PREVIOUSLY ON NXT...
THE NXT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP SCENE
Since winning the NXT Heavyweight Championship on May 23, Bo Dallas has become the Face of NXT. The third generation superstar, poised with obnoxiousness and a smile irritable enough to make a full arena despise him in seconds, has done whatever it takes to hang on to the NXT Heavyweight Championship since defeating Big E Langston to win it. Whether it be with the help of outside interference, with acts of desperation or an arsenal of cheap tactics, the arrogant youngster has shown his true colors to the entire NXT locker room. In his reign, Dallas has already defeated superstars such as Leo Kruger, Antonio Cesaro, Rob Van Dam and Sami Zayn - however there is one man that is currently in Dallas' way: Kassius Ohno. The 'Knockout Kid' came close to winning the NXT Heavyweight title back on November 14, Ohno getting in position to lay Dallas out with the KO - just for Bo to low blow Ohno with the referee down, leading to another successful defense for Dallas courtesy of a cheap roll-up. Ohno however has not left Dallas alone since he was cheated out of the gold, going as far as to deliver a KO to Dallas during a non-title match with Colin Cassady on December 4, giving Cassady a huge upset and propelling him into the title hunt. However, a rematch between Ohno and Dallas is not scheduled - but rather a match for the NXT title between Dallas and Colin Cassady is. On December 18, it is put up or shut up for Bo Dallas: as for the loudmouth from New York, does Colin Cassady have what it takes to claim the NXT Heavyweight Championship?
- NXT - DECEMBER 18, 2013: Bo Dallas will defend his NXT Heavyweight Championship against Colin Cassady. The winner will then go on to face next top contender Kassius Ohno.
NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP SCENE Going into 2013, the bar was set high when NXT introduced the Tag Team Championships. On February 13, the inaugural NXT Tag Team Champions were crowned when the British Ambition, Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey defeated the Wyatt Family to cement themselves in history. However, a brutal rivalry took place with Erick Rowan and Luke Harper of the Wyatts pursuing the British Ambition, which included sidelining Grey ruthlessly and taking the NXT Tag Team Championships away from Neville. On his own, the Newcastle born Neville honed his skills in singles action, wowing the NXT Universe with his acrobatic and incredibly agile abilities - but he was hungry to regain the belts, and he did so on July 17 with the help of an unexpected ally in the 'Savior of Misbehavior' Corey Graves. Agility meeting brutality, Neville and Graves were able to become NXT Tag Team Champions, defeating the intimidating Harper and Rowan to become the top of the division. Immediately Graves and Neville were targeted by none other than the Ascension - two demonic giants in the tag division going by the names of Konnor and Viktor. On September 4, Neville and Graves retained against the Ascension, but tensions began to rise high between the two men - including when they absorbed a loss to the Real Americans on September 25. Their team was left in question when Graves and Neville's uneasy alliance led to fights between the two, but when push came to shove, Graves and Neville were still able to take on all forms of opposition, defeating Aiden English and Danny Burch as well as Hunico and Camacho to retain the titles. But time could be running out on Neville and Graves' run at the top, as the Ascension have once again risen through the ranks to become number one contenders - with a time and a place yet to be determined for the grand rematch. Can the Ascension get the job done, and can Neville and Graves coexist?
NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP SCENE It has been a dream come true for Paige, the second-generation Diva hailing from Norwich, England. On June 20, Paige made history when she became the first ever NXT Women's Champion by defeating Emma in the finals of a tournament after also defeating WWE Diva veterans Tamina Snuka and Alicia Fox in the quarter and semi-final rounds. Paige has proven herself as a unique entity in the womens locker room, taking on any form of opposition - the main opposition being the leader of the BFFs, Summer Rae. Rae and Sasha Banks have proven to be a thorn in the side of Paige's allies, targeting the ever-dancing Australian, Emma and the fun-loving childlike Bayley in recent months - of course, Paige was the one to make the save on both occasions. In addition to Paige being an ally of Emma, WWE Diva veteran Natalya has taken it upon herself to get involved whenever things got tough for the fan favourite NXT Divas, being another rival of Summer Rae's in recent weeks, including on November 28 when Rae helped Sasha Banks score an upset victory over the Hart Dynasty member. Now more than ever has the NXT Women's division been so hot, with Paige continuing to take on anyone anywhere at anytime - but the question remains to be answered: who can stop the well-educated Norwich-bred champion?
THE UNDERCARD WWE Superstar Antonio Cesaro has continued his beef with Sami Zayn in recent months, in a brewing rivalry that originates as far back as the independent circuit for Cesaro. After Zayn scored a huge upset over Cesaro on his first night in NXT back on May 22, the 'Swiss Superman' has not been happy with Zayn, and has succeeded in defeating him in encounters since, including a modern classic two out of three falls match on August 21 - with the NXT Universe continuing to call it a match of the year candidate. With the New Year approaching, Cesaro has focused on WWE veteran William Regal, another man with a hard-hitting European style background, as Cesaro has tried and tried again to call out the Blackpool, England born Regal on a number of occasions, on one occasion attacking Regal whilst on commentary, leading to Cesaro executing the Neutralizer on the stage leaving Regal unconscious. Regal finally snapped and decided to go to NXT General Manager JBL with a demand: to fight Cesaro on December 25.
- NXT - DECEMBER 25, 2013: On the final episode of NXT in the year 2013, the 'Swiss Superman' plans to conquer another feat as Antonio Cesaro one-on-one with a former ECW, Intercontinental, Tag Team and European Champion William Regal in a scientific, personal affair.
Meanwhile, Sami Zayn has continued to show persistence in his efforts to defeat the former United States Champion Cesaro - but has also found himself in a feud with one Leo Kruger: the South-African hunter seeking to hunt Zayn down and defeat the Syrian-Canadian to add another win to his trophy case...Vignettes have began to air hyping the debut of a new NXT superstar by the name of Baron Corbin, a big, bad biker from the southern states of America...On December 4, we witnessed the first singles match of Mojo Rawley, a man driven to 'Stay Hyped' - and full of energy, Rawley has proven on two occasions that he delivers what he claims, remaining undefeated to this point...On November 14, newcomer to NXT, Kalisto made his debut and immediately found himself in hot water when he was close to defeating Hunico - when Camacho decided to get involved leading to a disqualification finish. Hunico and Camacho assaulted the Mexican-American newcomer when WWE superstar Sin Cara came to his aid. The two teams fought on November 28, where Sin Cara and Kalisto defeated the WWE superstars in tag team action...
Whilst Colin Cassady has landed himself a choice shot at the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas, his partner Enzo Amore on the other hand suffered a broken leg back in November and will be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future...Alexander Rusev is making his name known to many in NXT, as he continues to be on the warpath with aims to become NXT Heavyweight Champion in his grasp...Tyler Breeze has targeted Tyson Kidd and the two Canadians will meet on December 18 after 'Prince Pretty' called Tyson 'ugly and talentless'.
- NXT - DECEMBER 18, 2013: Can 'Prince Pretty' walk the walk? We've heard Tyler Breeze run his mouth about how ugly Tyson Kidd is, but when Breeze and Kidd face off, who will wind up victorious?
START DATE: NXT 200 - WEDNESDAY 18TH DECEMBER 2013

#NXT200 WWE NXT - Wednesday 18th December 2013 - Winter Park, FL (#200) Taped: Tuesday 17th December 2013 - Broadcast on WWE.com! "THE BIG 200"
Tonight on NXT:
- After previously being defeated by the New Yorker, NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas must defend his title against the unpredictable Colin Cassady. The winner of this match will go on to defend the title against next top contender Kassius Ohno.
- Tyler Breeze can talk the talk, but can he walk the walk when he goes up against Tyson Kidd in a match where Kidd can prove that looks aren't everything.
- Six-Diva tag team action takes place as Emma has enlisted the assistance of former WWE Divas Champion Natalya and Bayley to take on the BFFs, Summer Rae and Sasha Banks...as well as another former Divas Champion Alicia Fox.
- A look back on the past four years of NXT, as we celebrate tonight the 200th weekly episodic episode of NXT.
The opening graphic aired, introducing this week's edition of NXT featuring WWE Superstars of the past and the present. Following this came a special video package showcasing on the number '200'. Tonight was the 200th episode of NXT since its' premiere back on February 23, 2010, as it reminded us that current WWE superstars such as Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Ryback and various other stars on the main roster got their start on NXT in the past. It flashed forward, showing the debut of NXT as a developmental territory on June 20, 2012 - and how it grew to becoming the proving ground for future prospects: superstars like the three members of the Shield, Big E Langston, Fandango, Antonio Cesaro and the Wyatt Family. Tonight is no exception, as NXT reaches this important milestone in its development: it's time for the NXT Generation.
The opening video package for NXT aired, as we cut to the Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida for another edition of NXT on its' 200th episode. This week's announce team consists of Byron Saxton, Tom Philips and Tensai.

