Well if said show involves her performing on herself, then count me in.

Are you guys kidding me with the Katy Perry hate? Like is this a "hip" thing to do now? "omg, that roar song, is awful.." lolol, WHAT? Anyone that thinks Katy Perry isn't one of the most tremendously talented pop stars of the last 20 years is either A) trying to be the rebellious 'hate whats popular' guy. or B) has terrible taste in music. Just name one female pop star that is even close to Katy Perry status as far as talent, consistency, and charisma goes.. Please. so people can't dislike a song? you need to chill a bit. and LOL at you suggesting those that don't think she's something special have 'terrible taste in music.' i'm not one to throw insults away, but you're a grown man supporting bubblegum pop music. if ANYONE has terrible musical taste here, it's you. pretty sure beyonce is bigger/better/more talented any who. Chill a bit? lol.. I guess you were offended by what I said.. Throwing insults away, even though you're not one to do so.. I didn't say people can't dislike a song.. Anyone can dislike a song, but to call an artist terrible when said artist has had 4 studio albums, all of which have had 4 or more songs to reach the billboard charts, most of them hitting #1.. Is just a lie. "grown man defending bubblegum pop music".. Yeah dude that's rare, all those grown men that are in clubs listening to "bubblegum pop" artist Katy Perry.. Wadda bunch of teenagers.. They should grow up... It's pop music, guy.. And even if it is bubblegum pop, it's still not Kidz Bop.. And speaking on Beyonce, she's been around since the late 90's, I would hope she's bigger at everything.. Between that and being married to Jay Z, not including all the media attention that they get.. If we are being honest, Beyonce's last album was underwhelming to say the least.. Other than Taylor Swift, I can't think of too many other pop artists that are naturally talented or consistent with their music.. But the fact your "go to" was Beyonce shows me you don't have many other options to argue with.. So maybe you should chill, try not to get as offended.. My post was speaking freely, your post spoke directly.

My post was speaking freely, your post spoke directly. by no means was i offended, and i'm happy to see you weren't either. my point was simply that it's bubble gum pop music, called that because it's dispensable and quickly loses it's appeal (or taste) requiring a new one to fill it's place. for the most part, it's just really simple music that's highly over produced resulting in shiny pop music dashed with some sexual sensationalism (katy's tits, anybody?). very easy to diss. so perhaps simply don't be so surprised by it next time to feel inclined to say "WHAT?" when someone dislikes something that has several different things that are easy to dislike. and if the billboards are any semblance of actual music quality, then hell has really frozen over. i mean, 'milkshake' by kelis got to number three on the billboards...i don't think it or she are going to be remembered as 'timeless classics'...lol

The radio will destroy a good song.. And the radio has destroyed alot of great songs over the years, including most of Katy Perrys.. I don't view her as bubblegum pop because with me, they are songs I use to dislike, listened later after the hype died and loved. And if we're being honest, Katy's tits just happen to be an added bonus! Miley Cyrus tried the sex appeal.. She was made fun of alot. Plus as quick as a "Milkshake" song makes it that high, it's usually the next week or two that it starts falling off the charts.. Most of Katy Perry's singles have hit #1 and stayed there for a length of time.. I understand where you are coming from, I apologize if I viewed it as an 'attack' or anything.. But hopefully you get my perspective as well. Cheers!

"Who Am I Living For?" and "Circle the Drain" are two of my favorite Katy Perry songs. Check them out, they're better than her radio stuff.

Dude here is not referring to a difference in taste, but in people calling things objectively bad when they are not.

Again, the term "bad" is entirely subjunctive to a person's individual taste. www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/badClearly my dispute falls under the enjoy-ability of her music, which I have none. This clearly defines my diction as indeed correct. Is that all sir?

I do not use third definitions. Especially in that case, which exists only to justify people using something for subjective purposes instead of objectively
"I do not enjoy this" and "this is of poor quality" are two entirely different sentiments.
I do not find the Mona Lisa enjoyable. That does not mean it is of low quality.
