It's a pretty decent figure to be honest, the hybrid style is perfect and should be used in both Basic and Elite lines IMO.
The main reason I buy the Basics over Elites is because of that ugly ab-crunch. I mean what even is that? It's hideous and only moves about 25 degrees, so it's not as if it really even adds anything to the figure, they also tend to be loose most of the time, so the figure ends up stooping like a 95 year old man.
Basics aren't perfect, but I'd take limited leg articulation over an aesthetically unpleasing ab crunch any day of the week.

Dying for this fig. Looks completely badass. And I have a spare elite 10 kane torso, so I'll make it all elite articulated. Don't bother, it's not going to work. I took it apart already since I was going to do the same thing but it's a different peg on the pants. It's really low and I haven't seen anything like this before. Damn that sucks. Thanks for the info though.

Sick figure. Don't care for him on Raw wrestling in slacks but the fig is bad ass.

I'd happily buy more basics, if they had extra articulation like Kane's.

Just grabbed 2 yesterday & thought that it was pretty cool, wouldn't mind seeing some more hybrid figures like this...while I love elites, I can't seem to get behind basics do the mainly the crappy leg articulation, if they made more hybrids I'd be inclined to buy more basics (although I won't hold my breath) agreed. The leg articulation is the main reasons I don't do many basics. Yeah, see that's why i'm not sold on them either because some people have always stood broad, rather than straight up.... Example. the only reason why i don't like the Rock figure from the DX In Your House PPV intercontinental belt set with Austin is because Rock always stands broadly. The legs on mind stand so far together the looks like he's gonna fall over. Most Rock basics are like this. Just using Rock as an example. HHH is another....The other again, is knee articulation. Every basic Undertaker (and Kane) figure I've ever gotten looks absolutely horrible when i bend the knees. The elites grew on me over the years, i can definitely say that. Elite 12 Kane was the first elite I ever got. I guess that is one of the hooks. lol However, I've seen some good looking basics as well. And the one thing i like about basics are the upper torsos.....Mr Perfect for example. Perfect looked like a really lanky guy on the elite, but he looks more accurate (buff) in the basic. My guess is that Basic are for general/rough play (thus being cheaper) and elites are for light play and posing.
