So about a week ago, I noticed some weird red marks on my ankles when I woke up in the morning. And I figured something bit me, maybe a mosquito, or possibly a spider, being I get these weird greenish clear looking spiders in my place at times. The biggest one I have ever seen has been around the size of a nickel (including legs and body) so I am never really too concerned.
Anyway, it's been a week and these bites have gotten worse and itchier. Almost a burning feeling. Tuesday I found the culprit. It wasn't one of those greenish clear spider, but this giant brown looking spider about the size of a quarter, if not bigger (maybe even a size of a Canadian loonie). So suffice to say, I stepped on that f***** and killed him!
Today I finally went into the doctors, and now I am on medication - antibiotics at that - which is just cream ointment I have to put on the bites twice a day. But still, this damn spider clearly did this, and clearly left poison in the bites on my ankles.
And people wonder why I am scared of - hate - spiders with a passion.
Anyone else have any weird spider stories?? Including bites, or just random freak out moments??

Spiders are in my house all the time but they don't cause much trouble. I hate them though, creepy!
There's always some kind of pest getting indoors. A few years ago it was these brownish orange lady bug things. They would bite all the time.
Now we have way more trouble with camel crickets. Google those when you aren't eating.

Want some nightmare fuel? Google "Brown Recluse spider bites".
But I always enjoy the reaction of someone walking through an unseen spider web.

I had 4 spider bites on my legs a few months ago. One is a scar now I think. Three made a perfect triangle.
They were hot aand prickly but I just used ointment and went on with my business.

I was out doing yard work one Sunday afternoon and was bitten on my neck. I went to work the next day, and it was getting progressively worse. Swelling up, red, itchy. I had headaches, and was light headed. I went to the bathroom, and noticed I had a rash all over my torso. I googled the symptoms and most said it was a brown recluse bite. I hightailed it to the doctor and they confirmed it. I was scared as hell, because brown recluse bites can be very very bad. Seriously, don't google them. Anyway, I was on steroids and antibiotics for a week and thankfully it cleared up and didn't even leave a scar.

Give it some time, you're eventually going to fight crime and become Spider-Man!

I always walk through spider webs and freak out. This is especially common because I'm always in my basement working on stuff. I also get the occasional spider that descends from the ceiling straight in front of my face. I haven't had a freak out moment in a while that is until today. I always leave my bike behind my brothers garage when I go visit him and as I was putting it down I see a huge spiderweb and spider right there. It was brown and hairy about half the size of my hand. Needless to say I ran away as soon as I saw it.

First thing I thought of when the OP said it was a brown spider, was Brown Recluse. Those things are just nasty. I just sprayed a ton of Bug Barrier around my back door and patio. I was starting to get some web builders setting up shop. That's a nope.

Man do I have a story about spider bites.
I was on a school trip to some sort of bio engineering lab and as we went by the spider expo I saw a pretty girl. Naturally I had my camera so I asked to take a picture of her. She allowed me to, until something better came along. Suddenly, I feel a bite on my hand. I didn't worry too much, but by the time I got home I was feeling kind of sick. The next day at school I accidentally shoot some white fluid out of my hand and nail a quarterback with a lunch tray. This big ass son of a bitch wanted to fight, and I'm like nope. I'm high tailing it. He catches me at my locker and throws a punch in slow motion, and apparently I know Judo so I flip him. I run out of school and hide in an alley, where I discover I can climb walls. My smart ass decides to squirt some more fluid out of my hand and swing on it like a rope. With my skills I decide to become a pro wrestler, and my first match is against some big macho dude, oh yeah dig it. I win, but the promoter stiffs me on my pay. So when the guy gets robbed I'm like screw you dude. The robber goes on to kill my uncle so I chase that mofo down and he has a little accident. In honor of my uncle I decide to wear a Spider outfit and save the world, and it's all because of a freakin spider bite!

I've gotten a couple bites recently, nothing too major. I definitely hate them and I always seem to run into webs around the house.

Every summer my house gets ants and spiders. I ing hate ants simply because there's always an army of them every morning in our kitchen and killing them can be a tiring. Usually I let the spiders go as they kill ants I don't think they do any harm. Well recently I let this one spider live in my bathroom and after a few days I find this huge white egg. o.o So I grabbed it with a napkin and flushed it. Not making that mistake again.

yeah last night we were out my mates back, having a few drinks then this huge ass spider runs up the wall behind me, he wouldnt fit inside a pint glass so we had to get a pyrex bowl, then a bit later another smaller spider did the same thing, but we killed that one in hope of sending a message.