TYLER BREEZE def. TYSON KIDD - Two Canadians going at it to kick off the 200th episode of NXT, as Tyson Kidd has previously had problems getting into a groove ever since arriving on NXT - and this was rubbed in a lot thanks to the ever-arrogant comments made by the self-proclaimed 'Prince Pretty' accepting that Kidd was a world-class technician in the ring - but that he wasn't interesting because he didn't have the IT Factor that Breeze himself possessed. Breeze has shown every bit of narcissism to the Full Sail crowd, but has been known to lose his temper in the past, and that played to Kidd's advantage tonight, as Kidd continued to keep poking Breeze, and trying to get under his skin by outshining him with his fantastic array of technical abilities. Kidd was able to fend Breeze out to ringside on two occasions after winning chain-wrestling games - but when Breeze resorted to ringside a second time, Kidd went right after him, delivering a springboard crossbody from the second rope on top of Tyler.
The last survivor of the Hart Dungeon tried to put away the arrogant NXT star with ease tonight, but Breeze sent Kidd rapidly into the ring post dramatically changing the momentum in this match. Kidd was holding his face as Breeze continued to manipulate it back in the ring, raking the eyes and obviously targeting the face of Kidd with multiple strikes and a chinlock applied. Breeze wouldn't leave the face of Kidd alone, as Tyson continued to writhe in pain at the hands of 'Prince Pretty'. The self-proclaimed cutest man in NXT was not going easy on Kidd in this one, but Kidd finally fired back as Breeze lined up for the Beauty Shot - Kidd dodging it and grabbing the legs of Breeze, quickly going for a Sharpshooter or the Dungeon Lock. Breeze managed to roll out of the ring for that, but Tyson was hot in pursuit, rolling Breeze back inside just to run into the Beauty Shot laying Kidd out at 8:14. **3/4 The NXT Universe booed in disapproval as 'Prince Pretty' celebrated in the ring standing tall over Tyson Kidd in a competitive opening contest to the 200th episode of NXT. Kidd meanwhile seemed to be disappointed by absorbing yet another loss, as Breeze took great pride in humiliating Tyson further: by taking a selfie of himself standing over Kidd, who was sat, hands covering his face on the canvas. (00:15)
On the 200th episode of NXT, we took glances back at the history of NXT - this one specifying the series premiere of NXT back on February 23, 2010 from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where eight young hopefuls were paired with WWE superstars in a reality television show format where the winner would gain access to the main roster. Among them, current WWE Superstars Ryback, Wade Barrett, Darren Young, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Daniel Bryan. Covered in the flashback was Bryan's dissension with his coach, the Miz before transitioning into the first ever main event in NXT - as then-World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho was able to put away Bryan in an impressive effort for the debuting 'YES Man'. Four years on, Bryan is one of the many faces of the WWE Universe, having teamed with CM Punk to beat Erick Rowan and Luke Harper last Sunday in a tables match at WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs. (00:17)
In the superstars dressing room, Devin Taylor was standing by with the 'Knockout Kid' Kassius Ohno, as Taylor wanted to get some comments from Ohno prior to tonight's NXT Heavyweight Championship match featuring Bo Dallas defending against Colin Cassady. Ohno talked about how he is a really happy man tonight, because it feels like Christmas has come early for him. Ohno talked about how he is really happy for the NXT Universe, who get to see the NXT title at stake tonight, and how he is happy for Colin Cassady - who he helped defeat Bo Dallas in a non-title match two weeks ago to earn this match tonight. And Ohno said he was happy for himself, because regardless of the outcome of tonight's match, he will leave Bo Dallas KO'd in the middle of that ring - and the fact that regardless of who wins tonight, whether it be Bo or whether it be Big Cass: Kassius Ohno is coming for them. And then Ohno can proclaim himself finally the NXT Heavyweight Champion. (00:18)
NATALYA, EMMA & BAYLEY def. SUMMER RAE, SASHA BANKS & ALICIA FOX - We have seen a lot of tension in the NXT Divas locker room in recent months, all formed because of Summer Rae and Sasha Banks' association as the BFFs. Causing trouble for Emma and Bayley, it was Summer's rival the veteran Natalya who stepped in as the childlike duo's guardian - and added to the fray tonight was former WWE Divas Champion Alicia Fox (who seemed to get along quite well with the BFFs). Emma and Sasha Banks started off, as the Australian was successful in taking down Banks initially - but it wouldn't last as Summer Rae weaseled her way into the BFFs working away at Emma. Rae and Banks continuously mocked Emma's dancing, including Rae nailing Emma's rolling senton into the corner on the blonde. Alicia Fox even played along with the BFFs, but when Fox tried to go for her Scissors Kick, Emma ducked it and tagged in Bayley - the ever playful Bayley flying around with a spinning headscissors on Fox, as well as a hurricanrana for Banks - before getting brutally slapped to the canvas by Rae. Rae now tried to isolate Bayley, as the BFFs kept a lock on Bayley - the Full Sail crowd wanting Natalya to get involved in the match. But instead Bayley reversed a mockery of Natalya's Sharpshooter into an inside cradle on Summer Rae for the upset at 5:23. *3/4
After the bell, Emma jumped around in the ring to join Bayley in her celebration - but Summer Rae and Alicia Fox were right there to jump the two NXT Divas from behind! Rae repeatedly slammed Bayley's face into the canvas hard, as Sasha Banks locked in the Bank Statement on Emma whilst Alicia Fox watched on victoriously...but Natalya got in the ring and went for Summer Rae, just for Fox to nail her with the Scissors Kick! The BFFs had seemingly found a new member in Alicia Fox, as NXT Women's Champion Paige was shown watching on from the rampway, wisely not deciding to get involved in this one-sided brawl.
( 00: 28)
On the 200th episode of NXT, we took glances back at the history of NXT - this one looking back at the debut of NXT emanating from the Full Sail University back on June 20, 2012. The first appearance in the Full Sail environment, Winter Park, Florida was about to be the home of so many future WWE superstars - but the very first match in this era of NXT was made by none other than the current NXT Heavyweight Champion himself, Bo Dallas - who put away Rick Victor (now a member of the Ascension) to christen the new era. In the main event was Tyson Kidd defeating the now Curtis Axel in a stellar bout, as Kidd was all about business back in his winning days. Who would have thought that Full Sail would be witness to so many star-making events, from Seth Rollins becoming the first ever NXT Heavyweight Champion, to Big E Langston's rise to the top, and now we live in the reign of Bo Dallas. Also highlighted was Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey becoming the first ever NXT Tag Team Champions and Paige becoming the first ever NXT Women's Champion. With his business with Antonio Cesaro coming to a head next Wednesday on the special NXT Year in Review episode airing Christmas Day, the long-term veteran from Blackpool, England had some choice words for the 'Swiss Superman'. Regal stood in front of a darkened backdrop talking about how he had longed to let his in-ring career go and focus on honing the skills and coaching the next generation of WWE superstars - but an old friend, protegé, colleague in Cesaro just wasn't satisfied with that. Regal said that Cesaro pushed him like Regal pushed Cesaro from a younger age - he made him feel a fire again. Regal reminisced on his career, talking about how he never won the Big One, the World Heavyweight Championship. Regal talked about his legacy: being the master technician that he is. Regal said that maybe Cesaro is better, maybe Cesaro is the next generation version of William Regal, or more. Regal said that next week will be Cesaro's ultimate test: because next week William Regal will not die with his question mark of a legacy.
THE ASCENSION def. THE AMERICAN PITBULLS - Known by their presence on the independent circuit, this was Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards' biggest test: a tryout on NXT with none other the number one contenders to the NXT Tag Team Champions and arguably the most dominant tag team in NXT today, the Ascension. Davey (tonight known as Derek Billington) started off with Konnor, and the size advantage may have been in Konnor's favor, but Billington fired away at Konnor with some harsh kicks into the face and chest of the Ascension member. Billington continued with some technical-based offense, seemingly targeting the arm of Konnor before tagging in Edwards (tonight known as John Cahill). Cahill and Billington connected with a big superkick/German suplex combination, but that wasn't enough for Konnor to be put away, as the American Pitbulls went to work further - until the power of Konnor came into play and soon the Ascension were double-teaming Cahill with a double backbreaker, targeting the back from the getgo. Meanwhile, Adrian Neville and Corey Graves were shown watching on at their next challengers to the NXT Tag Team Championships - in different locations, given their recent dissension among the champions. Back in the Full Sail University, Cahill tried to make a comeback against Viktor, but the Ascension were in their prime element tonight, and the Fall of Man connected on Cahill at 5:39. **1/4
The NXT Universe applauded the American Pitbulls for their efforts in this big tryout for the rechristened Derek Billington and John Cahil, and booed the Ascension for defeating their favourite independent stars. However, Konnor and Viktor like it or not were coming for the NXT Tag Team Championships held by the dysfunctional duo of Adrian Neville and Corey Graves: it was a matter of when and where for the Ascension; for the champs it was about if they could coexist against Konnor and Viktor.
In the dark depths of Full Sail University stands South-African bounty hunter, Leo Kruger. Kruger talked in his native tongue, sounding like a perverse snake in his deliverance, as Kruger talked about how he has a secret that he wanted to share with the NXT Universe. Shot from a close-up angle of his face, Kruger talked about how he was ready to share this secret with the world: that secret being that he wanted to hunt for Sami Zayn. Kruger talked about the blood of the Syrian-Canadian he craved. Kruger talked about Zayn's never-say-die attitude, his will to never surrender within him: Leo wanted. Kruger said that in two weeks he faces Sami Zayn in a Falls Count Anywhere match, and he plans to decimate Zayn, to take a part of Zayn away, and then Leo Kruger will be more dominant, more unstoppable and impossible to defeat. Zayn is next for Kruger. (00:38)
With moments to go before the biggest night of his young career, Colin Cassady was shown seated in the NXT dressing room when Renee Young appeared to request an interview with Big Cass. Cassady suddenly came out of his focused state all fired up and poised with confidence, as Big Cass talked about how he's beaten Bo Dallas before, he's beaten Dallas at his own game in non-title action two weeks ago - but that tonight he gets to do it all over again: this time without any outside assistance. Cassady was asked if he was nervous, to which he responded that he was, but said that he's not intimidated of that "alley cat" Bo Dallas, stating that he was ready to be NXT Heavyweight Champion. At that moment however, Big Cass paused and looked off-camera to see his injured best friend Enzo Amore on crutches - naturally dressed in leopard print. Enzo asked Cass how he was doin', to which Colin said he felt good. Enzo psyched Cassady up, asking if he was SAWFT - and all Amore needed to hear was that tonight, Big Cass was not feeling SAWFT. (00:39)
Another vignette aired foreseeing the debut of Baron Corbin. With a mean, intimidating look resembling a big, tough biker, Baron was shown riding a motorcycle in the country as he narrated the vignette, promising that he will devastate, that he will desolate, he will demolish everyone in the NXT Universe. Corbin was then shown approaching the camera, Baron stating that he was coming to NXT in three weeks, and that he would not be forgotten.
(00:41)
- NEXT WEEK: The 2013 year in review edition of NXT airs, as Renee Young takes a look at the past year of NXT television. Also, William Regal does battle with Antonio Cesaro.
#NXTTitle NXT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BO DALLAS (c) vs COLIN CASSADY Time to go for Colin Cassady, a huge opportunity for the twenty-seven year old loudmouth from New York. After defeating the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas two weeks ago in a non-title bout (with assistance from an interfering Kassius Ohno), Big Cass had been given a shot at the NXT Heavyweight Championship and it could be his time on the 200th episode of NXT. For Bo Dallas it was about proving that he was not a joke, and not a paper champion in the slightest. Since winning the title back on May 23, Dallas has done anything possible to get the job done and retain the title, but after eating one defeat at the hands of Big Cass, Dallas wanted to get the job done - of course then he would have to once again figure out away to beat the next number one contender Kassius Ohno, who he already defeated barely one month ago. Dallas was confident early on, but found himself a victim of Cassady's early on, as Big Cass used his size as an advantage; a neckbreaker and multiple clotheslines scaring Dallas off initially. Cass continued with his offense, including nailing Bo with a big boot and attempting the Empire in the corner just for Dallas to retreat to ringside and stall. Big Cass' weakness was perhaps his impatience however, as he was hot and tried to target Bo at ringside - just for Dallas to rake him in the eyes.
After a roll-up with the trunks failed, Dallas targeted the lanky legs of Cass to keep him down, the NXT Universe progressively cheering Big Cass on more and more in the biggest night of his career to his point. Dallas continued to focus on the legs of Big Cass, connecting with a bulldog for a near fall. Bo started getting frustrated with Cass, as he soon tried to go for the spear he used to use, it connecting but once again for a near fall! Dallas was getting hot and decided to try for the Bo-Dazzler: but Cass shoved him off the ropes and when the NXT Heavyweight Champion came back, he ran right into the big boot from Cass! Cass was motioning, ready to go for the East River Crossing, it connecting, and Cass covered just for Bo to get a lucky foot on the bottom rope at two. Cass decided to try a backup plan, as he set up and went for the high knee - just for Bo to sidestep it and dropkick the legs of Cass, there nailing the Bo-Dazzler at 11:24.
WINNER AND STILL NXT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: BO DALLAS (**1/2)
The NXT Universe booed loudly as once again Bo Dallas had gotten the job done and managed to make another successful defense of the NXT Heavyweight Championship - this time strangely without having to cheat to win, even if he did try. Dallas went to celebrate with the NXT Heavyweight Championship in the ring - but that's when Kassius Ohno came from underneath the ring, the 'Knockout Kid' standing behind Bo in the ring and waiting for him to turn around - KO'ing Dallas! Kassius Ohno posed over Dallas in the ring, motioning that he wanted the NXT Heavyweight Championship. The 200th episode of NXT went off the air.

