I received Starlord (masked) from Amazon a few days ago but i'm a bit confused....why is he not a bobble head like the rest of the Marvel pops?
Mine is just like any other normal Pop figure, every other Marvel pop i have is a bobble....

Did you buy it from Amazon or a third party merchant on Amazon?
If it's a third party merchant, you probably got a bootleg figure. It's not uncommon sadly and some bootlegs are nearly imperceptible from genuine FUNKO produced figures. I would imagine Amazon gets their stock from reputable dealers, but a third party merchant could get them from anywhere and could have easily taken advantage of a super deal when the GOTG Pop!s were hot without even knowing the difference. Look very closely at the packaging markings (on the bottom of the feet) and compare them to the other Marvel figures in your collection.
As far as I know, the only marvel Pop!s that are not bobble-head are either fake or prototypes (actually, I think even the prototypes tend to bobble-heads too).

Well it looks like I've been screwed. It was a third party merchant, i never encountered this before so its very odd to me.

Yeah, then I'd venture to say it's a bootleg for sure. Luckily, Amazon is really good in a situation like this.
First thing you do is to contact the seller and tell them you know it's a bootleg because ALL Marvel (and Star Wars) Funko Pop! figures are bobble-heads due to a licensing issue. It would also help to have any other backup to that claim, such as any spelling mistakes or major differences in the box (though there might not always be any as some factories who make these bootlegs actually buy one authentic one and copy everything on the box exactly or even use authentic boxes they've stolen) or any wrong/different markings on the figure itself. But, honestly, the fact that it's a Marvel Pop! and not a bobble-head is a dead giveaway.
Give said seller the benefit of the doubt for now. A ton of sellers don't even know the difference or are unaware about the bobble-heads for Marvel and Star Wars Pop!s. To them, it's just something they make a few bucks on by being a go between for manufacturers and collectors.
Allow at least three business days for the seller to respond (I usually give them a week, but three days is pretty standard). It's the seller's mistake for selling a non-genuine product, so don't think for an instant that you should ever have to pay for return shipping if the seller wants it returned. You ordered an item in good faith and it's the seller's responsibility to deliver on that order. They failed to do that by sending a bootleg figure. And whether they were aware of that fact or not, the onus is entirely on them to rectify the situation.
If you don't hear from them or their reply is unacceptable to you, by all means either call or e-mail Amazon about the issue. I've generally had good experiences with third party merchants on Amazon, but the few times I've had a problem that they either never replied to or refused to fix, Amazon always helped me out (usually by offering me a full price refund, which they'll then charge to the seller's account). They will track anytime you open a complaint against a third party seller though, just to cut down on people who abuse the system by opening claims on orders that don't warrant it. But worry not, you're certainly does warrant such a step if it becomes needed. Most of the time, whenever I have a problem, the seller fixes it well enough (I've only had to open five complaints in about ten years of buying things from third party merchants on Amazon, so...).
Bottom line, it' might only be one little Pop! figure, but there's no reason you should have to lose out on the deal.

Protos are bobbleheads as well.
The only Marvel figure that is not a bobblehead is the Logan figure (Marvel #28). There was apparently an issue at the factory where these were being made and they didn't know the figures were supposed the bobble, so the heads were sealed up like normal Pops.
Like Quazimoto said...you got a fake. It's weird that it's the masked Star Lord though because that figure is still going for retail. The Amazon exclusive unmasked Star-Lord is going for about 30 bucks though. Hmmm. Maybe it was stock from when the GOTG Pops were selling like hotcakes. Someone might have faked it then and it just now made it's way out to you.
Either way, sorry about your luck. It should be easy to exchange though.

Been looking for this one for awhile. It magically, randomly came into my store, so I didn't have to dish out an arm and a leg to get it.
