For quite a while there, I just assumed that Elite ankles were glued in place after some of the early ones had been too loose. A few months ago I found they do still move, but they are insanely stiff. Just got the elite Usos today and tried to move Jimmy Uso's foot... And it snapped right off. So I'll have to exchange it. But am I the only one who finds the ankle joints to be stupidly stiff now?
Also, I only just noticed the Usos are actually packaged the opposite way to how they were packaged in the protos -- Jey is doing the pose the proto Jimmy did and vice versa.

No you're not alone. I absolutely hate how stiff the ankles are too

I like the stiffness. My Legends figures have some loose ass ankles

Just got my MITB Orton today from the BAF Ross. His left foot is on a awkward angle and is super tight and I can't move it without applying alot of pressure. I don't want to snap it off haha, but his right foot is super loose. Its driving me crazy.

Heat trick! I'm happy with the tight ankles. Way too many of the early Elite/Legends have fone shelf dives due to loose joints.

I prefer stiff ankles to really loose ones. My E13 Edge has really loose ankles and could barely stand even on the display stand, now I'm afraid to move it or try and take the coat off.

I dislike it very much. Loose over stiff imo as loose can be fixed.

What was ever the benefit of the elite ankles over the basic ones? For the most part, basic ankles have worked well since day one. But elite ankles, since the start, have either been too loose or stuck. Even conceptually, I'm not sure what the advantage of the elite ones is supposed to be. More range of movement than the basics?

With the elites there is the little sideways pivot in addition to the front to back movement on the basics. For doing certain poses with the legs spread in a wider stance I guess.

I hate the Elite Ankles. They are either stuck, or too loose. I've never had an Elite ankle that could move without being loose. So I just glue them all. I'd rather have it be stuck than loose and floppy and make the figure unable to stand.
I wish they would just give Elites the Basic boots. Nothing is really gained by the SLIGHT side to side pivot. The Elite ankles also are ugly because there is a very noticeable gap between the boot and foot.

Greater range of motion and sturdier base when posing the figures in wider stances. The elite pivots allow more of the bottom of the boot stay flush on the table. If they used the basic boots the wider the legs were posed the less boot would be on the surface making the figure's stance less sturdy.

It is annoying how stiff they are, I wouldn't want them loose though.

I rather have it stiff than loose.
And Basic ankles suck, the peg is shown and ugly to me at least.

I agree it sucks. But u really can't win. Either loose ankles or tight ones. Sucks for guys who pose their figs but I hate when figs topple over n u wake up to ur collection on the floor cuz yokozuna chest bumped half ur roster.

I'd rather have the suck joints myself for this reason. Can't tell you how may times Luke Gallows wiped out a shelf due to his right ankle. Or when i used to have them set up in my ESR, the combined efforts of him and E1 Undertaker would cause impromptu Royal Rumbles at 1:30 am.
