Really? When's it supposed to come out? No clue. Main character is Shao Jun in the early 1500s, she was one of Ezio's prized initiates after she fled China when her brotherhood was whiped out when (guessing on college history knowledge) the Jaijing Emperor went on a persecution rampage of anyone who wasn't Daoist. She's back in China and looking for revenge. Interesting story idea. Sounds awesome. I had no idea another AC was in the works and in China no less.

I don't think its a full AC as much as a couple of sequences. I also think its a 2D art style but I might be miles off the mark on that one.
She was first shown in the short movie Assassins Creed: Embers which came with special editions of Revelations. I expect its on YouTube if you're interested, its about 15 minutes I think.

After the mess that Unity was on launch day, I will not be pre-ordering Victory and instead will be waiting until I can confirm it can run fine without a low fps or graphical errors.

-Apologizes for posting twice-
Interested to see where the settings go. As they're already in the 1800s. As weird as it may seem AC in Vietnam may be awesome or a 1980's red scare era set in Manhattan.

I have to say I was a little bummed out that the setting wasn't 20 years later than where it is. I thought having the Jack the Ripper murders happening in the city during the time of the game, possibly even trying to hunt him down, and find out who he was, would have been interesting. From what I see though, it does look like a cool game.

I think Ubisoft peaked with AC III because I had a lot of fun playing that game, let alone AC II, Brotherhood, and Revelations. I honestly did not like Black Flag and never really had the time to play Unity. The games are getting repetitive and I honestly feel they should have ended it when Desmond died. And if Ubisoft wants to continue making this series, they should probably go to feudal Japan or something. That would be a freakin' sick time period to do.

I'll be picking it up tomorrow, and the more stuff I've seen on it, the more I'm looking forward to it. Should be interesting have revolvers for the first time, and I like the pairing of two assassins instead of one. Was really thrilled when they announced the Jack The Ripper DLC too. When they announced the game's time as 1868, I was bummed to see it miss the Ripper story by 20 years, but glad to see they chose that for DLC, having you try to catch Jack.

So far I like the story. I'm trying to do all of the Templar and Bounty hunts...a few of them are tricky. I'm using Evie more than Jacob, but that's because it's clear: Evie and Green have a relationship blooming so I'd rather watch those cutscenes compared to Jacob's "Rooks FTW" stuff. The first three memory sequences went by really quick...hope the other ones are a bit slower. I understand one and two being quick, getting used to the differences relating to Jacob and Evie as characters, but three was really short even with the somewhat fun sequence 3 boss fight ending thing.

I'm with you on loving the story. Love the gameplay this year too. The change in play in Unity hurt it with me, but it's back to feeling smoother this year. Love the dynamic of Evie and Jacob, and how their loyalties are to the Assassins, but their methods are just so different. I have to say, I think my favorite weapons are the canes, because the kill animations for them are just down right brutal, and cool.

So... I just finished Sequence 4 and so far this just doesn't have the feel of a traditional AC game. Has all of the basic mechanics, the Assassin/Templar plot, but like...there's so much focus on Evie/Green underlying romance, the Gang Wars (which I hate...a lot...the Gamg leaders are the hardest things in this game) and some very weirdly placed historical figures. I'm digging Dickens, a lot. But Charles Darwin helping bring down the Templars? What? Then there's the underlying Communist Revolution which I suppose fits the scene of the game but Karl Marx feels so out of place...I'm thoroughly enjoying the game it's just got a different feel. I want some real world stuff. Maybe get to play as Becca, Hastings, Bishop or The Initiate. And what about the whole Juno thing from a few games back?
One last thing, I enjoyed exploring the Kenway mansion and the brief "what up" to Connor with the hatchet sighting. There have been legit no Ezio or Altiar eggs other than you can buy their Assassin garb though. That's slightly disappointing.

I haven't played a AC since Revelations. I played part of 3, but absolutely hated it. Then I read the ending and hated it more.
Has there been any games since Revelations worth picking up? I loved the series a lot until 3, and played it regularly. I even have an Ezio action figure, but something about 3 did just not agree with me I guess.

Unity was ok, so was Rogue. But four, yes. Black Flag is great.

He's got a lot of the same swagger that Ezio had, and him and the story, didn't follow the typical path of the previous games, when it comes to the character's path to the brotherhood. He doesn't have the initial noble intentions like previous characters had. The naval combat is a lot of fun two, a lot more entertaining than in 3.
