So I know we saw this figure a few years ago near the end of the Legends line but it has yet to be released aside from a couple that showed up on eBay a long long time ago. (Assuming stolen) Why do you think Mattel hasn't decided to release it In any of the FB spots? I know we could've done without some repaints in favor of this. Sorry if a reason was already given I'm not aware of.

Id rather have repaints then a 3rd Austin in "casual" attire At least it'd be something different from the 3 versions in black trunks. We've gotten so many Rocks why not one more Austin.

No clue. INB4Magnumtacommentswhenhewouldnthavesoldatallatretail Kinda like Pillman, Bulldog, Rock and the rest of Series 3 didnt sell at retail...well it did, at dollar general for $8 Id rather have repaints then a 3rd Austin in "casual" attire At least it'd be something different from the 3 versions in black trunks. We've gotten so many Rocks why not one more Austin. Id rather not have 3 black trunk Austins either...But those were pretty much straight re-releases, not repaints. Id much rather buy Elite 19 HBK, DX HBK and then say something like Teal Summer Slam HBK over an Austin in shorts.

Mattel offered it to RSC as an exclusive but RSC decided to go with Austin's horribly undersized ring gear body instead.

While I would buy it I would much rather have the Magnum TA.

They're leaving money on the table by not releasing ol' Stone Cold as a flashback. His figures always sell really quickly, I think his most recent one (signature series) was actually the hardest Mattel figure to find in the last 2 years or so.
I hope they change the headsculpt if they do release it, though. Either to the RSC one or a new one... Sick of seeing those same two near-identical heads on all of his other figures.

Bill said in a Q&A once that the only Legends that sold well were Rock, Austin, Savage, & Warrior.

I actually wanted the Big Show from that series and hoped it would go on clearance but that seemed to sell really quick too.

Id rather have repaints then a 3rd Austin in "casual" attire 4th technically if you're counting the basic. I'd love to have this Austin but I'd also love another DDP with a better headscan and jeans.

His RSE head is awesome too imo. I'm not sure why they haven't used it over again, unless they are saving it for a future FB release.

I think it's probably because it's an unusual expression for Stone Cold.

I think it's probably because it's an unusual expression for Stone Cold. Yeah, which is a fair point. I personally love that they went with the sh*t eating grin on him. It makes me think of his comedy stuff with Kurt Angle. But the serious look is a far more common look for him so I get why Mattel would default to that L1 head, even though I don't think it's as good of a likeness or as accurate in scale. Not saying it's bad but I don't think it's as good personally.
