counter sue and cause Punk to lose a portion of his money that he plans on living off of. Either Punk's walkout was somehow not a breach of contract or his Attorneys are idiots.

Man, if this is real, Punk is in for a rude awakening. IF IT'S REAL. Because WWE will win this.

If this is true, it shows more than ever that he won't be coming back. This means nothing. Brock Lesnar sued the WWE to get out of a six-year no compete clause. Years later, Lesnar came back to the company. Punk is a little bitch, the company is functioning just as well without him as it did with him. He needs to get over himself. I agree. WWE will more than likely counter sue and win. It's his own fault he took his ball & went home...you didn't see Austin trying to sue when he did the same thing back in '02. I just wish him and his little wife would go away altogether. I can see the WWE winning this case. There is a reason why WWE contracts are legally binding agreements that have to get notarized. At least Steve Austin swallowed his pride. CM Punk hasn't and won't ever swallow his pride like Austin did. I loved you mentioned little wife. You made my day better after reading that.

The actual source is Meltzer. Meltzer is a wildcard. Sometimes he gets it right, sometimes he's lost in space.