WWE NXT Live Event: December 19, 2013Tampa, Florida - FCW Arena
This was the final time NXT held a live event at the FCW Arena. To commemorate the five year history at the Tampa based venue, NXT trainer Norman Smiley came to the ring prior to the first match and talked about the history of Florida Championship Wrestling at the arena. To close the show, Steve Keirn was invited to the ring by head trainer Bill DeMott to receive a plaque for all of his contributions to the developmental system.
| Troy McClain def. Travis Tyler in the opening contest. Both of these NXT Superstars have appeared on television, but both are typically used as enhancement talent for other superstars. Tyler worked the arrogant heel persona, whereas McClain played the happy-go-lucky babyface character. Not many fans were into this one, given the unknown status of the two men. McClain got the win with a Michinoku driver in a short opening contest.
| Baron Corbin def. Jason Jordan after a variation of the downward spiral. An extremely short match between the two, as Baron Corbin received a surprisingly decent reaction considering only having been seen through three vignettes on television in the past few weeks. Corbin has a mean look, standing at 6'8 and sporting a biker persona. Jordan tried to get some offense in, but Corbin put him away very easily.
| Jack Swagger def. Heath Slater in a flash from the past from the first ever show at the FCW Arena back in May 2008, where Swagger beat Slater to win the FCW Heavyweight Championship. Both WWE Superstars got good ovations, as fans heckled Slater's 3MB gimmick and actually got behind the Real American persona Swagger has adapted (Zeb Colter was not in attendance). Swagger got the win with the Patriot Lock in a competitive match.
| Sylvester LeFort & Marcus Louie def. Kalisto & El Local after Louie nailed Local with the Chokeslam. An impressive effort by the still new Kalisto, but he could not quite get the job done, perhaps without the help of Sin Cara being the reason. Sylvester LeFort weaseled away from Kalisto's high-flying offense on multiple occasions, whilst Marcus Louie handled the offense. Big reactions for Kalisto's moves, but Louie and LeFort's lack of actual in-ring prowess didn't do much for them with the FCW crowd.
| Solomon Crowe def. Colin Cassady after a solid match. Crowe got a great reaction despite being yet to appear on NXT television, whereas Cassady tore the house down with a pre-match promo followed up with his powerhouse offense. Cassady and Enzo Amore (absent tonight)'s catchphrases were chanted on occasion, but in the end Crowe was victorious with a headlock driver following a solid, engaging match.
| NXT Tag Team Champions Adrian Neville & Corey Graves def. The Ascension to retain the titles in the match of the night. Dissension almost cost Neville and Graves, as there was a lot of isolation made by Konnor and Viktor - the challengers getting several false finishes over the champions. Neville's agility combined with the brawling of Graves with the Ascension members. The Fall of Man almost put Graves down, but Neville made the hot tag and put down Viktor with the Red Arrow - to which Graves stole the victory at the twenty minute mark. The most lively the crowd has been to this point.
| Leo Kruger def. Angelo Dawkins with the Kruger's End in a short match. Dawkins again hasn't been featured much on NXT television asides from putting over other talent, The exciting African-American tried to put up a fight against the South-African, but Kruger got the win with the Kruger's End. 'We Want Zayn' chants were the highlight of this one.
| Emma & Bayley def. Raquel Diaz & Sasha Banks in the womens match of the night. These four NXT Divas had the fans in attendance doubting the capacities of this match, but the childlike tag team of Emma and Bayley had the families in the FCW Arena alive in comparison to the obnoxious actions of Diaz and Banks. Emma got the win with the Emma Lock on Banks after a fairly lengthy Divas match.
| NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas def. Billy Gunn in a fun, competitive main event. Gunn had been advertised for the event for weeks, but it was undetermined who he would be facing - or if he would even be competing. Matter of fact he fought NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas, who cut a heel promo on FCW's past prior to the match. Gunn had Bo ready for defeat on three occasions, but after a Fame-Asser in particular, Dallas got a foot on the bottom rope. In the end, Dallas got the most heat of the night when he nailed Gunn with the NXT title for the win. Gunn got revenge after the match, laying Dallas out with the Fame-Asser.

ALRIGHT! NXT! #200! Lets make it count. Nice reminder of how NXT breeds stars - well, except for Fandango and Big E Langston out of that bunch. Shame for Big E, ain't it mate? Tyler Breeze defeating Tyson Kidd in the opener is good, a nice match to kick things off with tonight. Prince Pretty. I'm still not sold on Breeze as a main talent guy. Flashbacks during the show are a nice touch. Kassius Ohno! Fatty McGoo! I wonder what you'll do with him seeing as how WWE never got anywhere. A solid six diva tag team match coming up next with Natalya, Emma and Bayley getting the win over Summer Rae, Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox. Best choice out of the losing squad for Summer to get defeated, as she is obviously the least established on her side. William Regal truly is a royal clit. Awesome. Ascension versus The American Pitbulls, glad you've put this in and I would like to see you bring Richards and Edwards in to the fold. They'd be a great addition to the NXT fixture permanantely. Them losing was the best call, of course. I'd also like for them to be called Edwards and Richards over Billington and Cahill. Bad names. Or, if you do change them, it should be better than that. Leo Kruger, not Adam Rose, sweet. He is so much better as Kruger, ain't he? BADA BING, BADA BOOM! Realest guys in da room! They're cool doodoo. Meh, Corbin. Finally, the main event with Bo Dallas winning, rightfully, as Big Cass is cool but not NXT Champion material to me. Yet. Nice ending to the show with Kassius laying out Dallas, looking forward to a feud between them. A solid edition of NXT.

Good to see you back.
The amount of detail you go into is great and I'm a big fan of your show graphics. So sharp!
With only one show into the diary it's too early to judge your stories yet but I don't doubt your booking ability.
For me I would prefer more shows from you instead of the extras if I'm being honest. Let's get into the meat and veg of the diary!

