lol aaaaand the "savior of the rotation" Chris Capuano strained his quad today and will be out 6 weeks...missing at least the first month of the season.
Way to go Yankees! That starting 5 is gonna be a wondrous thing to behold this year

if Manfred re-instates Pete Rose he will automatically become greater than Selig in every possible way.
The stars are aligning, hell I might be planning a trip to Cooperstown in a few years...

not gonna lie....pretty impressed with A-Rod right now.
He's doing EXACTLY what he's supposed to be doing. STFU and play. I'm getting the sense he was completely humbled by the entire thing over last year and maybe he's finally just grown up. One thing I always kept reading about him in the million articles is that he just "loves the game of baseball" so maybe for his last 3 years he will just appreciate it and play hard. Again, I don't care if he hits .300/30/100...it just doesn't matter anymore. But since he is making SO much money, he just needs to earn it by playing. Still think he has the ability to be decent and contribute.
I know you cant judge spring training....but when guys are actually doing GOOD in spring it's at least promising. Especially considering most people expected/(wanted) A-Rod to absolutely suck.
We are less than a week from opening day....in-credible.

Mets can have Blevins. I never cared for him. Miss my Detwiler still, though.

Kris Bryant almost killed me in a Minor League game....for that, I think he deserves a spot on the opening day roster.

You can quote me on that.

Aaron Boone just said on ESPN during the Tigers/Yankees game that he thought the Jeter farewell tour must've "[worn] on him." Well, it was kinda his fault for announcing it BEFORE the season and getting a tour.

i know spring training numbers are whatever but still...once again the yankees completely baffle my thinking letting David Robertson WALK for NOTHING...a guy who PROVED he could close. to replace with one guy who has hardly ever closed before but was lights out in the 8th inning...and apparently since both Betances & Miller have had average Spring's Girardi is going to play matchup game with his closer. so instead of a guy who could handle it, was young and good enough...we now get 2 question marks almost every game. WHAT THE

Tigers down to 24 healthy roster members, Rondon on DL and maybe Verlander. Little worried, I'm assuming that it'll be a bullpen arm that'll be the 25th man, maybe Kyle Ryan?
