That is great news! But how can they both work on the same license at the same time, providing the same size toys? Are you sure those aren't 12" figures?

No it clearly says 1/12 scale on the card at the display in the pics, and perhaps Mezco's license doesn't include classic versions? Who knows. On the flipside of this amazing MK news, Ultimate Source is now saying the Killer Instinct figures will be 9-inch, which sucks and destroys my interest in those. But oh well, I'm way more interested in classic MK figures anyway.

The figures from Storm look great. I'm guessing they will be high priced. I saw the Mezco figures at fye, but they didn't interest me enough to buy.

I didn't know they were even making anything, but that would have been cool to have in 4" or 6" form. Also, another random topic but speaking of being letdown by a license, the Seinfeld figures.. I wish those weren't cartoony and vinyl

Just looking at the Storm Collectibles figures in more detail, it seems to me like the Sub-Zero/Scorpion sculpt is like a combination of MK1 and MK2.
Take the black hood for example, on the figure it's not quite as loose as MK1 style but not quite as tight as MK2 style. And while the facemasks displayed on the figures clearly are MK2 portrait-images based, the alternate facemasks at the figures feet look more like the MK1 and the in-game MK2 look style. Also the kickpads/kneepads look more MK2, but the sash/belt looks more MK1. Hmmm...
Although initially I was disappointed these weren't 100% accurate to a specific game, I'm now beginning to really like the combined style. And something I didn't notice before - I LOVE that they have a chunky look to them! It really works for the characters, even though the original actors weren't overly muscular.

Exactly, 12-inch collectors get premium quality pieces like Hot Toys and I really wish we could see more franchises getting premium quality 6-inch and 7-inch figures. Actually aiming for the BEST figure they can make, rather than cutting corners everywhere and finishing with something mediocre.

The Klassic figures look cool. I really like the look of Mezco's MKX line, it'll be nice to have old school MK stuff to display with it. I'm wondering how well articulated they'll be; the various clothing bits on the ninjas have always hindered the articulation as of late, and it's tough to tell on Goro since he appears to be just a mock-up.
I'd expect about the same amount of articulation between the MKX and Klassic lines, based on eyeballing it.
Has this company made 1/12 scale stuff before? I've never seen anything from them along those lines.

Just saw Raiden, Scorpion, and Sub Zero at TRU this afternoon as well.
I had wanted to get them, but I'm just not blown away enough to pay $21.99 a piece for them. Had they been $14.99...maybe even $16.99...I might have gone for it, but I just don't see the value.

I've been trying to find out about the 3 3/4 figures (was a big fan of the Gears of War figures) and want these but can't find them listed. Have they disappeared?

New photos of the 6-inch Storm Collectables line from New York Comic Con!! I am seriously in love with these!! SOURCE: news.toyark.com/2015/10/08/nycc-2015-bluefin-mortal-kombat-112-scale-figures-from-storm-collectibles-177912Great to see Goro in proper articulated form. The new head (snarling) looks awesome too, I like that a lot better than the serious one, though it's nice to have the choice. I notice the alternate "cloth-style" masks for Sub-Zero and Scorpion aren't displayed here (but were shown previously). I hope that doesn't mean they aren't being included anymore. But then Scorpion's spear accessory (which again was shown previously) is also missing from the new display and I can't see them not including that. Plus they're showing two Goro heads here so it wouldn't make sense for him to have 2 heads and the ninjas not have 2 masks. Shame they didn't show any brand new figures but as long as the line is moving forward I'm happy.