#NXT2013 WWE NXT - Wednesday 25th December 2013 - Winter Park, FL (#201) Taped: Tuesday 17th December 2013 - Broadcast on WWE.com! "THE YEAR IN REVIEW"
Tonight on NXT:
- A look back on the year 2013 in NXT hosted by Renee Young. From Superstars that have left NXT for the WWE to future prospects in 2014. From appearances from the Wyatt Family to the Shield. From the NXT Heavyweight Championship to the NXT Women's Championship to the NXT Tag Team Championship. This hour looks at everything in 2013.
- Sami Zayn stops by for an interview with host Renee Young.
- In a battle of old lion against young lion, it's teacher versus student as veteran William Regal takes on Antonio Cesaro.
The opening graphic aired, introducing this week's edition of NXT featuring WWE Superstars of the past and the present. Following this came the opening video package for NXT as we cut to an empty Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida - Renee Young introducing us to the special Year in Review edition of NXT: the final episode of 2013. Young talked about how this hour would feature only the best moments to take place in Full Sail University: including one last moment when old school meets new school, as William Regal takes on Antonio Cesaro.
(00:02)
Renee Young begins by talking about the amount of now WWE Superstars that in the past year have progressed through NXT, showing video packages of each of them. She showed us the evolution of the Shield, as Seth Rollins went from NXT Champion to joining forces with fellow NXT alumnus Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, making a huge impact and having won the WWE Tag Team Championships and United States Championship respectively within the year 2013; the uprising of the Wyatt Family, who went from being NXT Tag Team Champions to graduating, and now being a huge threat to many WWE superstars including Kane, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk; Big E Langston, who started the year by winning the NXT Championship and is now the WWE Intercontinental Champion; among others, including Antonio Cesaro, Fandango and Curtis Axel. Young concluded the segment by talking about how the future continues to look bright as 2014 awaits. (00:04)
We cut to a pre-taped video from the Shield, as Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins conducted matters in the typical way: via camcorder. After introducing themselves, Rollins talked about the milestone year in which the Shield took after jumping to the main roster at the end of the last year, how he's glad he left NXT and went on to be such a huge impactful trio on the WWE roster. Dean Ambrose talked about their accolades so far, having manipulated so many WWE superstars, protecting the Authority, main eventing and main eventing and main eventing; and how they won the United States and Tag Team Championship gold. Roman Reigns concluded, talking about how maybe in the future they will return to their roots and dominate even more: but as far as the WWE is concerned, in 2014, the Shield takes over.
(00:06)
On June 20, 2013 the NXT Universe witnessed history when the first NXT Women's Champion was crowned. The 21 year-old from Norwich, England, Paige was victorious against Emma in the finals of an eight-Diva tournament to crown the first NXT Women's Champion, and in one of the most hard-fought Divas match all year round, Paige got the win against the Australian to become the inaugural champion. Paige has been NXT Women's Champion since, and continues to be a nominee to join the WWE Divas locker room going into 2014.
(00:08) Paige was shown with some pre-recorded comments in the backstage area, as the NXT Women's Champion talked about how she has learned a lot since signing with WWE last year; how you cannot trust anybody, how you cannot take a day off, and how you cannot take a step backwards. Paige said that she grew up wrestling, with her parents and her fellow siblings all being professional wrestlers - and now she's here, and she has made her presence felt, and that 2014 will be a big year because it will be her time to shine: and by the end of 2014 we will see this "little alt-girl" make her presence felt on the main WWE roster. Suddenly, the feed cut out...
(00:09)
A candle lit, and with that the mysterious Wyatt Family appeared, as the flame within the lantern of Bray Wyatt lit up the scene. The 'Eater of Worlds' talked about how they have conquered NXT, they have dominated all of the competition, and now he, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have taken to the WWE to bring down the machine. Wyatt laughed as he talked about bringing it all down, because he is about to change the game forever. But will he spare NXT? Wyatt continued to laugh before blowing out the lantern and disappearing into the dark.
(00:10)
Renee Young talked about what we have covered so far in this hour, as she talked about how we have seen the alumnus in NXT talk about their experiences and their developments they made through the Performance Center before beginning to talk about how the future is looking bright: transitioning us to a video package looking at the potential next wave of NXT superstars and divas with so many opportunities to make come 2014: including Aiden English, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, Tyler Breeze, Mojo Rawley and many more.
(00:12)
Renee Young went to transition on with what was coming up with the present mainstay superstars of the NXT roster when one-half of the Real Americans walked in, namely Antonio Cesaro. The 'Swiss Superman' said that he expected a much bigger atmosphere for tonight, because tonight the NXT Universe apparently will witness the demise of one of their heroes. Cesaro said that with all due respect to his old friend Mr Regal, tonight he plans on making an example out of the Brit. Cesaro said that many people have come up to him and said that he may be good but that Regal will always be better than him: and it burns him up. Cesaro said that he plans on making an example out of Mr Regal tonight, because it is time to pass the torch, and prove that the protegé can beat the mentor. Cesaro told Renee that tonight, he will make an example of Regal - so everybody in the WWE can see how vicious and merciless the 'Swiss Superman' Antonio Cesaro can really be.
(00:14)
Back on January 31, the inaugural NXT Tag Team Champions were crowned: and they were unexpected ones at that. High-flying superstar Adrian Neville landed his place in NXT as the Newcastle native teamed up with fellow Brit Oliver Grey to become NXT Tag Team Champions in a shocking twist of events - as many had assumed that they would fall at the hands of two rabid dogs by the names of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan of the Wyatt Family. But on this night, the Davids managed to overcome the Goliaths, the British Ambition victorious.
(00:16) In pre-recorded comments from Adrian Neville, we see the 'Man That Gravity Forgot' sitting down in the dressing room with the NXT Tag Team Championship next to him. Neville began to talk about how this year he has proven himself worthy as a top superstar, because not only was he the first NXT Tag Team Champion - but here he is, the first ever two-time NXT Tag Team Champion. And from here, maybe he can become the NXT Heavyweight Champion in 2014. Suddenly, in came Oliver Grey: Neville's original tag team partner not seen since being taken out by the Wyatt Family in June. Neville smiled as he greeted Grey and the two embraced in a hug; the British Ambition continuing to talk about how Grey's condition as he talked about how he couldn't wait to come back and kick some ass again. With that, the current tag team partner of Neville's, Corey Graves walked in as the other half of the NXT Tag Team Champions talked about how cute this little reunion was.
The 'Savior of Misbehavior' said that he was the one to pick up the ball that Grey dropped - and he did everything a whole lot better than Grey ever could. Neville told Graves to back off, but Oliver reasoned with the NXT Tag Team Champions, stating that he would be happy to meet Graves in the ring in his in-ring return next week to see if the so-called 'Savior of Misbehavior' could actually get the job done. Graves breathed heavily and walked out, as Neville and Oliver Grey continued to catch up on old times.
(00:18)
- NEXT WEEK: Corey Graves is vexed about Adrian Neville's former tag team partner Oliver Grey being back, but who is better? We'll find out when Corey Graves and Oliver Grey collide.
We returned to Renee Young in the empty Full Sail University, as the hostess of this episode of NXT was now joined by Sami Zayn, Renee talking about how 2013 has been one heck of a year for progress and evolving the next generation of the WWE through NXT. Sami agreed, talking about how 2013 was the year in which he evolved himself, he became a member of the NXT roster; he got a huge start by defeating Antonio Cesaro on his first night. He's proved himself time and time again to be a resilient competitor nobody can afford to take lightly, and even though he has failed at times where pressure has been on the line, he has come back from it: whether it be taking on Cesaro in rematches, whether it be challenging for the NXT Heavyweight Championship, whether it be anything. Zayn continued, stating that 2014 looks to be such a big year for him, because one way or another he will keep on climbing until he reaches the highest point: and when he gets to that stage, he will be the man on the mountain. Zayn concluded, making a confident guarantee that he would become the NXT Heavyweight Champion by the end of the year 2014.
(00:20)
- NEXT WEEK: After months of back and forth brawls, we will see Sami Zayn do battle with the mean South-African Leo Kruger in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
Back on May 23, we saw the climax of Bo Dallas turning his back on the NXT Universe, as after months of having the fans across the world turn on Dallas, Bo showed a new side weeks when he managed to do the unthinkable and defeat Big E Langston. The powerhouse had Bo right where he wanted him, and just when you thought the NXT Heavyweight Champion would once again be able to get the job done, Bo cheated to win; sending Big E into an exposed turnbuckle and stealing the win. Ever since, Bo Dallas has been the face of NXT: doing whatever it takes to win.
(00:22) In the dressing room, the NXT Heavyweight Champion had some pre-recorded comments to give to the NXT Universe. The smug Bo Dallas thanked the NXT Universe across the world for bolieving in Bo Dallas. Dallas talked about how he feels like he has inspired so many people and made the world a much more optimistic place. Bo talked about all of the hard work he has put in to making NXT the place for the future is outstanding, and that he hopes many people have been inspired by his Boptimism. Dallas said that maybe in 2014 the NXT Universe could bolieve, encouraging them to do new things, like maybe cheer him. Dallas promised the NXT Universe that in 2014.
Bo Dallas could be the world leader of NXT: still NXT Heavyweight Champion, still motivating people from all around the globe. Dallas grinned at the camera when suddenly Kassius Ohno came into shot and placed his arm around Dallas' neck - a mocking grin on his face. Bo asked Ohno what he wanted, Kassius telling Bo to keep smiling for the camera because he wouldn't be smiling for much longer. Dallas' smile turned to a nervous grin, as Ohno said that in 2014 we crown a new champion. Bo said that was unlikely, but Kassius simply laughed and disagreed: the two rivals still awkwardly smiling and acting pally for the camera.
(00:25) In the now packed Full Sail University Byron Saxton, Tom Philips and Tensai welcomed us to the NXT Christmas exclusive match, as they introduced a graphic for our main event, William Regal against Antonio Cesaro in Old School vs New School. A video package accompanied it, reviewing the storied career of Regal, going back from his days in Blackpool where he grew up fighting; to being one of the most gripping talents in World of Sport; to the United States where he became more and more known for his style in WCW and eventually, the WWE. Regal talked about how he made many mistakes throughout his career, and his legacy may be questionable, but he is thankful of one thing: introducing Antonio Cesaro. The package turned to when Cesaro debuted on WWE television, becoming United States Champion, a fearsome member of the WWE locker room. Cesaro talked about how he has always strived to be the best: and the man standing in his way of success is his old friend William Regal. For weeks, Cesaro tried to antagonise the Brit, including giving Regal a Neutralizer on the stage three weeks ago. Finally, the next week Regal snapped and unleashed a fury on the 'Swiss Superman', agreeing to the match at last. Tonight, on Christmas Day we will see who the better man is: it's Old School vs New School in the final match of NXT in the year 2013.
(00:28) Against a black backdrop, William Regal was shown prepping up for the main event, as Regal talked about how he's said in the past that he wonders exactly what his legacy is in professional wrestling. Regal said that he has fought with the best of them throughout his thirty year long career, and that he has never slowed down for anything. Whether it be through the many injuries he has sustained, the heart problem that almost ended his career and potentially his life, and nothing whether it be Antonio Cesaro or another member of the NXT Universe will stop him from greatness. Regal said that tonight, he proves to Cesaro - his old mate and protegé that he isn't afraid, and that he's not through. Regal said that tonight he may go down, but he will not go down without a fight - and that Cesaro should not underestimate him because the kid from Blackpool will make a return and bite back.
( 00: 30)
- NEXT WEEK: They've been opposing sides for a long time now, but who will get a future opportunity at the NXT Women's Championship? Emma and Summer Rae battle for contention next week.
#RegalVsCesaro OLD SCHOOL VS NEW SCHOOLWILLIAM REGAL vs ANTONIO CESARO After weeks of being pushed by the former protegé, this was the time for the old lion to step up to take on the new lion. The former Intercontinental, European and Tag Team Champion was going to prove to his former protegé that he was not to be taken lightly. The Swiss Antonio Cesaro made a point to take threats at Regal on his way to the ring, as Regal seemed unphased by Cesaro's antics up until belltime. Cesaro and Regal locked up, but Cesaro tripped the veteran and sent the villain to the canvas. The 'Swiss Superman' appeared to be doing just what Regal told him not to, and that's when Regal tripped Cesaro with a drop toe hold and went right for a headlock! Regal and Cesaro then enagged in some classic mat-wrestling, as Cesaro switched the headlock on Regal, before Regal brought Cesaro to his feet and flipped him backwards! Regal went for the arm of Cesaro, as the British brawler from Blackpool wrenched the arm of Cesaro just for Antonio to make a swift reversal into one of his own: and Cesaro went for an armwrench on Regal just for Regal to turn it into a waistlock, trying to take Cesaro down but the skillful Cesaro remained on his feet and took Regal down with a waistlock takedown instead.
Cesaro refused to let go, but Regal refused to give in to Cesaro's chain-wrestling skills, slipping out of it and going right back to the arm wrench, turning it into a hammerlock - but Cesaro was once again at the top of his game, reversing it and then dropping Regal with a German suplex! Cesaro went for another headlock on Regal, this time pulling on the nose of Regal as he did it - but Regal got his forearm in the way of Cesaro and flipped Cesaro over with a northern lights suplex before going for a cover for one. The pure strength of Cesaro showed as he lifted the two of them and went for a backslide just for Regal to land on his feet and rock the Swiss man with a stiff forearm. Cesaro returned the favor however, and the two continued to trade blows before Regal took the arm of Cesaro and locked in the armwrench on Cesaro; the Brit having Cesaro in pain and at his mercy! Antonio was able however to reach the bottom rope quickly, which only motivated Regal further to keep the hold applied until the count of four.
Cesaro retreated to the apron where he sweeped the legs of Regal from beneath him, tripping him to the canvas. Cesaro then re-entered the ring and delivered a double stomp to the Brit, the young lion focusing on the torso whilst at the same time proving his pure power, nailing a gutwrench suplex on the thicker Regal before keeping the arms applied, a bear hug applied. Regal wasn't giving in though, as he continued to struggle, and Cesaro had to switch the hold to a front facelock - which Regal turned into a cover for a near fall. Cesaro back on the front facelock, the 'Swiss Superman' bringing Regal to his feet where he sent Regal into the ropes for a back elbow! Cesaro was certainly proving himself as the next generation to close out the year, but Regal was quick to his feet and rocked Cesaro with a European uppercut of his own! Cesaro was stunned, and Regal followed up with an exploder suplex for two.
Regal waited for Cesaro to re-amount to offense but Cesaro was smart and instead allowed Regal to try for a double-underhook suplex just for Cesaro to headbutt Regal in the gut before nailing the NXT trainer with a firm headbutt to the skull. Cesaro continued with his brute tactics, connecting with a Michinoku driver for two - Cesaro cranking his head as if to be setting up for the uppercut or the Neutralizer. Regal however was wiser and caught Cesaro upon getting back to his feet, nailing his protegé with not one, not two but three knee lifts into the jaw of Cesaro! Regal came off the ropes, but ran straight into a clothesline powerfully taking Regal down again!
Antonio checked on his jaw, showing fatigue after the attack at the hands of Regal. Cesaro locked in a cravate on Regal, but Regal was too wise to the hold, and found a way out before rebounding off the ropes with a Knee Trembler! Regal hooked the leg for one, for two, but Cesaro kicked out at two! Regal seemed impressed with Cesaro's resilience and grabbed the leg for a Regal Stretch attempt, but Cesaro managed to block his bad arm by hooking the head of Regal into the canvas, slamming it repeatedly against the canvas! Cesaro had weakened the hold and blocked Regal out, before slowly getting up to his feet and nailing Regal with the Super Uppercut! Cesaro fell on top of Regal, but the veteran would not stay down still!
Cesaro was wondering what he had to do at this point, but Regal continued to shake his head in denial of forfeiting yet at least. Cesaro tried to get Regal ready for the Neutralizer, but Regal headbutted Cesaro! His back turned, Regal got the leg of Cesaro hooked and connected with the Regal-Plex - but Cesaro was defiant and kicked out yet again! Regal decided to try to be more merciless against Cesaro as he locked in the chickenwing crossface on that weakened arm of Cesaro - but the 'Swiss Sensation' powered out and dropped Regal with a backdrop! Regal landed on his feet, and rocked Cesaro with another uppercut - to which Cesaro replied with one of his own: Regal and Cesaro repeating this over and over, the fans in the Full Sail University applauding the competitive nature of this battle: until Regal's attempt at a fifth uppercut was blocked, and Cesaro dropped Regal with another Super Uppercut! Regal down and out, the Swiss Superstar decided to play it safe, cranking the neck and going for another Neutralizer - Regal blocking it! Cesaro then decided to give Regal one last headlock - gracefully holding the dazed head of Regal in his arms and speaking some words to him: finally dropping him with a Neutralizer giving Cesaro the decisive three count at 24:22.
WINNER: ANTONIO CESARO (***3/4)
The NXT Universe exploded in applause, as the theme of the Real Americans hit and Antonio Cesaro's limp arm was raised in victory. The 'Swiss Superman' was victorious, as William Regal was left unconscious. Regal's legacy could have been proven here, being so competitive and effective in the ring. Cesaro celebrated and began to leave, as Regal was attended to by two referees. Regal was helped out of the ring among chants of 'this is awesome' from the respectful Full Sail University - the announce team left speechless by the brutality of this match. Regal and the officials reached the ramp - where Cesaro then returned and approached Regal, the 'Swiss Superman' offering Regal a hand shake, the old lion accepting. Cesaro and Regal embraced in hug as they returned to the backstage area with the referees helping both - as the NXT announce team wished viewers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, bringing NXT in 2013 to an eventful close, going off the air.

