"he didn't want to come back and have his return not be a big deal"
Maybe don't do bland comebacks every year then.

Good idea, from a storyline standpoint Y2J hasn't really had much going on so having him on just live events will be a nice little treat for the fans going. Doesn't have to worry about constantly putting over on TV when he comes back, still gets to do what he loves and it'll probably boost the live event sales a little so its good for everyone.

I'm okay with this. His recent returns have been pretty lackluster so using him as a live event only guy works. He's stated on his podcast that he loves working the non-televised shows.

Reverse Brock Lesnar? Why cause Jericho has a neck?

Good. As much as I love Jericho, since his feud with Shawn ended, the storylines he's been involved in have been mediocre. CM Punk's feud with him was pretty good too. Doing only live events will allow him to face whoever, and also to surprise/treat the fans.

Jericho's greatest value is probably on the road at house shows right now. If he can help sell tickets and t-shirts that's likely going to be better than him coming in for 5 mins, losing arbitrarily to someone and then disappearing again. I don't mind the idea of a Jericho schedule, but Jericho is so sporadic with it that it really doesn't help him or the guy he's working with imo. I enjoyed his stuff with Ziggler and Wyatt, but I think the only relevant thing Jericho has done in the last few years is his feud with Punk. It's just diminishing returns now.

He is, but Jericho would yell ya this instead.... "Jericho is excellence"

I love Jericho but man, I just have a hard time caring about what he does. It's so pointless. You know he's going to leave...he's just there.

What we ended up getting was a poor result. It would benefit Jericho from dot doing anything wrestling related for 12-18 months. I am a huge Jericho fan but man, he hasn't been doing it for me in his most recent run.

Much respect for him to be willing to work house shows and not want to clutter the main roster.

Reverse Brock Lesnar? Why cause Jericho has a neck? I think it's because Jericho actually appears on TV more than Brock Lesnar does

I will take Jericho back in any way, at any time, whenever he wants. Dude is MONEY, all the time.

"he didn't want to come back and have his return not be a big deal" Maybe don't do bland comebacks every year then. I've been saying this for 6 freaking years! He comes & goes way too much.
