On Tito Santana meeting Reba McIntyre in the aisle at Wrestlemania 8 Heenan "That's his sister." Monsoon "What?!" Heenan "That's Ariba McIntyre." Monsoon "Will you stop??!!" This gets me every single time. Bless Heenan. Also, from the 1992 Royal Rumble, I love how he goes from praising Roddy Piper for helping Flair, "I love ya, it's not a skirt, it's a kilt." Then like, 10 minutes later Piper is hitting Flair and Heenan changes to "You no good rotten...it's not a kilt it's a skirt!" I recall him hitting a low blow and Heenan covering it up with "Oh, Flair tried to pick him up." |

He was so good on commentary, he made the Royal Rumble 1992 match incredible.

Well thanks to this thread I now have hiccups. Pretty much anything he said during the 1992 Royal Rumble match is brilliant.

I started watching wrestling around 1997 so i didnt get to see him commentate growing up. I however always looked forward to seeing him induct people into the Hall of Fame, always made me laugh. I wish he could still do that, JBL is the closest to matching him in funniness in inductions

The Brain was so entertaining across so many years of commentary, it's hard to pick down just one or two great lines. Perfect/Hitman Summerslam 91 Brain: "Perfect! Relax, don't put your hands on the ref!" Gorilla: "If he gets a DQ your guy Perfect keeps the title!" Brain: "Nail him!" "Bartender, get Stu another jeritol on the rocks!" "When you were 5 years old your parents ran away from home!" His commentary during that match adds to the greatness of it. You have Hart and Perfect putting on a great wrestling match, and then you have Heenan putting his genius into the match with his commentary. |