NXT News of the Week (December 26, 2013 - January 1, 2014)
- There are no current updates on the statuses of Derek Billington (Davey Richards) and Jon Cahill (Eddie Edwards) after their NXT tryouts last week. We previously reported that WWE may have began negotiations with the two, but this is yet to be determined. We hope to have a further update next week. (December 24, 2013)
- There are new rumours circulating this week of a future NXT special airing on WWE.com. Of course, this is pure speculation, but these rumours are saying that this NXT special will run similar to how current pay-per-views are ran, just two hours long rather than three. (December 27, 2013)
- WWE management are currently high on the talents of NXT superstar Tyler Breeze, and big things are planned for him, as higher ups feel that he has a very marketable look and a presentable in-ring style due
some more seasoning before potentially advancing to the main roster. (December 28, 2013) |

#WWENXT WWE NXT - Wednesday 1st January 2014 - Winter Park, FL (#202) Taped: Tuesday 17th December 2013 - Broadcast on WWE.com! "THE HUNTER BECOMES THE HUNTED"
Tonight on NXT:
- It's the first NXT of the year 2014, and the main event is a grudge match between recent rivals Sami Zayn and Leo Kruger - in a Falls Count Anywhere main event.
- The number one contender to the NXT Heavyweight Championship Kassius Ohno is in action as he faces off with NXT's 'Moon Child' C.J. Parker.
- In a number one contender's match for a future shot at Paige's NXT Women's Championship, Emma faces off with Summer Rae of the BFFs.
- NXT Tag Team Champion Corey Graves has a chip on his shoulder as tag partner Adrian Neville's former British Ambition partner Oliver Grey is back in action. Corey Graves battles Oliver Grey tonight.
The opening graphic aired, introducing this week's edition of NXT featuring WWE Superstars of the past and the present. A video package followed, reviewing the year 2013: covering Big E Langston and then Bo Dallas winning the NXT Heavyweight Championship; the crowning of new championships - the NXT Tag Team and Women's Championship; the amazing matches between Sami Zayn and Antonio Cesaro; and the meteoric rise of NXT as a brand for the future. A voiceover narrated as it focused on last week's main event between the 'Swiss Superman' Antonio Cesaro and William Regal in which Cesaro won - stating that 2013 was about establishment, but 2014 was about starting the NXT Generation. The opening video package for WWE NXT aired, as it cut to the Full Sail University as Byron Saxton, Tensai and Tom Philips introduced us to the New Year of NXT; touting a big way to kick off the year with Sami Zayn taking on recent rival Leo Kruger in a Falls Count Anywhere match; plus, the 'Knockout Kid' Kassius Ohno will be in action! But to kick things off...
(00:02)
COREY GRAVES vs OLIVER GREY ENDED IN A NO CONTEST - This match was set up last week on the Year in Review episode of NXT, as the previously injured Oliver Grey showed up to catch up with former British Ambition partner Adrian Neville; but the former NXT Tag Team Champions' conversation was suddenly interrupted by Neville's current partner - the 'Savior of Misbehavior' Corey Graves. The NXT Tag Team Champion challenged his partner's former partner Grey to a match tonight in Grey's return to the ring. Oliver Grey seemed to have not skipped a beat either, as the Devon, England born Grey started off strongly, catching Graves with a discus clothesline at the start up and keeping Graves on the edge with a big knee drop, seemingly rushing to get the win over Graves. Grey continued with his offense, but Graves immediately targeted the previously torn ligament of Oliver's leg, the 'Tattooed Tyrant' nailing Oliver with a chop block followed up by repeated stomps over the leg of the Brit. The current NXT Tag Team Champion continued to work over it, as he set up for the single legged Boston Crab - locking it in nicely whilst Grey was left riving in pain! Graves had Grey on the verge of submission, but that's when Grey managed to reach the ropes. But Corey hadn't finished with Oliver, instead deciding to go for the Lucky 13 - the deadly submission surely going to put Oliver back on the shelf he came off of for tonight - but instead Grey made a comeback, a German suplex for Graves, followed by a second - and a third! Oliver Grey was limping around but in a resilient twist was setting up for the Twisting Brainbuster...until the lights flicked, and when they returned, the Ascension were in the ring both sides of Grey, the referee throwing the match at 8:43. **1/4
Konnor and Viktor connected with the Fall of Man on Oliver to loud boos, before the number one contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championships started focusing on the groggy Corey Graves - that is until Graves' partner and Grey's friend Adrian Neville ran down to the ring; the 'Man That Gravity Forgot' taking down Viktor with several dropkicks followed up with a snap enzuigiri - but Corey Graves suddenly shoved Neville to the canvas and bailed! Graves left his own tag partner to take the Fall of Man from Konnor and Viktor! The Ascension stood tall over Neville and Grey as Graves looked on from the rampway, the NXT Tag Team Championship clutched on his shoulder. Only a matter of time until the Ascension get their next opportunity at the Tag Team Championship.
(00:16)
In the backstage area, Sylvester Lefort was shown standing by with Alexander Rusev, as Lefort spoke to Rusev about how he has right in choosing him to be his manager because next week he has something big planned for him: the 'Bulgarian Behemoth' will get to take on a WWE Superstar, that superstar being the Miz. Rusev nodded, as he told Lefort in broken English that he should warn the 'Awesome One'. When Lefort asked why, Rusev said that he would crush him next week. Suddenly, the two talking were interrupted by the singing of Aiden English. With that, the professional singer walked on-screen and asked if he could speak to Lefort. With that, the French businessman told Rusev that he'd return soon, seemingly going to talk business with English.
(00:17)
THE SUPER FRIENDS def. KALISTO & SIN CARA - Kalisto and Sin Cara in recent weeks have proven to be a potential threat to the NXT Tag Team Championship currently in the possession of the ever-dysfunctional Adrian Neville and Corey Graves - but tonight they were up against a new tag team that was organised several weeks ago between Yoshi Tatsu and Xavier Woods. And so, this was a very fast-paced match between the two teams as the Full Sail crowd didn't know who to side with. Kalisto squared off with Xavier Woods, as Woods tried to dance and impress the crowd which just caused Kalisto to break out the acrobatics, a hurricanrana followed up with a spinning inverted DDT; Kalisto and Sin Cara proceeding to cooperate the only way they know how: with lucha. Sin Cara nailed a plancha on Woods on the outside, which is when Yoshi Tatsu entered the ring and rolled up Kalisto with his feet on the ropes for a cheap victory! The fans booed at the strange technique of victory utilized by the fan favourite Yoshi in 4:46. **
Yoshi Tatsu celebrated in victory excitedly whilst Kalisto looked around in slight shock. Tatsu jumped out of the ring and celebrated with Xavier Woods, who repeatedly commented that Kalisto and Sin Cara had gotten schooled by the Super Friends tonight! Woods was obnoxious in rubbing it in their faces, as Kalisto and Sin Cara continued to watch on from the ring in confusion.
(00:23) Returning to the backstage area, Sami Zayn was shown in the NXT dressing room, getting prepared for the upcoming Falls Count Anywhere match. Suddenly, in came Antonio Cesaro - Zayn's rival. Cesaro commented on how he heard Zayn has a match with Leo Kruger today, almost mockingly wishing Sami luck. Zayn asked Cesaro why he really came here, questioning why he thinks that he needs "luck". Cesaro chuckled, as he told Sami that he's watched and seen Zayn blow so many opportunities to advance, and he just wanted to show his support to him. The 'Swiss Superman' said that Zayn will never be in his shoes defeating greats like William Regal, or winning championships if he keeps choking. Cesaro then told Zayn to win tonight - not to choke...
(00:25)
NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS - EMMA def. SUMMER RAE - With the stakes higher, these two NXT Divas who have been rivals in the past had a chance to compete in a number one contenders' match tonight with the winner set to take on Paige for the NXT Women's Championship in two weeks time. The Australian meeting the dance partner of Fandango, Summer Rae oozed confidence early on, as the leader of the BFFs slapped Emma at the beginning of the match, causing Emma to strike back, using several forearms and sending Summer Rae to the outside. Emma wasn't done yet though, after taking so many beatings from the duo of Summer Rae and Sasha Banks in the past couple of months. Summer fought back though, sending Emma right into the ring post! Rae continued to work away at the Australian back in the ring, using her long legs as an advantage in a headscissors, as well as choking Emma in the corner with her boot. Emma soon made a comeback however, a hard clothesline taking Summer Rae down. Emma followed up with the Emma-Mite Sandwich and trying to go to the top rope - just for Summer to crotch her. Summer Rae decided to try and finish Emma with the Summer Crush, but Emma reversed it and catapulted Summer before applying the Emma Lock, with Rae being forced to tap out at 6:25! **1/4Emma celebrated her victory with her dancing to the NXT Universe's delight whilst Summer Rae sold frustration on the canvas whilst recovering from the Emma Lock. The theme of Paige then hit, cutting off the dance rhythm of Emma. The Australian watched on as the 'Anti-Diva' arrived and walked down to the ring, the NXT Women's Champion smiling Emma in a glance of congratulations - before raising the title high. The next challenge for Emma was by taking on her competitive best friend.(00:34)
(00:35)
KASSIUS OHNO def. C.J. PARKER - Ever the green-friendly, C.J. Parker was ready for singles action against the number one contender to the NXT Heavyweight Championship, Kassius Ohno. Ohno illustrated before the match that he was ready to dethrone the ever-obnoxious Bo Dallas as champion, and he also demonstrated this two weeks ago on NXT when he KO'd the NXT Heavyweight Champion as well. The 'Knockout Kid' was not here to play games tonight however, as he got into this match and straight off the bat clobbered the dreadlocked C.J. Parker with the discus elbow smash knocking Parker out for the win in approximately 00:40. n/aThe fans erupted in the Full Sail University as Kassius Ohno celebrated his very quick victory tonight against CJ Parker. The 'Knockout Kid's hand was raised, before the theme of the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas played and out came the forever smiling Face of NXT. Bo Dallas smiled at Ohno as he had a microphone in hand, stood at the top of the rampway. Dallas, with the title belt on his shoulder talked about how proud he is of Ohno, because tonight he has shown how he can outshine an NXT superstar like CJ Parker - and maybe two weeks ago he showed that he can even outshine Bo himself...after a high-jeopardy match for the NXT Championship. Dallas commented on how cowardly it is of Ohno, and how selfish it is for Kassius to deprive the NXT Universe of long, exciting, hard-hitting, back-and-forth battles! Bo said that he knows how Ohno rolls now, which is why he's thought ahead and planned this out: next week, Kassius Ohno...running the gauntlet! Dallas said that he has three NXT superstars planned to face Ohno back-to-back. If Kassius has the testosterone to do it. And then maybe if Kassius can manage that, he can have Bo Dallas one-on-one in a match type OF his choosing! Bo grinned to boos, as he continued stating that if Ohno couldn't get the job done and proved how cowardly he is, then Bo Dallas gets to choose the stipulation! Dallas thanked the NXT Universe for their time, before wishing the 'Knockout Kid' luck in his gauntlet next week.
(00:39)
- NEXT WEEK: NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas has laid out the challenge, as his rival Kassius Ohno runs Dallas' gauntlet: three opponents, one challenge. If Ohno survives, he gets to name the stipulation for his NXT title rematch with Bo: if Kassius fails however, Bo Dallas gets to choose said stipulation.
In a dark room, Leo Kruger was shown plotting just moments before his falls count anywhere match with Sami Zayn. Kruger said that the reckoning time was upon the career of Sami Zayn, because with the new year upon us, Kruger has declared that it is now his time and that time to strike is tonight. Harsh words, with the main event coming up next.
(00:40)
#FallsCountAnywhere FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCHSAMI ZAYN vs LEO KRUGER With Leo Kruger declaring his intentions going into this match, he made it extremely clear before the match even began: a motivated Sami Zayn coming out of his previous, tense discussion with Antonio Cesaro, made his way out to the ring just to get jumped by Kruger on the rampway! Kruger pounded away on Zayn with several forearms before sending him down the ramp onto the ringside area. Kruger planned to make an example of Zayn, and add him to his trophy case of NXT superstars he has beaten in the past. Kruger continued to pound away at Zayn at the ringside area, going as far as connecting with a suplex on the outside floor. The bell hadn't sounded yet though, and Kruger proceeded to roll Zayn into the ring to officially started this falls count anywhere match for a near fall only a few seconds in. Kruger followed up with more forearms to the head of Zayn; the South-African seemingly poised to damage the facial features of the Syrian-Canadian! Kruger continued on the attack, a facebuster connecting for yet another two-count. Kruger was not wasting any time, but as per Sami Zayn was ever resilient, fighting back and nailing Kruger with a drop toe hold before applying an STF, but Kruger quickly got to the bottom rope.
Zayn wanted more of Kruger, but the bounty hunter decided to retreat at ringside - until Zayn came over the top rope with a flying senton plancha! Zayn covered, but Kruger managed to kick out at two. Zayn followed up, sending Kruger into the steel steps causing Leo to take a tumble: when Zayn decided to go to another level, connecting with a tornado DDT on the ring mats! Kruger was down, but still managed to kick out at two. Zayn was set on putting away Kruger after weeks of having the South-African on his back, pulling out all of the stops to "not choke" as Cesaro put it earlier on tonight. Kruger managed to fight back again though, a clothesline taking Zayn down and out on the rampway! Kruger then sent Zayn over the guard rail into the NXT Universe; this fight now seemingly going all around the Full Sail University. The two brawled their way through the hundreds of fans in attendance, Kruger and then Zayn trading blows, but ultimately Kruger prevailed with his underhanded tactics.
The two brawled their way to the concession area, where Kruger had Zayn on the table, planning to jump off of a nearby stand onto the resilient Zayn - but Sami would fight his way off with several elbows before standing up on the concession stand and diving off with a hurricanrana on Kruger! Zayn covered, but the referee got two. The battle continued, as they reached one of the fire exits to the Full Sail University: and Kruger sent Zayn sailing through them, opening the doors causing Zayn to fall into the arms of none other than Antonio Cesaro! The 'Swiss Superman' caught Zayn and delivered a huge European Uppercut to Zayn as the fans in Winter Park booed loudly; Kruger covering...but for two! Kruger and Cesaro met eyes with one another, as they decided to double team Zayn into defeat: firstly bringing him back to the ringside area - but when they reached the guard rail, Zayn fought back with a clothesline to Cesaro before diving over the guard rail onto Kruger, connecting with an amazing tornado DDT in one sequence! Zayn covered, but once again got a near fall.
The battle continued into the ring, as Zayn traded blows with Kruger, but thanks to the presence of Cesaro climbing onto the apron, Kruger caught Zayn off guard with the spinebuster for yet another two count! At that point Cesaro decided to get involved yet again, cranking his neck and preparing for the toss-up Uppercut - but Zayn reversed with a dropkick sending Cesaro through the ropes! Zayn refocused near the corner, where Kruger tried to charge with a clothesline in the corner on Leo - but Sami dodged it and nailed Kruger with a Helluva Kick for the inevitable three count at 14:22.
WINNER: SAMI ZAYN (***)
The NXT Universe erupted in applause for the resilient Sami Zayn, who did exactly the opposite of Antonio Cesaro's previous comments and came out victorious under great pressure in what was essentially a handicap match. The Syrian-Canadian's hand was raised in victory after a tough falls count anywhere, when he met eyes with Antonio Cesaro, glaring at him from the ringside area. The two glared at one another, great rivals sure to reach another chapter in their established rivalry: but the fact remained; Sami Zayn did not choke tonight against Leo Kruger. The first episode of NXT in 2014 then went off the air.

