Tons of news sites are reporting that Courteney Cox is working on a new sitcom about middle aged women who have children by "artifical means", starring herself, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow. This link has more deets: www.inquisitr.com/1527131/courteney-cox-new-sitcom/So, I'd probably watch it (or at least give it a go). But if they're going to do that, they just as well do a proper Friends Season 11 (or film or whatever).

Friends itself wasn't even that great. Let it be.

No thanks. Friends itself wasn't even that great. Let it be. If it wasn't great, why is it in syndication? For its time, Friends was a very good show. The series finale of Friends is one of the most watched finales in American television history.

The quality of a TV show does not dictate whether it is syndicated. Any series with 100 episodes will likely be syndicated. In fact some shows only get extra episodes so they can meet the syndication requirement. According to Jim had eight seasons, was that great too? As for Friends being popular....well yeah, duh. That doesn't mean I have to find it good though. Even if it was the greatest show ever, it ended 10 years ago, it had 10 seasons worth of stories, the characters all reached their natural end. Why dig up the body?

From JokerFC to Jennifer Aniston
Jen...you are doing really well at the movies now Princess and have found your niche in comedy. You do NOT owe Cox a damn thing.....so do not let her drag you into this nonsense. Please heed my words Jen.
Cox hasn't entertained me since Season 4 of Friends......so this one doesn't do a whole lot for me. I am surprised Aniston is doing it to be honest.

This is a thread about Friends and this new show that's going to be similar to Friends. If you just want people to gush over the show and the new show then create a Friends Appreciation Thread. In the meantime, I'm going to keep expressing my opinions about topics that are the basis of threads. Deal with it. EDIT: Oh and I don't mind Friends. I just think it's completely overrated by this generation.

This is about a new show, that happens to star friends alum. You did immediately derail the thread.

Okay, so you're saying this thread isn't about Friends even though the thread title is clearly listed as "New Friends Reunion. Kinda."? If you didn't want Friends to be brought up, why call it that? And then why say you'd rather have an 11th Season of Friends? You're not making any sense. Basically you don't like it because I somewhat insulted your precious little show. This new show will just be trying to recapture the success of Friends and it won't work. Friends is over, let it remain dead instead of digging up the corpse.

The series finale of Friends is one of the most watched finales in American television history. I wish I could travel back in time, with what I know now and my own cogniscance of adulthood to a time before the internet to see if people used the notion of popularity as a barometer for quality before everyone had their own personal soapbox upon which to stand. I'd have to take the shoes off of everyone in my office to count on fingers and toes the amount of god awful shows that hit syndication.
