With Hell in a Cell being this Sunday, I've remembered some random facts about the match, allow me to share them with you.
Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins will be the first HIAC match since the original in which none of the participants have been in the match before.
Of the 28 HIAC matches in history, The Undertaker or Triple H have been involved in 18 of those matches.
Despite Triple H claiming he's won more HIAC matches than anyone in history, he and The Undertaker are tied at 6 for most victories.
John Cena has never won a televised HIAC match.
Cena did win the only non-televised HIAC match, a dark-match from a Raw in 2011, defeating Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, and Jack Swagger.
That dark-match was the only time Ziggler and Swagger have been in the HIAC match.
Niether the WWE nor the World Heavyweight changed hands inside HIAC until 2009.
Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio are the only superstars to win the WWE Championship inside HIAC.
The Undertaker is the only superstar to win the World Heavyweight Championship inside HIAC.
Randy Orton vs. John Cena this Sunday will be the first time a HIAC match will be repeated with the same competitors. CM Punk vs. Ryback doesn't count because technically Paul Heyman was involved in the second match.
Despite the HIAC making Mick Foley's career famous, he's never won a HIAC match.
Both Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock have never won a HIAC match.
Batista is undefeated inside HIAC and is the only superstar to defeat both Triple H and The Undertaker in the match.
Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley are the only superstars to be both a competitor and official inside HIAC.
Triple H and Shawn Michaels and Mankind and Kane are the only superstars to be both opponents and tag team partners inside HIAC.
Only 12 people to date have won inside HIAC. The Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, John Cena, CM Punk, Batista, Kane, Kurt Angle, Alberto Del Rio, Brock Lesnar, and Mark Henry. Seth Rollins or Dean Ambrose will be number 13.
Hopefully some of you found this interesting.