NXT News of the Week (December 31, 2013 - January 7, 2014)
- In an update from two weeks ago, WWE has allegedly extended a contract offer to American Wolves member Eddie Edwards. Edwards, who previously wrestled on NXT last month (aired two weeks ago) under the name 'Jon Cahill' alongside fellow American Wolves member Davey Richards (under the alias 'Derek Billington'). Richards as far as we are aware has not been offered a contract, so it could be a matter of waiting for Davey to confirm his status, or that Eddie is the only member to have been offered one. On a related note, the reason WWE have only just offered Edwards this contract six weeks after competing at the NXT taping is to test the feedback from television viewers as well as the social media reaction to the American Wolves' involvement. We will continue to have more updates as they come to us. (January 1, 2014)
- In what is huge news for the WWE as a whole, after two years since its' original announcement of its' launch, the WWE Network has been officially announced. In a huge press conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Network was unveiled for launching in the United States on February 24. Included in this is NXT: which currently airs exclusively on WWE.com. This could lead to a big change for NXT, as with being held on its' own WWE ran network, we could see an expansion of NXT in terms of a time slot, or even begin featuring "big events" (much like WWE pay-per-views which now may not be known as pay-per-view now due to its' airing on the WWE Network). Much more to be told about this story. (January 7, 2014)
- Former TNA referee Rudy Charles has began touring on the road with WWE and made his first appearance on NXT last week. His WWE official persona is now 'Dan Engler'. (January 5, 2014) |

WWE NXT Live Event: January 3, 2014Largo, Florida - Minnreg Hall
Approximately 200 fans on hand for this show in Largo, Florida. A lot of the audience seemed quite enthusiastic about the in-ring product and the roster participating in tonight's show, with a few exceptions (which will be noted). The next time NXT comes to Largo will be on May 2, 2014. Eden was the ring announcer for the show tonight.
| Sasha Banks def. Bayley at 5:03 after the Bank Statement by Banks. An impressive Divas match, but nothing less could be expected from the NXT Divas. Banks showed a lot of charisma but at the same time was still quite green, whereas with the fans greatly backing Bayley in this match, she shined on several occasions. Banks blocked the Bayley-to-Belly suplex and nailed her finish for the win. Banks may need more work as a character, as fans didn't know how to take her as well as she would if her fellow BFF Summer Rae was here. Bayley was well received by the Largo fanbase.
| Tye Dillinger def. Sawyer Fulton at 5:25 after the Death Valley Driver. Tye Dillinger once featured on ECW back in 2008 under the name 'Gavin Spears'. He seemed to have improved a lot in the past six years, going up against NXT enhancement talent Sawyer Fulton in a competitive, short match. The fans didn't really react to Sawyer, but surprisingly got behind Dillinger despite him not being on television properly. Dillinger was portraying a party boy gimmick, whilst Fulton worked as a booksmart rookie biting off more than he can chew. The fans were into Dillinger's shenanigans.
| Alexander Rusev def. Danny Burch & Jason Jordan at 3:12 after the Accolade on Jordan. Rusev was managed to the ring by Sylvester Lefort, and the fans really did not like Lefort bugging them at ringside throughout this one. A mainly one-sided affair with some attempts at offense made by Burch and Jordan - who the fans wanted to get behind but knew would not succeed. Rusev ragdolled them and got the win quickly in this handicap match. After the match, Rusev and Lefort's victory would be cut off by the arrival of Mason Ryan, conveniently also here for a handicap match.
| Mason Ryan def. Troy McClain & Slate Randall by disqualification at 2:16 after Alexander Rusev jumped Ryan. The fans in Largo were behind the Welshman as he dismantled his opponents in a fashion similar to Alexander Rusev moments ago - but the fans did not get into McClain or Randall one bit - probably due to their lack of exposure on NXT television. Ryan had McClain ready for the Hercules Cutter when Rusev attacked prompting the DQ finish. The two men proceeded to brawl, which Ryan came out on top of, nailing Rusev with a full nelson slam and sending him packing to the entrance way.
| Tyler Breeze def. Kalisto at 8:38 after the Beauty Shot. The fans hated Tyler Breeze, earning him some of the biggest boos of the night. Kalisto meanwhile, despite still being new to the NXT roster was pretty over, his athletic background and use of lucha-esque skills winning him over with the Largo crowd. Breeze however continued to manipulate the pace, and after some competitive back and forth action, the student of Lance Storm's got the win after a surprisingly lengthy bout. Breeze mockingly posed with his iPhone after the match, whilst also badmouthing members of the crowd.
| Aiden English was out next, allegedly for a singing competition in which he called out anybody in the backstage area. English said that he would be giving away too much by performing in the ring tonight, running down the Largo crowd - that is until Colin Cassady interrupted, accompanied by the wheelchair bound Enzo Amore. Cassady challenged English to a singing contest, of which Big Cass performed 'Oh Danny Boy' surprisingly really well. The two exchanged banter through song, before Cassady was cut off by English attacking him: but Cassady managed to run English off. The fans loved Enzo and Big Cass's shtick, but struggled to properly understand English's gimmick.
| NXT Tag Team Champions Adrian Neville & Corey Graves def. the Ascension to retain the titles at 15:07. A hard-fought match with the NXT Tag Team Champions not previously being advertised for this show. Playing the dysfunctional tag team, Corey Graves insisted he start off the match, prompting him to get greedy and refuse to tag in the more agile Adrian Neville, prompting boos for Graves when he refused to tag in his partner. The Ascension pounded away at Graves throughout, almost putting him away until Neville got a blind tag and went on a flurry of offense (the fans loved him). Konnor and Viktor then proceeded to isolate Neville too, however. Graves then got the hot tag and cleared house until Neville took the hot tag back blindly, hitting the Red Arrow on Viktor for the victory. The fans did not like Graves whilst loving Neville. However, Largo did also get behind the Ascension. This was probably the match of the night.
| Baron Corbin def. Angelo Dawkins at 1:28 after the Flatliner. Corbin crushed the television enhancement talent quickly in a sneak peek of what Corbin can bring to the table when he debuts on NXT television in a few weeks. The fans seemed to be impressed with what they saw. This also acted as a filler between the main matches.
| NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas def. Kassius Ohno, Sami Zayn & Leo Kruger to retain the title in a fatal four-way match at 17:59. A high energy multi-man match, as Bo Dallas was isolated by himself surrounded by three NXT Superstars he has previously cheated against to retain his title. Every NXT Superstar had a hot spot where they almost got the victory, but it wasn't meant to be. Zayn and Ohno had a huge one-on-one confrontation where Zayn went for the Helluva Kick just for Ohno to reverse and KO Zayn - of course Dallas was there to sly his way in and roll up Ohno with the tights for the victory. The fans loved this match despite a few botches in the quality of the match - all four characters obviously being fronted as the strongest in NXT today. After the match Bo celebrated his win and was so excited he tried shaking his opponents' hands - but received every one of their finishers as a result: the Kruger's End, followed up by the Helluva Kick - and finally the KO. Kassius and Zayn celebrated to bring the show to a close.

