Am I missing something? How is this even remotely funny? Not funny at all. I get the corny, happy, 80's/90's TV show intro's.... But still. I didn't laugh at all. The Too Many Cooks was probably pointing at to many sitcoms with the same concept. I don't know, but it sucked. |

I saw this on comedy central about 45 minutes ago. It was good for the first minute, after 5 minutes, I was done. Yes, I got it. Intros to 80s/90s sitcoms were cheesy. They didn't need 10 minutes to prove that. If you think it was ahout 80s/90s sitcoms then no, you didn't get it. Help me figure it out. What's it about? |

It plays on what we remember about those sitcoms; how the opening credits made these people out to be part of a warm loving cast (usually a family).
Obviously the amount of people shown is a play on 'too many cooks spoil the broth' but as it goes on the fact that despite the seemingly "safe" approach of an '80's or '90's sitcom, something sinister can lurk beneath the surface still in a clever way.
It's not meant to be laugh-out-loud funny IMO, most satires and parodies aren't (at least in my experience) but they are clever, and this is one is right up there for me.

It was too long and honestly, I didn't think it really made any sense. I thought it was meandering its way to a point a few times, but when all is said and done, it just seems to be weirdness for the sake of weirdness. With that said, I did enjoy some of the references, and the ending was particularly funny. So, I didn't hate it, I just thought it should've been a lot shorter.
