Smoke came in today. Plan to order Ermac tomorrow.
That will leave me only the cyborgs and raiden and possibly shao Kahn.
Reptile, noob, and OG scorpion are too pricey for regular size ninjas.

It's a nice figure but I'm not a fan on non MK characters taking up spots. This. Give me my damn kitana and mileena first. I've always loved Spawn. This figure is a must have

Sektor came in Monday, cyrax coming tomorrow. Very happy I've been able to catch up on this line with the exception of the crazy expensive ones.

Managed to cut my needs list down to Smoke Ninja and Reptile. I'm on the fence about chasing the BB*T*S versions. Some do have some cool extras.

Storm Collectibles tweeted a pic teasing their MK3 Unmasked Sub-Zero. This was one of several figures (along with MK1 Johnny Cage, MK2 Kitana, MK2 Liu Kang, MK2 Mileena) that were previously shown in prototype form, then strangely not seen for a while. So great to see Kuai Liang's face return to the schedule, hopefully the others aren't far behind. Personally I wondered if their disappearances from the schedule might be related to likeness rights, since none of the (human) figures previously released actually showcased full faces (so wouldn't reasonably have required licensing of likenesses). Obviously Johnny Cage and Liu Kang don't wear masks, and while the Kitana and Mileena prototypes were masked and didn't show unmasked face options, considering the infamous limited market appeal of female action figures, it's not much of a leap to think that Storm would probably have had alternate unmasked heads in development for those to increase market appeal. So I think it's quite possible the delays were/are related to likeness rights. Hopefully the conclusion will be that the figures eventually appear with successfully licensed actor likeness, rather than arriving with more generic, cartoony looking headsculpts to avoid licensing fees, or worse still never appearing period. At this point it's not really clear what approach Storm is taking in regard to licensing of likenesses, since MK3 Unmasked Sub-Zero looks quite like John Turk, whereas unfortunately MK2 Raiden looks nothing like Carlos Pesina. Personally I really want all the figures to feature the original actor likeness and was really disappointed with the MK2 Raiden reveal for that reason, but we'll just have to wait and see I guess. EDIT: Looks like the upcoming Raiden has an MK1-ish look hidden under his blue shirt, so the figure could vaguely be considered an MK1/MK2 2-in-1 figure, similar to how the original ninjas vaguely covered both MK1 and MK2 with the interchangeable masks. Though unfortunately there are a few inaccuracies that prevent either being completely true to both games. For example MK1 Raiden didn't have the upper arm plates (which it seems are not removeable) and his top was not the form fitting robe fastened high up that is represented on this figure, it was a loose fitting shirt with a large low plunging neckhole at the front, as can be more clearly seen in MK1 behind the scenes set photos. Still it's a cool little extra option for those that want it, and personally I will be displaying him MK2 style anyway. Attachment Deleted - Attachment DeletedEDIT2: Storm have announced their SDCC exclusives - MK11 Klassic Scorpion and a red version of MK2 Raiden

Full galleries of 4 upcoming Storm figures: MK11 Klassic Scorpion & MK2 Red Costume Raiden - news.toyark.com/2020/07/15/mortal-kombat-sdcc-2020-exclusive-scorpion-and-raiden-by-storm-collectibles-393949MK3 Motaro - news.toyark.com/2020/07/22/mortal-kombat-motaro-figure-by-storm-collectibles-395576MK3 Unmasked Sub-Zero - news.toyark.com/2020/07/24/preview-of-the-mortal-kombat-3-sub-zero-figure-by-storm-collectibles-396499I notice the MK3 Unmasked Sub-Zero head is different to the one previously shown. Previously it had a likeness to the original actor John Turk. Now it's been changed to be more generic. With this and Raiden looking nothing like Carlos Pesina, it seems pretty obvious Storm doesn't want to pay licensing fees to use the original actor likenesses. Which is really disappointing for fans of the classic MK games, particularly considering these are premium-priced figures. I am also disappointed that logically with the reveal of the MK11 Klassic Scorpion, this probably means we won't be getting any more ninjas using their original MK1/MK2 style ninja mold. I was hoping we might eventually get a Tremor, Chameleon, an "invisible" Reptile variant in transparent plastic, or maybe even Oniro (white ninja from the cartoon). But now, even if Storm did those characters, my guess is they would just use the newer MK3 ninja mold or this new MK11 Klassic mold, which would mean they won't match the existing MK1/MK2 style ninja figures. Still on the plus side, I can't wait to get Motaro which looks amazing.

If Storm had to pay royalties it could make the figures more expensive and they already are pricy. I'm not a fan myself of the new MK11 mould, but if Tremor and Chameleon were to be made the MK3 mould would be better. I expect the rest of the ninjas to be rereleased in that form aswell in the future. Down the line as well I wouldn't be against movie versions of the ninjas. Always though Reptile and Scorpion looked great in the first film.

I was hesitant to start buying the Storm figures so I missed a few in the beginning and I currently only have two(Baraka and Shao Kahn). But it looks like my collection is going to be stuck at two if they keep doing Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Raiden looks cool though.

Equivalent of dc doing batman all the time and wwe doing reigns. Plus they've done ermac, rain, smoke, reptile, Kahn, goro, sektor, cyrax, raiden, baraka and motaro.

Yeah I know they are the most popular (which is annoying because I've hated them since the beginning) it just sucks when they show things like Kitana and Mileena but we can't get them out but here's another palette swap ninja. I'm not a huge fan of the palette swap male Ninjas so most of what they've done I just haven't liked. MK 2 is my sweet spot which is why I own Baraka and Shao Kahn. Whenever they release Mileena, Kitana, Cage, and Kang I'll get those. And I wasn't a huge fan of part 3 but would take Sindel and Sonya.

I gave up on the Storm Collectibles MK line(s), as it was a lot to juggle with Street Fighter.
I'd still like to grab a Cyborg Smoke, though, and if they ever release one, a Quan Chi.