Start of the new year, start of the new generation. Ya feel me? Corey Graves versus Oliver Grey could be a good match, and it seems to have been. I wish WWE kept Grey, he had loads of potential and had a good look. The Ascension running interference is good to build storylines. Graves is the wildcard here and I like that. Sylvester Lefort is a good manager, but I really hope Lana comes in at some time. Because it's Lana. Aiden English with Lefort? Eh, I could dig it. Good Paige promo, by the way. Yoshi Tatsu and Xavier Woods could be a good team, although I can see them turning heel. A trio of them with Bo Dallas could be highly entertaining, might I add. Good tension filled promo between Zayn and Cesaro. I loved their series and I hope you do them justice. Ohh, Emma vs Paige in the future should be a nice treat. You can have a lot of good matches between the two. I can't wait for Baron Corbin. I like that you're bringing him in a lot earlier than he actually did. A good win for Kassius Ohno. I hope you give him a good 2014 instead of releasing him. I can't wait to see Kassius vs Dallas. Should be a good feud, and the thought of Zayn vs Ohno is enticing. Finally, a good main event tonight with Zayn being the right guy to go over. I really hope you continue the Cesaro and Zayn feud. Good show.

Alright, NXT! It's a new damn, it's a new day, it's a new year and it's the future! THEROAROFTHECROWDSTOMPYOUR. Okay, I'm done. Moving forward. Corey Graves and Oliver Gray here in the opener going to a no contest with The Ascension's arrival to mess err'thang up. Bring it, Ascension. Rusev no need Sylvester Lefort. Rusev need Lana. And anal. Same thing. Hi Paige. Go ahead and try and prove yourself, I dare you! The Super Friends of Xavier Woods and Yoshi Tatsu is the lels. I would rather see a push of Kalisto and Cara, honestly. But I could see The Super Friends being that fluke team that just wins on accident, pretty much. Sami Zayn, win tonight and don't choke. Nice words of advice... sort of. Damn, Cesaro, get some mike skills. Moving on, Emma becoming the number one contender over Summer Rae was the clear best choice. Come on, Summer Rae sucks. Baron Corbin, the American Bad Ass! Or, Chuck Palumbo. I'm curious to see what you do with him starting in three weeks. Kassius Ohno beating CJ Parker was the right call with him being Kassius Ohno and all. Bo Dallas. E-gad. Three superstars to face Ohno next week? Oh no! See what I did there? Man, am I a riot or what? Keep. Leo. Kruger. Screw Adam Rose. What an insane filled falls count anywhere match with Zayn put through the ringer to lose, only for him to pull off the win fantastically. A feud between him and Cesaro continuing? I can dig it for now. A solid edition of NXT, looking forward to more, Danielson.

NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPION PAIGE def. SASHA BANKS - Last week we found out the number one contender to the NXT Women's Championship when Emma defeated Summer Rae, but this week it was the NXT Women's Champion Paige taking on the other half of the BFFs, Sasha Banks. With Paige taking on her friend Emma next week for the NXT Women's Championship, it had to be interesting for Paige stepping up and preparing for action against her friend in taking on 'the Boss' tonight. Paige took down Banks hard several times in the opening moments of the match, the British 'Anti-Diva' taking care of Banks until Sasha had decided she had had enough, attempting to walk out of the match with Paige! Banks had Paige tricked however, as Paige followed her and attempted to bring her back to the ring, just for Banks to nail Paige with a double knee to the chest of Paige, sending the 'Anti-Diva' to the floor hard. Banks continued to prance around the ring taunting Paige, as she continued the attack in the ring as the announce team pondered what a huge win it would be for Banks' career in pinning the NXT Women's Champion in non-title action ahead of the champ's title bout next week. Banks continued to work away at Paige, focusing her offense on the core muscles of Paige - literally bending and stretching Paige over her knee following a backbreaker. But with the NXT Universe behind her, Paige starting to stir; eventually returning to her feet and blocking an attempt at the Bank Statement by Banks into the short-arm clothesline; Paige following up with another one before Banks tried to come back with a bulldog; Paige dropping Banks and going for the Cradle DDT of hers - but Banks fought out of it and went for Bankrupt - Paige once again blocking it and connecting with the Paige-Turner, the NXT Women's Champion getting the win at 6:20! **
Paige celebrated her win after the bell, the NXT Women's Champion with her hand raised after a competitive opening contest to NXT tonight. Emma came out to the rampway to watch on just like Paige did for her after Emma's match last week, the two Divas exchanging smiles at one another, with their match for the Women's Championship taking place next Thursday night here on NXT.

Devin Taylor was seen in the interview section of the Full Sail University, as Taylor was standing by with one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, Corey Graves. Devin wanted to ask the 'Savior of Misbehavior' about his problems with other NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville and his former partner Oliver Grey. Graves talked about how he knew right from the minute he stepped on the apron with Neville that he would be outshone by the British Ambition so he decided to make Neville and Grey look foolish. Graves continued, talking about how he does not like Neville, and as far as Graves is concerned, Neville can go and lose every single night: but he's not letting it happen because they are the NXT Tag Team Champions. Graves continued, saying that he is proving time and time again that Neville is the weak link, and that he is the strong link. Graves said that without him, Neville probably wouldn't even be in NXT let alone be one-half of the Tag Team Champions. Suddenly, the Ascension walked in on Graves' interview; Konnor and Viktor either side of Corey. They simply looked him up and down before telling Graves that his time is over. Graves simply clutched his title belt and walked away, as the Ascension watched him leave.(00:12)
In the backstage area Sylvester Lefort was seen with Alexander Rusev as Lefort talked to Rusev about this big opportunity tonight; his match against WWE Superstar Miz still to come as Lefort told the Bulgarian Giant that he had this match won, without a doubt. Suddenly in walked Aiden English, as the ever-vocalized English shook hands with Lefort and tried to shake Rusev's hand to no response. Rusev seemed confused, as Sylvester introduced Rusev to English; announcing that English was now officially a part of the Legionnaires! Lefort was excited as Rusev smiled at English, then turning serious as he told English not to get in his way or wind up getting crushed.
(00:13) ALEXANDER RUSEV def. THE MIZ - The 'Awesome One' arrived on NXT tonight, but the former WWE Champion had one heck of a ride ahead of him, ready to go one-on-one with the 'Bulgarian Brute' Alexander Rusev. Miz attempted to use agility in order to bypass Rusev, firing away at his larger opponent with several lefts and rights, but when the Miz attempted to go for a clothesline, Rusev took him down hard with a big sidewalk slam! Rusev continued to dominate Miz, choking him with his bare foot and continuing to showboat in a method to show his superiority against Miz. Rusev then applied a nerve hold on the 'Awesome One' - but Miz fired back and kicked his opponent low whilst Sylvester Lefort watched on from ringside. Lefort seemed frantic, as Miz kicked out of it and went for the exposed knees of Rusev, the 'Bulgarian Brute' weakened by this; as Miz charged Rusev into the corner, connecting with his running clothesline in the corner, stunning Rusev! The Bulgarian dropped to a knee, as Miz then followed up with a DDT on Rusev, covering for a near fall. Miz seemed to be setting up for the figure-four leglock, but when he locked it in on Rusev, Sylvester Lefort got on the apron to distract the official! Miz had Rusev riving in pain but not in any way planning on tapping out - and Miz made the mistake of taking his eye off of the game, targeting Lefort on the apron but that proved to be his biggest mistake: Rusev limping up behind Miz and nailing him with a huge side kick! Rusev then locked in the Accolade, and despite Miz's best efforts, he had to tap at 7:24. *3/4
The NXT Universe booed loudly as Alexander Rusev's hand was raised in victory, the 'Bulgarian Brute' proving his dominance tonight against a former WWE Champion, the Miz! Rusev celebrated alongside Sylvester Lefort, when the voice of Aiden English was heard. English sang about being a part of the alliance of Legionnaires alongside Lefort and Rusev, as this time around Rusev seemed happy to see English: Lefort having gained the forever singing Aiden English as a client to the Legionnaires!
(00:23)
In the Gorilla position, the narcissistic Tyler Breeze was caught up by Renee Young, who wanted to grab a few comments from Breeze before his match tonight with Colin Cassady - as Breeze commented on Renee looking "almost pretty" tonight. Tyler talked about how he has had a successful run in NXT so far: he has beaten some of the best that NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield has put before him, but soon enough Breeze will catch JBL's ugly eyes and make him realize that he has "star" written all over him. Tyler said that tonight he will dispose of that 'Big Cass' and expose the "Gruesome Twosome" of Cassady and Enzo Amore to the world, revealing how disgusting the New Yorkers actually are. Breeze then left ready to compete.
(00:24)
COLIN CASSADY def. TYLER BREEZE - With 'Prince Pretty' as egotistical as ever, Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore decided to knock him down a peg tonight, as 'Big Cass' and the mobility scooter bound Enzo Amore poked fun of Breeze before the match, revealing a high school photo of 'Prince Pretty' sporting a terrible haircut, glasses and acne! Breeze was throwing a tantrum in the ring, as 'Big Cass' came to the ring for action coming off of a failed attempt to claim the NXT Heavyweight Championship three weeks ago. But that display made by 'Big Cass' and Enzo before the match had Tyler all worked up, as Tyler Breeze tried to pound right into the taller Cassady, just for Colin to shove him off and nail Breeze with a big boot! Colin Cassady followed up with a cover, but 'Prince Pretty' managed to kick out at two. Cassady had the Full Sail crowd completely behind him as the 'Mayor of Cutesville' regrouped, Tyler connecting with a slap across the face of Cassady before targeting the legs of his taller opponent. Tyler brought Cass down to the canvas where he stomped away at the legs and attempted to go for the win quickly just for Cassady to kick out at every attempt. Enzo led the fans in clapping their hands together from his scooter on the rampway, as Breeze continued to go after the legs of Cassady, including attempting some sort of Indian Deathlock, but Breeze got kicked off! Breeze bounced off the ropes and tried for the Beauty Shock on Cassady on his knees - but Colin ducked and rebounded from the ropes, connecting with a big boot for the three count at 4:31. **
The NXT Universe came to life as 'Big Cass's hand was raised in victory, Colin Cassady having rebounded from his loss several weeks ago to Bo Dallas tonight against Tyler Breeze in impressive fashion! Cass celebrated his win as he headed up the rampway to high-five and celebrate with the injured Enzo Amore; 'Prince Pretty' meanwhile throwing a tantrum in the ring over what has transpired.

In the locker room, the Australian Emma was shown leaving the Full Sail University when suddenly the exit was blocked by Sasha Banks and Summer Rae. Sasha and Summer seemed to be playing nice with Emma, as they asked how she was before getting into business. The BFFs talked to Emma about how next week must be so big that Emma must be ecstatic about the potential idea of becoming NXT Women's Champion. That's when Summer tried to persuade Emma that next week will be the biggest night of her life and that she'll be facing a false friend in Paige. Emma tried to interrupt their attempts, but Summer said that Emma couldn't trust Paige, and that she would have to pull out all of the stops; trying to talk smack about Paige! The BFFs had Emma believing them, as Summer offered their services next week to take out the 'Anti-Diva'. The BFFs left, as Emma actually seemed to be considering their advice.

