...anyone who may know: I'm back into collecting and I'm strictly starting with MOC Defining Moments. That Hogan, Razor and Sting really sparked my interest in collecting again, and the recent Flair release is just amazing. I recently picked it up along with a good deal I found on Cena and Triple H. However, when sitting them side by side I noticed that the packaging is slightly diffrent on Flair, and also smaller. My questions are:
1) Is this new smaller packaging going to continue with fuure DM releases like Hogan, Razor and Sting? 2) What is the actual release on the DM line for 2015? Is it AROUND the time of the big 4 PPVs or on the ACTUAL date? 3) Are the new DMs exclusive anywhere, or will they be as available as Flair has been on online retailers like Amazon? 4) WHO IS THE 4th DM FIGURE FOR 2015?!
Thanks MDT and keep up the excellent work, you guys are great. And also thanks to anyone else on here that may have any factual input. Happy collecting!

ALSO, to add: I have noticed that Flair has yet to sell out anywhere since his release...is he not selling well? Of ALL the figures you guys have released thus far, I expected him to sell out fast...Are you guys over-producing the DM figures, or are they just selling very well? I am praying that the line can continue, it has always been my absolute favorite.

The packaging was reduced in size from the old DM's and I expect that will continue. Flair has also been available in store at Kmarts. The next releases should be around the big 4 PPV's. But are not tied to any specific dates. Hard to tell on the Flair sales and if it is doing as well as expected or what mattel considers successful. I do hope the future releases make it into other retail outlets as well to ensure they do well and keep the line going.
*edit* Bill said he is working on the 4th now, but we don't know who except he says it isn't Warrior.

^^Thanks for your input! I also would love to find these at retail! And yeah I figured the box being smaller on Flair was to help cut costs, it doesn't bother me at all, I actually like it better

So it basically saves them money to reduce the size of the packaging, both in material costs and shipping costs (both for weight and size), and shelf-space in the store (i.e. more profit for Mattel). All of these compounding saving equals MORE MONEY in MATTEL's pockets.

I'm starting to lean towards a nWo Hollywood Hogan. He would require large amount of accessories to feel complete. Glasses, bandana, nWo shirt, nWo Belt, weight lifting Hollywood belt, maybe even the boa's.

when you search up top 10 wrestling figures that need to happen you you realize I AM CHONO! has gotten 8 out of 10 figures right so either we get a Sherri or we Get a Goldberg. either way you made a list that i think Mattel got off you.

The DM's arent going to "sell out". They will sell as many of them online to those that want one I would imagine until it completely dries up and then the last of the inventory will be discounted to clear out the rest way down the road.

Flair sold out at the 3 kmarts near me Same, he sold out around these parts. Guess it depends on traffic through your store. Glad you were able to jump back in. All of sudden Mattel has a pretty killer Legends roster that is starting to show signs of life and real growth again.

My Kmart has this many wow. There is only one Kmart near me and they haven't got it yet. I'm just a little surprised stores haven't figured out that its not a good idea to super stock like that. They'd probably sell faster with just a few out at a time cause people will be worried about waiting, or they might buy two "just in case." When someone sees that much they think, if they are on the fence, "well, that have a ton, I'll think about it and come back later" as opposed to, "well, they only have 3, left I better get it now."

Other than 3rd party sellers like ebay/flea markets, etc, are there any other places i could still possibly buy previous Defining Moments figures still? Like will RSC ever get any more in MOC from previous sets? Or any other online sites? I'm having a tough time finding them for reasonable prices...

Ebay is your best bet. Anything thats sold out at retail/online will go up in price. Thats just how collectibles work. It may drop in ghe future if a better version of that figure is released.

I'm wondering, is the current going rate for the previous DM series sets pretty much $50-100 per figure? (excluding Steamboat, Cena, Flair and Hart) Because I can't find them anywhere (ebay, craigslist, amazon) for anything under that....I DID strike gold at a local flea market last weekend though, I got a MOC perfectly mint DM 3 Triple H for just $20...I guess the dude didn't know what he had...

Also, is there still no response from either RSC or MDT in regards to release dates, or atleast preorder dates?
