It doesn't look all that great to me, it looks a little too thin for Foley and the facial expression is rather dull. I ended up buying the CS 1/3000 Toyfare Mag exclusive, instead, whch has a better face, imo, better accessories that are relevant to his character, a cloth shirt and the "bang bang" hands. Of course, it didn't help being priced out of getting the Mattel version. I was looking to buy one, but never pulled the trigger, and now it's going to cost nearly £50 - almost $100 to buy one, and there's no way I'm paying that for it.

The Mattel is far superior to the Jakks. Sounds like you're just sore that you can't afford the Mattel one.

It's one of my fave RSC figures along with Austin, pink Bret and Macho King.

Great scan, Great attire and Great accessories. BANG! BANG! Barb wire bat, barb wire board and trashcan > ring steps, handcuffs and stop sign. The Mattel's accessories are pretty poor for a higher priced exclusive. The Mattel is far superior to the Jakks. Sounds like you're just sore that you can't afford the Mattel one. Far superior? In what way though? It's not as far as I see. Also, no "soreness" either... I'm glad I didn't buy the Mattel one tbh. Oh, and I can afford it, I'm just not paying that kind of silly money for it... the RSC Austin and SES Punk, it is not.

I think the Mattel scan is much better. While the Jakks version may have a cloth shirt...it just doesn't look very good. Jakks never really perfected cloth attires. Finally it's the body. I find Jakks bodies to be absolutely laughable, and poorly engineered.

I love the Mattel one, but I fixed mine up with taped hands, a jakks barbed wire bat, and a Ralphs flannel. I never liked the shirt sculpt they used on that jakks one.

It's all opinion. I think the Mattel figure is better but to each his own.
I will say that I do not at all think it is too thin ... Foley was actually pretty lean in the earlier days. I know neither figure is era-specific but the Mattel looks more "early days" and the Jakks looks more "latter days."
Also, I may be in the minority but I prefer the molded shirts to the cloth ones. The cloth ones always look ragged to me.

The Mattel is far superior to the Jakks. Sounds like you're just sore that you can't afford the Mattel one. That's debate able. I think the Mattel one goes for a high price because Mattel didnt make that many of the figure and prob wont make another ever again. I think Mattel has been a great company for scalpers, they make few figures of the characters people actually want and they short pack them. So when the figure first comes out if you buy multiples it's almost a sure thing you'll make some money off of reselling it later on.

Certainly not "early days" by any definition. It's not even accurate because the head sculpt has a full beard for some reason?? It's certainly too thin for any popular era of Foley. The Mattel figure definitely pales in comparison to the Jakks one.

I love mattels version but yes, Mattel could've taken some notes from jakks. Jakks bang bang hand sculpt is epic, the cactus jack cloth shirt is better and the scan has that maniacal look that captures his character. Only thing Mattel wins is the articulation, but even the rubber shirt limits that. So your choice isn't bad at all, some just tends to praise Mattel and give them too much credit. It's all just preference.

The Royal Rumble in which, I feel, HHH was so jealous of the match Mic Foley had with the Rock at RR1999 that he asked Vince to repeat the match with Mic and HHH to try and get HHH over like the Rock was.

some just tends to praise Mattel and give them too much credit. Exactly. One need look no further than that new basic Flair to see Mattel making the exact same mistake everyone says they hate Jakks for. Not that Jakks should be relevant to most discussions as Mattel have been making their own figures for five years and making a lot of their own bad corner cutting and parts choices.

I'm worth you to be honest. I know there are a bunch of people who enjoy it but I was never really impressed by it and have zero interest in getting it. It just seems a bit bland in expression and not the most exciting of attires or figures of foley.
By no means am I trying to argue for one company over another, but the classic cactus jacks from jakks were awesome. Loved the smooth arms and unique hands plus the really spot on headscan. But they are different attires.

I think the scan is great, and I love the way they sculpted the hair. He's a tad thin sure, but the arms were a solid choice and I like the attention to detail.

The head on the mattel is... eh. It obviously is going for a serious foley, but I don't think they nailed the expression all that well You know what, scratch that. The expression on the mattel is spot on. He is def too skinny. I like both the same but don't really like the plastic shirt either. I'd get both if I could.
