Yeah, if you're customizing DA's, you'll see this a lot. Obviously where the red is is the part where the paint rubs off. To fix this, all you need is some paint (I use Testors.. it's alittle stronger than Folk art/ Delta Ceramcoat), superglue and possibly some fine sandpaper. All I did was paint the red parts with some black Testors paint. After that dried, I covered it with some brush on superglue and tested it. Since it only rubbed in 2 spots, I grabbed some fine sandpaper and sanded the spots down. after I sanded them down, I repainted them and coated it with superglue.

When you are putting the glue on the joint, remember to just brush the glue over the sections of plastic, not over the gaps between. Also, let the glue set and then try to move the joint.

Thanks, that's good info to have.
When you say 'brush on super glue' is that some kind of special storebought super glue or is it a mixture you make?
Thanks.

Thanks. That is one major problem I have with painting.

Ianarchy --
It's probably store bought. It's with the 'regular' superglue (in the tubes), but it looks like a little bottle and the brush is attached to the lid.

Dude, awesome. Fortunately, I haven't run into problems with the DAs just yet, but that's from series 3. Are the joints tighter?

AF - Thanks so much, comrade. You get your karma back. I told you I would return the favor. I'll look for that stuff. Crazy. Thanks again!

That's great. Another option that I use sometimes is to use a sharpie to cover any paint rub prone areas, and then seal it with superglue. Obviosuly that's really only an option when you're painting something black, but when you are, it works okay.
It's not as thick a layer as paint makes, so it's not as liable to rub again too.

There's always paint markers too.

I've actually used the sharpie route in the past.. it works nicely... but only works on black.

If anyone wants to see other tutorials... let me know, I'd be glad to do them.
