Would Marcus Cor Von's old theme work for him? Hope it works out for him. He's a great guy and he can make sh*t into salad. To test it out we should just bring Marcus Cor Von back and make him WWE champion to see. |

If you equate racism to stereotypes then yes most all forms of media are "racist". Whether it be video games/movies/ or WWE. There have been white stereotypes as well, they just aren't pronounced. Everyone is stereotyped. Hell Sheamus is stereotyped. The big white Irishman. Rusev too. Lana. Etc etc. It's just how it works. Regal was as well for a while. Iron Sheik, Sergeant Slaughter, etc etc etc etc. Hell Big Bossman could be considered one too. It's not just blacks and latinos, there just are fewer to point out so it's more noticeable. They will almost always try to capatilize on your race or origin, white black pink or blue. That's wrestling. They put over stereotypes and caricatures.

This vignette was one of the best parts of the show. The way he held onto the mic at the end was halarious.

I like Xavier and hope this works for him. I'm disappointed about the group not panning out. I was really hoping they would have something for those three to do, but no. I hope Kofi and Big E are back on TV soon as well in meaningful roles.

It would be nice if a black guy didnt have to have the same sh** gimmicks though. James Brown gimmick is just the preacher gimmicks stupid cousin. At least he didn't get a savage gimmick.

Unfortunately, I can see this gimmick wearing thin in a hurry and not being beneficial to Xavier. Unless this is a swerve that leads to some version of the S.A.F., this will be a failed experiment.

The three of them are still together as a group on the European tour happening right now, to the point where Xavier comes out to celebrate with Kofi and E after they beat Harper and Rowan. I don't know if that's just fulfilling old booking arrangements (ie Harper and Rowan teaming up), but if the trio isn't planned anymore, it doesn't make much sense to send Xavier down after the match to hang out with them. So I wouldn't be surprised to see this lead to their team. This could be interesting. Like to see Big E and Kofi brought in with him to preach whatever he is preaching. Because they're black? Because they're friends with Xavier, they're doing absolutely nothing at the moment, they have charisma and talent like Xavier and months ago they were apparently told they were still going to be teaming with each other. |

it's not racist, but it's another classic example of how wwe handle gimmicks for black people. gospel singers? james brown? c'mon its hardly subtle. it's yet again a gimmick given to a black person simply because he's black... just like PTP and Truth.
I really rate Xavier and hope he can have a good run with it. Last time he got mic time he really impressed me, and his in ring work is great. I think he's one of those guys that doesn't really need a gimmick though -- just give him some promo time and let his natural personality shine.

The only thing that makes me mad about Woods' new gimmick is that it is a major rip off of Ernest "the Cat" Miller's gimmick. I like Xavier, but he can't compare to Miller.
