I own a lot of basics that I don't really need. No big regrets, though. There's not many really bad Mattels. Oh god this. Yes. So many basics that could have gone unpurchased lol.

Early into the Mattel contract I was planning on buying all the Basics as well. Now I just get Elites and have a drawer full of early Basic figures that don't get displayed.

Basically all of them, at this point. Something like 120 figs. Been meaning to try to sell most of them, just haven't gotten around to it, yet.

I don't regret buying any figures, but I do regret the prices I paid for some!

I am just getting back in and bought a lot of basics, as i really had no clue what I was doing. Now that I know what I am doing a little bit, I only buy elites unless its a basic that really blows me away.

My go-to answer is still Elite Shad.
Not so much regret but one figure that hasn't quite aged well is Elite 5 Dolph Ziggler. It just feels... old to me.

Basic 41 and 42 all (well I think I bought five of each) Two-packs series with Punk/Ryback, Matadores, Rhodes Bros Elite 29 Punk and Harper Elite 28 Bryan
Just because I'd have got them all cheaper in the Smyths 20% off everything this weekend.
As for figures I just generally regret buying, it's usually the ones where I buy the basic and then the elite comes out with the same head and outfit. So I regret the basic 42 Batista now I have the elite, but I knew that was going to happen when I bought the basic. Or when I buy extras to do a swap or fixup paintjob, and then a new figure comes out that's the fixup I did/was going to do.

I regret picking up Matty Collector DDP at first. I paid 50 for it because I thought I was never going to be able to get one. 3 weeks later it's on rsc for 19.99...horrible

I usually regret buying first time in the line basics as I end up buying the elite and having a basic figure I don't want to use as the elite is usually better.

I regret buying many basics. Not that they're bad, but it knew I would always end up getting the elite of a superstar too. For example, basic fandango. I knew I was going to get the elite no matter what, but I just randomly decided to get the basic too. This is true with all my Wyatt's, shield, and more. Not that I don't mind having them, but I should've saved some $$$ for other figs instead of buying the basics, when I knew I'd be getting the elites too

I regret every battle pack I've bought except for the Usos and Bellas.
Also regret buying Sin Cara because I don't appreciate the character.

I regret having to buy all of the tru basic baf's. I thought about it the other day and I wouldn't have bought one single figure from those sets if I didn't need them to build a fig I wanted. Also I bought the basic Drew McIntyre in the same set as the 1st aj, because I was still sore about not buying his elite when tru had all of elite 8 when e17 was already out, but I've since gotten it. Also I regret buying the Leonardo with the shell that opens up instead of a dusty Rhodes hasbro when I was 6

My regret is when I buy a figure of "x" wrestler, and then some waves later these guys at Mattel comes with a better one. Example of this would be the first elites of John Cena vs. his elite 18 and up. The same to figures like LOD, Orton, etc.

It's always down to impulse buys, need to be more patient and know when to just bide my time

Not regret, but there's a few figures I would have passed on if not for the fact that they were packed in 2-Packs with someone I did want. Both Hornswaggles I have are because they came with Chavo and Finlay, but I would never purchase a single carded version of Hornseaggle. The Battle Pack Series 2 Miz that came with Morrison and the Carlito from the same wave were also two figures I would have never purchased if they were singles. And there's been a couple Cena figures as well that I wouldn't own if not for who they were packed with. Yes indeed....now there is something I can relate to. Red/Black Sheamus that came with WM5 Ultimate Warrior Christian that came with Chavo Guerrero(already had Christian from the Dreamer 2 pack) Punk from the Gallows 2 pack And I'm SURE I'm forgetting somebody I also have basic Cena's in Red & Purple that I wouldn't have bought single carded either but both came with folks I wanted. Cena that's coming with RR91 USA Warrior will also make this list.

Only two figs I regret Brock from the heyman two pack and Sheamus from the warrior two pack
I got nothing against sheamus but I already had an elite of him, and the brock was a bland fig.
