I hope this is good. I really liked the original movie, but did not like 2 or 3 at all. Parts of this look exciting, however parts of the trailer give me similar vibes to 2 and 3.

If you don't mind me asking, what was it about the new trailer that made you feel that way? I was actually talking with my friends last night about it, we were trying to place our finger on it. We're all huge Jurassic Park fans and have been eagerly anticipating this, like many, for years. The original teaser had me all sorts of excited, them too. The only thing we could really come up with last night was that it looks too "futuristic" for our tastes, if that makes sense. One of my favorite things about the original is the dark, jungle/safari type nature it carried. Also, of course, the certain sense of innocence, both from the perspective of the kids and the dinosaurs. This second trailer played it up to be a more traditional action/monster movie, so to speak. That, of course, and how badly I was hoping they'd use animatronics over CGI. It's pretty crazy to think a film from 1993 features far more realistic looking creatures than a brand new, 2015 blockbuster. That's something I knew was coming from the teaser, though. Regardless, I'm still excited. I'll still be there opening weekend. Hopefully, if anything, this just quelled my expectations enough to not leave disappointed. I actually think Jurassic World's setting makes complete sense when one considers the underlying antagonistic intent present in every film. The bottom line was never to simply resurrect dinosaurs, it was to exploit them in the name of profit. Jurassic World finally actualizes this notion. And what's great is this movie echoes many of the current sentiments regarding facilities such as Sea World.

The new trailers are pretty awesome and I feel like I'm 7 all over again. I am very excited for this but I'm curious about the raptor attacking one of the ACU guys in the trailer. I'm guessing that it's one of Pratt's and perhaps they stand up for him after thing escalate with the InGen people and him. If not, does anyone see the raptors turning on Pratt and everyone? Strikes me as a possibility just showing that you can't truly control and contain any creature.

LOL it was good but I am not crying. Tears of joy! I know I meant to say I was not crying (in a good way either). I still really look forward to it and will probably be there on Thursday night or at least opening weekend to watch it.

I'm still looking forward to it but I'm not sure at this point how great it will be. That trailer just seemed a bit off to me. Still, I'm going to be there opening day!

I can't even tell you how excited I am for this movie. I'm sort of the most forgiving JP fan that I know - there's room in my heart for all three movies to varying degrees. I'm not particularly picky, so long as there's a general underlying theme of dinosaurs existing alongside human beings whom they chase and try to eat.
The one sort of let down I'm feeling right now (aside from not being able to see the movie til it's out on Blu-Ray) is the fact that some of the most recent trailers have been pretty forthcoming with footage of the new freakshow dinosaur.

That is a bit disappointing, but not as unforgivable as it would have been to show the old girl.. And by that I mean the T-Rex from the first movie that has been heavily rumored to return in Jurassic World in a huge way.. I can get over seeing the new dinosaur they created, just as long as they don't spoil the big reveal of the T-Rex or show the ole girl roaring.. Just thinking about it gives me literal chills.. If you listen closely in the new trailers you can hear the original T-Rex roaring. It's hard to pick up on but it's incredible when you realize that's what that noise is.. Think about certain shots in all the trailers like Bryce Dallas Howard holding a flair as a door opens, Bryce Dallas Howard running away as two giant feet are behind her, the shot of the goat.. I don't think the new dinosaur is suppose to make your jaw drop as much as seeing the original big.bad dino of Isla Nublar. And in the words of our great John Hammond..

Universal has been releasing trailers like crazy.. We're up to 15 TV spots. A bit of an overkill and I'm avoiding most of them, but it's a struggle.. I want my daily dose of Jurassic World at this point.. Restraint is HARD.
Then yesterday they released a trailer that just dropped the mic. Seriously this is so awesome, and super creepy.. Really gives you a sense that Jurassic World is going to focus more on the scare and small horror aspects the original had. Even though as a child the first movie had me in total awe, it was equally as terrifying.. Purposely.
I present to you, the final Jurassic World trailer I'll ever watch.. I. AM. READY.

Just got back from seeing it, gonna refrain from spoilers because I don't know whether or not its alright to post them right now.
I loved it, granted I tried to stop watching trailers if I could help it to try and not get my expectations to high, but I felt that it was amazing. The nods to the original, the nostalgia parts and even the ending was very well done and I think people will like it. The deaths were more brutal when you think about them and they showed alot more than the original did which surprised me. And the whole "trained Raptors" thing was more well done than I expected too. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard did a great job.
I'd rank them....
1. Jurassic Park 2. Jurassic World 3. The Lost World 4. Jurassic Park III
Not sure I want to wait another 14 years for a sequel lol but it was well worth the wait IMO. They did a great job with the entire thing. Ill probably post more when others have seen it.

I don't think you'll have to wait that long for another JP

I plan on seeing this on Tuesday.
How the CGI look? Any practical effects like the original?
