Before he could say anything, he is interrupted by his children, Shane & Stephanie McMahon as well as Paul Heyman and the commissioner of the alliance, William Regal. Shane says that he's had enough with the back n forth fighting and that it is finally a time to put an end to everything in a winner takes all battle. Shane wants Vince to grab his 5 top guys, to go up against the alliance's 5 top guys, with the winning company staying intact, and the losing company going out of business for good. Vince says he's destroyed his competition before, and he'll do it again, so the match is official. Vince says he knows someone who won't be on Team Alliance though, because this morning it became official that a certain individual had switched sides, and signed with the WWF, and that man is the new World Wrestling Federation Champion, Rob Van Dam! Rob Van Dam makes his way down to the ring with both the WWF Hardcore, and WWF Championship around his shoulders, grinning at the alliance leaders who look on in disgust. Once inside the ring, Van Dam tells the crowd that a dream came true last night when he won the WWF Championship, and he's going to make sure that the WWF comes out on top at Survivor Series so that he can keep defending his newly won championship. He goes on to say that while he wants to be a fighting champion, he's been advised that its in his best interests to not allow the environment of the hardcore championship effect his chances of losing the WWF championship so he has to sadly vacate the Hardcore Championship. Rob hands the Hardcore Championship over to Vince, who then says that this is not bad news for the fans because they will now get to see the crowning of a new champion right after the break in a Hardcore Championship 10 Minute anyone can enter battle royal.
- WWF Commissioner, Mick Foley and Alliance Commissioner, William Regal are arguing in the Commissioner's office over office space, and Foley points to his game of connect 4 on the desk and suggests that they play a game to decide who gets the room. Regal responds to this suggestion by throwing the game of the table. Foley says that was uncalled for the two start arguing again where Foley tells Regal that because of him, the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, Billy Kidman will be defending the title tonight against Regal's former protégé, Tajiri.
- During the WCW Cruiserweight Championship match, William Regal tried to interfere on behalf of Billy Kidman only for Mick Foley to run down and even the odds. During the distraction, Kidman was caught off guard with one of Tajiri's lethal kicks allowing the Japanese Buzzsaw to pick up the victory and the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.
- The cameras turned to the back where where Shane McMahon was losing it in the Alliance locker room over RVD defecting to the WWF. Stephanie and Heyman try to calm him down, and Shane says he wants RVD tonight in the ring. He says he's going to show the rest of the Alliance what happens if they ever think about joining RVD in the World Wrestling Federation.
- Kurt Angle and Edge are backstage where Angle i congratulating Edge on becoming the new WWF Intercontinental Champion last night at No Mercy, while Edge says it was hard luck to Angle that he didn't become WWF Champion in the triple threat. Angle says it sucks but he's just glad because of Vince McMahon that the WWF Championship is now back in the hands of the WWF. The two men are interrupted by Christian and WCW United States Champion, Rhyno. Christian remarks how this is a reunion of sorts for Team RECK, but it's a shame that Rhyno and himself have to kick their former friends asses tonight in tag team action.
- Test & Booker T interfered during the Dudleyz vs Brother's of Destruction match, allowing The Dudleyz to hit the 3D on Kane to pick up the victory. Following the match, Undertaker tried to come to his brothers aid only to receive a running big boot from Test. The Dudleyz joined in on the attack only for the WCW Tag Team Champions, The Hardy Boyz to run down and make the save.
- A graphic appears on the screen announcing that because of tonight, and their constant back n forth arguing and fighting that at Survivor Series, WWF Commissioner, Mick Foley will compete in his first match in over a year, to take on the Alliance commissioner, William Regal.
- During the main event match where Rob Van Dam took on the owner of World Championship Wrestling, Shane McMahon, the bout came to an end when Steve Austin hit the ring from out of no where and dropped Van Dam with the stunner. Van Dam struggles back up to his feet while Austin taunts him, seemingly setting him up for another stunner only for Austin to point behind Van Dam, who turned around to be met with the WWF Championship being smashed in to his head by Shane McMahon. The show ends with Shane McMahon dropping the belt on Van Dam as while raising Austin's arm and announcing that Austin will captain Team Alliance at Survivor Series.

Rob Van Dam as WWF Champion is perfect. Just like you. Well, maybe. I'd love to see a Mick Foley versus William Regal thing happen at Survivor Series, especially after the connect four debacle. Would be golden. I liked some of the tag team action going on but there might have been too much? I dunno. We'll see what happens down the road with that. I am glad, however, to see Stone Cold Steve Austin be the captain of The Alliance and stunning RVD to conclude the show. Not the biggest fan of the format but everyone seems to be more interested in doing it, and if it leads to more activity on the board and keeping people interested I'm just fine and dandy with it. Interested to see where you go, especially with RVD as WWF Champion.

This looks great so far, I really hope that the end of Survivor Series ends in a draw, and WWF has one show and WCW/ECW has the other, kinda like a draft, when Rumble comes along etc 15 WWF guys, 15 from the Alliance, winner faces their Champion, WWF or WCW lol?