A video package aired, reviewing the press conference that took place yesterday in Las Vegas, Nevada; a handful of WWE Superstars and Hall of Famers on hand as the big unveiling of a surprise was made: the debut of the WWE Network! Available on personal computers, the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Smart Phones and Smart TVs; the Network will be a huge happening with 3000 hours worth of video footage in their extensive library - plus, original content such as WWE Legend's House, the Monday Night War, the WrestleMania Rewind; and to top it off, WWE programming such as Main Event and NXT will all be coming to the Network. The WWE Network will arrive and launch on Monday, February 24, 2014 following Monday Night RAW. (00:34)
Before Kassius Ohno made his entrance to the NXT Universe, out came the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas, as Bo was suited up tonight; the suave, arrogant NXT Champion deciding to join commentary for the gauntlet in a few moments. Bo introduced himself as the best darn NXT Heavyweight Champion in WWE history to the announce team, as he talked about wanting to spectate going into this match tonight between Kassius Ohno and his three opponents. Bo talked about how he couldn't wait to announce the stipulation he had in mind, claiming that the NXT Universe would love what Bo has to say - much to the laughter of the announce team.
(00:36)
- NEXT WEEK: It could be Emma's time to shine as she challenges her best friend Paige for the NXT Women's Championship. It could also get very intense when Sami Zayn confronts Antonio Cesaro in the ring. Also in action, Tyson Kidd takes on Aiden English of the Legionnaires, and Mojo Rawley will be in action!
#TheGauntlet
THE GAUNTLET - WHO MAKES THE STIPULATION? KASSIUS OHNO vs BULL DEMPSEY The first step of the gauntlet, Bo Dallas watched on from commentary having assembled this trio of NXT Superstars to take on the number one contender to the NXT Heavyweight Championship, Kassius Ohno tonight in one big main event to NXT tonight. Bo's first option, as he announced it loudly to the chagrin of the Full Sail crowd - was the old school Bull Dempsey: a tank-resembling beast wearing a black singlet and sporting long brown hair, Bull Dempsey went into this match connecting with several lefts and rights to Kassius - but this old school throwback may have met the wrong match, as Kassius responded with several hard lefts and rights of his own, Bull however managing to cut him off with a huge body block sending the 'Knockout Kid' to the canvas. Bull stomped away at Kassius repeatedly, the youngster being played up by Bo as being hungry, wanting glory and a chance to shine here in NXT. Dempsey soon went up to the top rope, going for a diving headbutt but Ohno managed to move; Ohno then slowly getting to his feet and catching Dempsey with a big KO elbow to the back of the head of Dempsey; Ohno scoring the first win at 3:37. WINNER: KASSIUS OHNO (**) The NXT Universe cheered as Kassius Ohno, bewildered after a physical first stage of the gauntlet moments ago; the 'Knockout Kid' awaiting the next challenger of Bo Dallas' gauntlet. Ohno seemed to be taking this very seriously, wanting to choose the stipulation for their upcoming NXT Heavyweight Championship match - as Dallas condescendingly congratulated Kassius on getting his first win. Dallas then introduced his second challenger, citing him as someone Ohno may know very well: Leo Kruger! With that, the South-African bounty hunter made his way methodically down the ramp, coming off of a big loss last week to Sami Zayn in a Falls Count Anywhere match. (00:43)
#TheGauntlet THE GAUNTLET - WHO MAKES THE STIPULATION? KASSIUS OHNO vs LEO KRUGERWhat a challenge this must be for Kassius Ohno, having to go through three men in one night: and this was only his second opponent. After previously defeating Bull Dempsey in a relatively kept short match (wise on the part of Ohno), he now had to go up against a former ally of his, who was reeling after last week losing to Sami Zayn in a falls count anywhere match. Kruger started off with several lefts and rights, but Kassius fired back - just for Leo to kitchen sink the 'Knockout Kid'. Grounding Ohno, Kruger proceeded to bring the hurt to his former ally, pounding away at him and seemingly targeting the neck of Kassius in this one. Kruger had found the weak spot in Ohno's arsenal, as fatigue set in for the number one contender to the NXT Heavyweight Champion. Kruger applied a bear hug on Ohno, holding it in as Kassius soon dropped down to a knee. Kruger kept clutching away at Ohno as Bo Dallas watched on, clearly loving this as he gave his input on commentary: obnoxiously cheering Ohno on. Kassius eventually did break out of it with a big KO elbow to the temple - but when he went to follow it with the discus back elbow, Kruger caught Ohno, delivering a big suplex on the 'Knockout Kid' for two yet again. Kruger began to choke Ohno, doing anything to wear down the more experienced man: but Kassius came back fighting once again, a double underhook powerbomb connected again for two. Ohno followed up, a rolling cutter for a two count: Ohno at this point trying to do anything to keep Kruger down and advance to the third and final opponent. Ohno soon tried again for the KO smash, but Kruger turned it into a spinebuster, once again for two! Kruger argued with the referee, proving to be a big mistake, as when he turned back Kassius locked Leo in the Kassius Klutch, the cravate locked in, and Kruger had no choice but to tap out, giving Kassius his second win in 8:14, 12:01 overall.
WINNER: KASSIUS OHNO (**1/4) Kassius Ohno's hand was raised in victory, but the 'Knockout Kid' was tired out, clutching his neck after a hard fought fall with Leo Kruger. Bo Dallas got off of commentary and made his way down the rampway; clapping his hands, he congratulated Ohno on making it this far: because the third opponent was...the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas!

THE GAUNTLET - WHO MAKES THE STIPULATION?
KASSIUS OHNO vs NXT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BO DALLAS
What a sly move by the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas, to strike on Kassius Ohno when he's tired and exhausted after going through two matches already tonight. Bo removed his shirt and wrestled in dress pants for this one, as Kassius met him quickly with a big boot to the temple for a near fall. The 'Knockout Kid' was out to survive this one against the obnoxious champion, as Bo rolled out of the ring to regroup. Ohno slowly followed, as Kassius tried to send Bo into the ring just for Bo to send Ohno sailing into the ring post hard! Bo then dragged Ohno into the ring for a near fall, as Ohno was showing tenacity and dedication in this final stage of the gauntlet. Bo decided that it was time for the Bo-Dazzler, but Kassius broke free and went for the rolling elbow smash one more time, but Bo moved and Ohno hit the canvas out of exhaustion: Bo then capitalizing, picking Ohno up and dropping him with the Bo-Dazzler for three in 2:11, 14:12 overall.
WINNER: NXT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BO DALLAS (n/a) The NXT Universe booed Bo Dallas loudly, as the NXT Heavyweight Champion clutched his title belt as if he had just won a serious match with his title on the line! Kassius Oho was down and out, as Bo ran around the ring, jumping up and down in victory. Bo took the microphone and placed his NXT title over his shoulder, as Bo began to announce his stipulation to the NXT Universe for their title match...if Kassius doesn't win, then he is gone from NXT! The fans booed loudly, as Bo celebrated over an unconscious Ohno: could this be one of the last times we see Kassius Ohno in an NXT ring? NXT went off the air with Bo stood tall over Ohno, the Full Sail crowd booing loudly.
(00:54)
- NEXT MONTH: After winning the Gauntlet, NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas has named a stipulation for his future match with Kassius Ohno: it's NXT Heavyweight Championship versus Kassius Ohno's career.

NXT News of the Week (January 8-15, 2014)
- NXT Diva and number one contender to the NXT Women's Championship Emma made her WWE debut on this past Monday night on RAW. Emma appeared in the audience and was shown several times on-camera with her 'EMMA-LUTION' sign. It remains to be seen whether this will be a long-term angle or if this will be a one-time deal. (January 13, 2014)
- In what could be seen as foreshadowing, NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas worked last week's live events on the main roster. Dallas worked with WWE Superstar R-Truth in what was intended to be for the NXT Heavyweight Championship, but Dallas managed to cower out of each one, leading to the matches being non-title bouts. R-Truth won every night, but Dallas got significant heat via all reports for his promos. (January 8, 2014)
- Last week we reported that Eddie Edwards may be being scouted for a contract offer made by WWE after impressing in his television appearance several weeks ago. We also reported that Davey Richards has not been offered a contract by the WWE. It is now confirmed that Edwards has been offered a contract whilst Davey has not been. Edwards has reportedly signed the contract and will report to the WWE Performance Center for medical testing and a formal introduction to the developmental territory later this month. (January 12, 2014)
- Brandi Runnels is now the ring announcer for NXT, beginning next week. This decision was revealed at tonight's NXT tapings. Brandi has been under a developmental contract for over a year and is married to WWE Superstar, Cody Rhodes. (January 9, 2014)
- In an NXT alumnus report, last week at the SmackDown tapings NXT Season 3 winner and former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn announced that she was retiring and leaving the WWE. Her final match was in a losing effort against fellow NXT Season 3 Diva and best friend AJ Lee, taped for Main Event. The two embraced in a hug to end their long-term rivalry established in the past year, and end Kaitlyn's career. The doors are open for her to return in the future. (January 8, 2014)
- WWE have signed a contract with CTH (a television station in Thailand), giving CTH the rights to air air five WWE programmes for the next five years. Included in this deal are Monday Night RAW, WWE Main Event, WWE Superstars, WWE NXT and Friday Night SmackDown. (January 9, 2014) |

Well, hello NXT! Ah, yes, the Bo Dallas Gauntlet for Kassius Ohno. I Bo-lieve he will win that gauntlet! Good opener with the women going at it, with the NXT Women's Champion Paige getting the victory over DA BOSS. I don't like Sasha that much, so, I'm good with this. Decent interview with Corey Graves, a bit odd with The Ascension and everything that happened. We'll see what comes of all of this. Rusev and English? Interesting tandem I suppose. Curious as to what you do with both of them down the road. RUSEV FOOTIAYA! RUSEV PATCHKA! RUSEV CRUSH MIZ! I like that. Eff The Miz. He's a cumburger. Yup, I said it. Good victory for Rusev, makes him look really strong beating a WWE superstar. Tyler Breeze is really meh to me. A solid talent for NXT, but I never see him succeeding on the main roster. Don't you dare mess with Big Cass and Enzo Amore, Breeze. BADA BING, BADA BOOM! DUMBEST GUY IN DA ROOM? TYLER BREEZE! That's right, Big Cass with the win! Take that, bitch. Don't take the bait, Emma! Don't take the bait! Just smile and dance! Ah, The Gauntlet time! Lol, Bull Dempsey. Screw that chunky bastard. Obvious win to start off for Ohno. Next, against Leo Kruger. Another solid win for him but whoa. A nice swerve to conclude things with Bo Dallas... what a ****, having to beat Ohno after he takes a beating through two matches. Next week, though, Kassius is going to win. I don't see you having him leave NXT. A good edition of NXT, liked the swerve at the end especially.

Okay, so I haven't been keeping up with this like I wanted to. That's about to change. Episode 203. Wise choice for an opener as Paige was a very hot and over act down in NXT. Sasha Banks is damn good and I hope you give her a push later in the years. I loved the BFFs. Big time Women's Championship match next week. Corey Graves promo was solid. Whoa, Aiden English as part of the Legionnaires? Not sure how I feel about that but I'm intrigued. It's something different, which is always commendable. Was Miz still a face at this time? Man, he sucked hard as a face. Big win for Alexander Rusev. Don't drop his first name please. Surprised to see Big Cass defeat Tyler Breeze. Breeze has a MUCH higher ceiling. Oh, BFFs and your manipulative ways. The WWE Network is coming! And will it be $9.99? Bo Dallas saying "best darn" is so fitting. Next week's episode looks big. I don't like Bull Dempsey. Bo Dallas as the last opponent was a perfect heel move and I'm definitely interested in their eventual match with Kassius Ohno's career on the line. Good stuff. I like that the layout is different and I look forward to more.
