I dont agree at all with that. Selling a BAF as a flashback would work just as fine as any other flashback because they appeal to the same buyer. As for current guys like Zeb, Ricardo and Heyman, they sold fine by all accounts. So i dont buy your argument. I can go around town and buy like 5 Ricardos right now, and multiple Heyman packs. A Heenan or Jimmy Hart would sit around forever, just like the Jakks Mr Fuji did. Managers and such are limited to BAFs because they traditionally do not move at retail as regularly packed figures. This, to me, is very striking. I am amazed that there are even retail stores where white carded figures can be purchased, let alone the only figure from a set (Ricardo) that was extremely difficult to find. Same with a figure like Colter, always the first gone from the case, the one time I did see one at retail, I was in another state. There really are no Heyman packs hanging around here, and I would place the desire for single release basic managers on equal footing with Diva figures; generally the first gone, and with few rare exceptions (Rosa), hard to find, even with multiple case sell-throughs. I would think that a basic Heenan or Hart would sell to the same crowd as a basic Heritage Guerrero, Steamboat, Bret Hart, etc., all of which have had absolutely no trouble being sold. From the BAFs we have gotten, Cole, Ricardo, Heyman, JR, Teddy Long all would have sold, or did sell just fine. I would question Johnny Ace, and maybe suited Booker T, but with the minor amount of tooling needed on suited figures, they could be added to a battle pack easily, as Heyman was. Three per case JR basic with a SCSA, one per case Teddy Long with Mark Henry, two per case Heenan with Andre/Rude/Flair.

I shouldn't have to, its common sense really... At this point you're just being argumentative for the sake of being argumentative which is both pointless and unbecoming behavior for a moderator Not really, I'm just stating why I like the Build A Figure series...

Would I like to just by the fig straight up at a reasonable price? Yes. Would it save me time? Yes. Would it save me money? Yes. Do I think it makes sense for mattel to discontinue this promotion? Absolutely not. It is, as they say "best for business." I don't think that never ending pegwarmers are "best for business", but hey, what do I know?

No, you're not. Again, don't buy them then. No one is forcing you too. You're just repeatedly being antagonistic for no reason. Nothing about your posts says why you like them.

Its like people who complain about Raw but still tune in each week. Besides, I already stated in my first post why I liked the Build A Figure series and why they should stay.

You have said the exact same thing repeatedly since your initial post, making them useless and unnecessarily antagonistic for no reason. If you have to say "like I said" or "again," at the beginning of your post, it's an unnecessary and pointless post that serves no purpose other than for you to be an antagonistic dick and technically a troll. BAD MOD BEHAVIOR. You said your piece and have added nothing to the discussion or topic at hand since. You don't have to repeat yourself. Your initial post is still there. We can still read it. You've said nothing new since then. Your continued posting is pointless

I disagree that we'd never see these figures otherwise. That's rubbish. Then why did we get basic Vickie and Ricardo?

If you don't have anything to add to the discussion, you don't need to bother posting. It's a waste of bandwidth and a waste of everybody's time.

I disagree that we'd never see these figures otherwise. That's rubbish. Then why did we get basic Vickie and Ricardo? Not everyone wants a Basic figure though, I'd rather have an Elite. We'd never get Michael Cole in the Basic series and probably even John Laurinaitis. Vickie, Ricardo, Heyman etc are all pretty much guaranteed to be getting a figure outside of the Build A Figure series because of the amount of TV time they get. If you don't have anything to add to the discussion, you don't need to bother posting. It's a waste of bandwidth and a waste of everybody's time. Then whats your excuse for the constant replying? This thread was going fine before you had to get your two cents in. I reply to someone's comment about the prices and you cry mod abuse. Get a clue.

I'm not crying mod abuse at all. You've said your piece and done nothing since but repeat it and be antagonistic for no reason. That's all there is to it. By continually repeating your same post, you've contributed nothing. You should have left this thread four posts ago since you've added nothing new since. Sure, you responded to somebody's comment about prices. And then you said it over and over.
Your unbecoming behavior has nothing to do with mod abuse and everything to do with you being a bad poster. You probably won't ignore this, but I will be ignoring you.

Main reason I am not a fan of BAF is that it's almost impossible to find them for retail price for most international collectors.

Nope, I love the Build A Figure series. Price doesn't bother me either. You can't afford them? Simple, don't buy them. Theres no way we'd see Michael Cole or John Laurinaitis in the Elite or even Basic line so I'm all for it. At the same time though, John Laurinaitis should have a Defining Moments figure or even an entire series dedicated to him. Who in the even wants a John Laurinaitis figure to begin with?

It's a good way for Mattel to get people to buy 4 repaints. Not a BAF fan.

Its a money burner no doubt about it. Twist of lime is right when he says if you cant afford it dont buy it. I certainly wont be buying them. Though i would buy the BAF as a mass release at retail on its own. So...its one for Mattel to maybe rethink hopefully.

It's a good way for Mattel to get people to buy 4 repaints. Since the BOPPV line took over from the 2010-2011 WrestleMania series, the elite BOPPVs have never been 4 repaints. BOPPV spring 2012 (Cole): Cena -- not sure. Triple H -- repaint. Daniel Bryan, Bret Hart -- not a repaint. Fall 2012 (Ricardo): Punk, Big Show -- repaints. Miz, Michaels -- not repaints. Spring 2013 (Johnny): Sheamus, Cara, Cena -- repaints. Christian -- not a repaint. Fall 2013 (Heyman): Cena, Lesnar -- repaints. Bryan, Punk -- not a repaint. Spring 2014 (JR): Orton -- repaint. Axel, Punk, Del Rio -- not repaints. Fall 2014 (Corporate Kane): Cena, Bryan, Wyatt -- repaints. Undertaker -- not a repaint. Main reason I am not a fan of BAF is that it's almost impossible to find them for retail price for most international collectors. Eh, not so much. Depending on the series, the UK, Canada and a fair part of Europe gets them at retail, and the international retail prices are so high that it's often cheaper for international fans to buy from a US seller on Ebay or the classifieds here anyway.
