2014 is almost in the books. With that in mind, let's reflect on the figure collecting highlights this year...
Mine would have to be Amazon Mankind, Elite Usos and The Wyatt Family.
Usos because I've wanted some form of them since the first Battle Pack that I never found at retail and was unwilling to pay secondary market prices for. I'm also a tag team collector guy (always have been), so this was a really sweet addition.
Amazon Mankind because when the figure was announced it looked SO GOOD, but being from Canada seemed like it would be a BITCH to get my hands on (a la mail Away Vince McMahon) for a decent price. Then, all of the sudden in the middle of the summer BOOM, there he is, outta no where...for $15 widely available on Amazon. Felt like find of the decade in that moment.
And the Elite Wyatt's....just cause they look so damn cool and unique all hang in' together up on my shelf.

Mine would have to be LOD. They were my favorite tag team as a kid and I just started collecting this year so didn't have an opportunity to get them originally. They are in the attire I wanted and they just looking amazing with the shoulder pads.

First year collecting is done! My favourites, in no particular order (well, in the order they're standing on my shelf)
Basic 41 Cesaro for it's wonderful simplicity Elite 32 Daniel Bryan. Don't let the pictures fool you, this figure is a really good representation Summerslam Heritage CM Punk because pink

Mankind - the anticipation and final release was just awesome, especially at $15.
LOD - it's the version most of us wanted and they came out awesome.
New Age Outlaws - who would've ever expected to have official releases of these guys after the bashing they gave a few years ago.
The Wyatt Family - awesome gimmicks that translated to awesome figures

Easily Legion of Doom !
I felt so bad for leaving both L1 Road Warrior Animal and Hawk hanging at K-Mart years ago.
At the time, though, I wasn't collecting anymore, so I just looked at then for a second and put them back onto the pegs.
However, even then I would've picked them up had they been the ones that we got from E30 !
I had missed out on the Jakks CSTT 1 LOD, so I loved that Mattel did them justice and released them in their iconic red LOD attire.

I only started collecting recently, but my vote would go to the Elite Usos as well. They completely changed my perception of wrestling figures. They are as good, if not better, than any of the other figures I own in this style and scale, and between Marvel Legends, DC Universe Classics, DC Collectibles, Masters of the Universe, Star Wars Black, Funko Legacy, and others, I own a LOT of figures in this style and scale.
I used to dismiss wrestling figures as cartoonish and lacking detail based on what was coming out 10 years ago. Not anymore. Not after the Usos. They opened my eyes to how much higher the bar has been raised in recent years. They also opened the floodgates, because I've been buying Elites like crazy since then.

2014 has been, in my view, the best year with Mattel so far. Sooooo many outstanding figures hit the market this year. e30 Luger/LOD, e31 Vader, the majority of e29 was great. Debut Mankind, the Wyatts, a lot of the Superstar Entrance figures, the Summer Slam Heritage wave, RR91 Warrior, Zeb,all those different RVDs, just a briliant year. But if i had to pick just one it would have to be DM Ric Flair.......after all the years of waiting for a Mattel figure of the Naitch, it was a hell of a payoff. And just think, 2015 looks to possibly be even better than this year! Lots to look forward to.

- Lex Luger: Sure, his WWE/USA Luger run wasn't good, but there is something about that figure, and period of time it represents to me, that I love.
- Mankind(Amazon): Exceptionally well done figure and I always liked that initial Mankind.
- Ric Flair: It's Ric Flair.
- Wyatt Family: All 3 Elites are great and Bray was such an intriguing character until WWE damaged him with that Cena feud.
- LOD: Despite the yellow in Animals facepaint, which I don't like, they are great looking figures and long overdue.

I can't believe it was just this year E27 was released, that being said, I couldn't wait to get E27 Billy Gunn. I've been waiting on his figure since the day I started collecting Mattel figures (last year? lmao). Though it was a disappointment I'm just glad Mattel released the BadAss! My list goes on though, Road Dogg, Exclusive Mankind, Rikishi, L.O.D, Vader, WMXXX HBK, The Wyatts, RVD, great releases. This year was definitely their best so far and I know next year is going to out do this year, so be prepared.

Legion of Doom, yes, Legion of Doom, NOT Road Warriors guys! I love the look, the attire is my favourite of theirs and the scans look AWESOME! They bring back memories of the early 90s playing with my Hasbros and you can't beat nostalgia

i can tell you that my biggest surprise is e31 dean ambrose. i never thought it will look so good in person comparing to the photos at rsc and be much fun. i bought it just to have it and regretted it after purchase, but god after i saw it and played with it a little i love it to death. there are many favorite figures threads, but the figures i was most anticipated towards having after purchase and were really fun to unbox are the elite wyatt family, boppv2014 orton , e30 batista (e23 cesaro? idk when it was released but i only bought it 3 months ago and it was fun as hell)

E30 Hawk, DM Flair and the Mankind. Now if this question is asked this time next year it will be the DM Sting.
